Sssooooooo,

If Jason **really** needed to get that 'furniture' so badly and the meeting was in 'Western VA'.......

He could've left earlier on Thursday for mommy's at Brevard, got there, loaded the stuff in the car, stayed overnight then got up early to drive to his meeting in 'western VA', had his meeting then driven home to his wife. Certainly would've saved hotel costs.

Why did he not do that?

Oh that's right, there'd be no reason to call Meredith and ask her to go play 'fetch' and he didn't want to be the first to find Michelle's body.

Jake said he called Mommy at 9 pm Thursday and LEARNED of the "stuff" for the first time. Sure, why not swing by Brevard +3 1/2 hours Friday afternoon and then make the 5 hour drive on to Raleigh. My Buddy and his wife can just wait.

Don't forget gojo AKA Jake told us about how this plan to visit Mama transpired. Jason left Raleigh for the 2 1/2 hour drive to Hillsville Va at 8 pm. At 9 pm, he called Mama on his cell and made last minute plans to visit Brevard, spending Friday night. Baby furniture was in Brevard for the taking. Gojo then said he called Michelle at 11 pm and got her ok for the side trip, even though his best college bud and his wife were driving over Friday evening from Charlotte to spend the weekend for Homecoming.

As your post points out, this is total BS.

Howdy,

I'm afraid my total Best Sharing has this poster, Barney Fife AKA RPD, totally confused. Sorry about that. I'm sure it must be my fault for faulty communication. I hope he won't mind if I do some correcting so others on the board will not also be confused.

1. Rather than Mama, I usually refer to her more respectfully as Mrs. Young, or Jason's mother.

2. Jason left Raleigh somewhere around 8 pm

3. He called his mother around 9 pm, but I don't know if it was on his cell. It may have been.

4. I didn't say he made "last minute" plans. Perhaps he was only confirming earlier plans, as I would suspect is true.

5. I didn't say anything about baby furniture. In fact, the furniture was not baby furniture. This furniture, however, would allow Jason and Michelle to move Cassie to another room and redecorate the nursery for the newborn baby boy.

6. I believe Jason called Michelle around 11 pm, possibly after he arrived at his motel, and confirmed with her that it would make sense for him to go on to Brevard from his meeting. I believe this was because, as Jason and Michelle had already discussed, they would have no room for the furniture at a Thanksgiving trip with Cassie and luggage. They were eager to get started on the newborn boy's room.

7. I said nothing about Jason's "best college bud" and have no idea how this poster connected me with information about him and his wife. Possibly another poster gave this poster that information.

Again, I really regret that this poster has been confused by my poor communication and that I have had to take up so much space to correct him. But this is totally the Best Sharing I have.

I was sure you would scan this board and clear this mess up. Sorry, Jake the story still boils down to Jay's best college Bud and his wife driving over from Charlotte that Friday evening. A cook out was planned. Jason's last minute plans to see Mama only happened because Michelle was dead.

1- I said Mama. You said Mrs. Young
2- Yes
3- Yes. When was the last time you saw a pay phone ?
4- Wrong. You said he called her at 9 and decided THEN to visit.
Sounds like "last minute" to me.
5- Right, you said Furniture. Baby or otherwise, you changed your story
and said "things" to decorate the room. Which was it ?
"Things" or furniture ?
6- You said the 11 pm call was to get Michelle's ok to make the trip. Now
you are speculating they already discussed.
7- I agree. Way too damning for you to consider. Will be key evidence
at trial.

I am sooo confused!

First, the 9pm phone call was apparently to his mother saying he would swing by the next day. Now Jake says it could have been a confirmation call. How so? When he was supposedly phoning Michelle at 11pm to see if it was ok.

I really don't think Jake knows very much.

Hi Jake,

Can you explain to me why Jason's sister is "custodian" of the house?

Thanks
Sami

Bumping for Sami as I too would like to know why Jason's sister is the custodian of the house. Interesting turn of events.

RC

Jake will need to clarify his statement, but I understood it mean his sister was the person designated by JY to first take custody of the house and furnishings the day LE released it.

It appears it is a habit for JY to leave all of the hard tasks to the women around him. He has his Mum call LE and speak for him. He runs into the house and leaves his Mum, Sis and Bil to deal with LE when he does return to Raleigh, he leaves the cleanup of the mess made at Birchleaf to his Sis - hmmmm.

I believe that is the point of the exercise Strach...:liar:

I did like Sami's idea though, till they blew it all full of holes. Her route made so much more sense if the other factors in play were correct in the first place.

