A poster named sosad on ctv posted that someone in Raleigh called them while they were in route and decided to still come. If these are the same friends said to be at Merediths when Jason did arrive I'll bet they were questioned by LE. I know I would've. That poster said they don't know if they were aware of Jasons change of plans. You may not have seen it because you were out of town at the time, maybe? I haven't seen that poster acting like they wouldn't be credible and that did seem to be all they do know. It's a jump though for those who are saying it was the friends who were "interrogated" by LE to tell Jason to get a lawyer. If they did speak with him by phone he probably asked them what LE wanted to know.

I remember sosad and thinking her credible as well. Question now is, what friends called them to tell them what had heppened. Also, why would these friends be at Meredith's? They couldn't have all been friends of hers as well as JY/MY because you couldn't find a friend of JY's now that will say a single nice thing about her?

OK, seriously, I think there was mention of an interview on the phone with JY's family when they broke the news. LE said they spoke briefly to JY on the phone on the way back to raleigh and he immediately referred them to his lawyer. No doubt in my mind he had counsel before leaving Brevard and had nothing to do with friends. ITA with all of you that LE had much more to do than call JY's buddies and ask them any questions.

Obviously they would look at the husband first. Common knowledge, so I don't think that was a huge deal. I'm sure LE thought it was suspicious that he was out of town but surely could have been coincidence. Something tells me there was something in the house that implicated JY immediately. Not that there was no signs of forced entry but something else, something personal. The wedding photos come to mind immediately but can't say for sure. For some reason, I think those pictures are going to be a key factor as well as his big old feet .

I wanted to snip parts of this as I've become a bandwidth menace but can't figure out how? Anyway, I'm intrigued by what Pack thinks they found interesting about the photos and JY's feet?

About the photos, just wandering why they would be interested in the wedding photos. In one of the search warrants, LE removed three wedding photos from the home. Imo, I beleive they were broken, probably by Michelle after finding out something. Possibly an affair or just maybe just sick of JY altogether. I do think the therapist will have more details to the problems in the marriage and she could have just been frustrated. Other possibility is that they could have been used at some point and could have some sort of evidence (dna or fingerprints) but I think it is rather personal to be using wedding photos as a weapon. It is possible that they were on the nightstand and she grabbed for them in self defense but my gut tells me otherwise. It has also been mentioned that they could have been used to identify members of the wedding party, but again, I don't think this is the case.

In the NTO, impressions of JY's feet were taken and it was listed "for comparison purposes". I don't think they would be interested in his shoe size if the prints in the house were from MF.

I knew about the feet in the NTO thing. It's too much to hope for that he left a print in blood. I didn't remember the photos but now that you mention it, that is odd.

I was going to post this a while back when it was on topic. My hubby was married before and when he first found out that wife had cheated on him...guess what was the first thing he did??? Yep, he went for the wedding photos on the wall and on the desk. He said he broke the glass and actually tore up the picture then threw it on the floor. Now, Hubby is not violent......but they had been married for less than 6 months when he starting finding out alot of ugly things about first wife.....
So I was wondering.....if MY found out that night about MM and JY.....did she pull the wedding photos down, smash the glass, tear them up, throw them in the garbage? Or is it an opinion that JY himself did something to the photos? I've always thought it was MY that tore up the photos after she found out about the affair with MM...so then the photos were lying on the floor of the bedroom when she was murdered and so they had blood spatter, etc. on the glass/photos.

One of the news articles stated (paraphrasing of course and too lazy to go back and look) that one of the investigators spoke with JY breifly on the phone and offered his condolences. Then proceeded to ask a couple of questions and was refered to his cousel. I would tend to beleive that JY talked to them on the way back to Raleigh.

LOL, I truly think the vm from Jason to Meredith was the first any of them knew about his side trip to Brevard that day with intentions of spending the night. Yet Le finds out these out of towners weren't told by Jason of his new plans. It's also been stated the friends at MF's that night were the couple from Charlotte. With most of these friend stories and sources some things are safe to assume about the who but I won't say fact of how credible it may be simply because I don't always remember where that info came from.

She said she didn't know Michelle or Jason, only one of the people who was half of the couple coming from Charlotte.

Hi Liveoutloud, good to see you here. I read you talking about their guests that drove in for Fri night. There were two couples as I remember.

The first was MM and Steve from Fl who were suppose to come. But they called and cancelled at the last minute I believe as their little boy was sick.

The other couple were from Charlotte, and we have speculated this was the couple who decided to come even though they learned Michelle had been murdered, and the ones who talked to LE.

Hope that's right!

ETA: Oh I forgot, Rhett was primarily Michelle's friend.

In the report early on in this case I assumed it was Meredith that called but even if it was Meredith that gave LE Jason's parents number that report did state they called there as an only way of reaching him at that time. The jist of it not exact words. That tells me two things;Meredith knew he was expected there so how? VM I think. They tried his cell phone and got no answer.

ETA: We didn't originally know his contact was a vm, it was reported as a call from Jason to Meredith.

You are correct but I think the time Jason actually talked to them was shortly after he arrived in Brevard and that jives with what I posted the Sheriff said. The call while on the way to Brevard was supposed to have been to him from LE to make sure he was on his way. His mother answered and said Jason couldn't speak and someone said something about him crying in a towel I think? Too emotional to speak to them or whatever and LE was supposed to have told Mrs. Young that she better have Jason with her. Of course there's more blah, blah, blah. I'll shut up now I think, you get the idea. :crazy: I know you don't read there much.

Sosads post? You can do a search on ctv for her posts and to make it even shorter I can tell you it was her first post and then within that same day and next two and three days of posting she gave what info she did know which is what I already said. She didn't know who called them other than someone from Raleigh. I hope hers are still there. I'm sure we discussed it here but I don't remember the time frame.

MF probably wasn't friends with that couple but as someone here suggested maybe she took them in so to speak or if they knew that's where Jason would be coming on arrival she said they could wait there.

I don't believe very many of their friends even know Meredith and have said so or only know of her. Many that speak badly of her didn't know anyone in this case just like me and you.

If the story about the WCSD calling Jason while he was on the way back to Raleigh is true and he didn't talk to them, it helps to confirm in my mind that he had already talked to an Attorney.

I just can't imagine any other reason not to speak to LE at that time. He should have had dozens of questions.

I thought the condolences were offered at the funeral. I seem to remember a detective saying that and he wanted to set up a time afterwards or something to speak to JY.