Just like his marriage, imo.

Actually, Sami's route looks fairly innocent - too bad JY didn't think of that one, he could have made it back to Raleigh in time to meet his out of town company...and he sure as heck would look as innocent as the route looks.

I don't include Sami's post as part of the exercise by the way.

No, of course not Sami's
Yes, hers makes so much more sense is what I meant, so like she said why not if...

Pity we can't have voice posting, lmao.....sarcasm just doesn't cut it in writing. :(

The 'I have furniture for you Jason' discussion at 9pm, then waiting 2 hours to 'get permission' from Michelle to pick it up sounds like complete utter baloney to me.

If he could phone his mom at 9pm he could've phoned Michelle straight after he hung up.....but I don't think Michelle would've minded because..........

She was just a lovely woman who had no choice in the matter anyhow! Even if she said yes, and wasn't murdered...he probably would've went anyway.

Howdy,

This is the first I have heard of this. Do you feel free to give the name of someone who heard him say he was unhappy? Is there any way to give a link to another post?

Thanks.

--Jake

no. but it was known by more than one person and they knew jason had a girlfriend in Florida.

now jake is saying that it wasn't "baby furniture" but furniture meant to decorate the baby's room.

in a previous post, he mentioned that the baby's clothes were hanging
in Cassidy's closet.

was Cassidy going to share her room with the baby? or was the baby
going to have his own bedroom?

if he were going to share his room with Cassidy, it makes it even less likely
that there would be a rush to get furniture delivered.

Michelle would most likely still have a rocking chair, crib and changing table or dresser. Michelle would have had those things in preparation for the baby who died from the car accident.

Unless, she thought that Cassidy was going to be an only child, i don't think Michelle would give those things away. she might lend them to a friend but would ask for them back if she were to get pregnant again.

imo

eta: i just read jake's post that the furniture jason was picking up was meant to be used by Cassidy
in another room and that baby was going to take over cassidy's room. This would explain why the baby's
clothes were hanging in Cassidy's closet.

it still seems very unlikely to me that all this trouble and extra driving time would happen at the same
moment jason's friends were coming into town to stay with him.

Howdy,

I'm wondering, too. The public inventory? Maybe the cops would hide some things. But I am under the impression that the cops would have to give the custodian of the house (Jason's sister) an itemized list of every item removed from the house. Maybe not.

--Jake

evidently not if it is evidence or is in a warrant that is under seal, is that correct RC?

imo

Howdy,

You're right. I should have chosen a better word than "hide". "Exclude" is a good word. I think I was thinking "hide" from the killer.

Another suspect? I don't know of anyone else being looked at, nor anything about a conspiracy. I believe I am though looking at the possibility of two persons being involved, as in a conspiracy, but I doubt Jason is one of them.

I believe I am trying to think of someone who would hate Michelle enough to beat her to death. Or, it could be someone who feared her conversations with the therapist enough to put a halt to her visits. But I don't know what Michelle could tell the therapist that would put someone else in mortal danger.

--Jake

telling something to the therapist most certainly put Michelle in mortal danger - she was killed shortly thereafter.

that someone who feared her conversations with the therapist was
her husband, Jason.

I know- I have the smarties today. I suspect the furniture is just as much rumor as everything else. If true its a pretty weak excuse as The Saint has pointed out so cleverly. It becomes even weaker when the other events are tied in, such as company from out of town coming, arranging to pick it up before talking to Michelle to verify she would be comfortable babysitting his friends. little things like that you know.

Funny, if I call someone and they put me on hold to answer another call I hang up. I reckon if I went to visit someone in another city and they felt it was more important to go pick up furniture 5 hours away when I arrived, I don't think we would have much to talk about again. Incredibly stupid and definitely beyond rude IMO.

ETA - especially if their spouse was found murdered in the house.

i would think that if the houseguests knew that jason wouldn't be there, they would feel awkward at the idea that a pregnant working woman with a toddler was having to do all of the preparations for their visit PLUS
entertain them in her husband's absence.

These were college friends
of jason's not Michelle's as i understand it. maybe they didn't know her well. the couple might have felt like they were imposing to begin with
and if they found out jason wouldn't be there to greet them, it would make them feel really bad.

of course, little did they know HOW BAD they were going to feel about their trip when the heard the news that Michelle had been murdered.

i wonder if they feel guilty like maybe the pressure of them coming
into town for the game caused a big fight that resulted in michelle
being killed by jason.

imo
