okay, now we're getting somewhere.
you are angry that jay screwed up his "perfect murder."

jay's not the moral mountain boy you knew him to be when he was little and he's not the brillliant high-tech salesman you know now.

he was dumb and made mistakes and killed his wife and unborn baby.

"Heirloom" jewelry? I don't know what that is, and I don't know how it came to be applied to this jewelry. Family members saw the chest with missing drawers and said, "I'll bet jewelry is missing". That's not hard.

--Jake

What? Did I spell it wrong? Sorry if I did.
Or are you saying that's not the type of jewelry that is supposedly missing? That's how some has described it.

yes, it helps to understand if there is animosity toward LE coming from
jay's family and how it originated or colors their feelings about jay cooperating with the lawmen.

imo

I think it was Jason's friends who convinced him he needed a lawyer. His lawyer told him to keep quiet. No animosity from the lawyer, just common sense and legal training.

Go back and read the posts. I'm not the one who accused Mrs. Fisher of stealing the jewelry. I write enough stupid posts of my own: I don't need you trying to pin others on me.

OOPS,

You could be right!

Jason saved money by NOT taking ALL his friends to California.

(while his wife and child were left behind) ((sigh))

i think that he might have made some new friends while he was there or hooked up with some old friends.

maybe he wanted to bring more of his posse with him but the flight was overbooked.

That's it? That's all there is to this jewelry mystery?
They saw drawers missing, say 'Hey Jason, did she have jewelry in 2 drawers..." and he says, "yes." If that's all there is to this story, then if it were my family, I'd drop it for now.

if they aren't talking to investigators, then they must be making assumptions.
why not pick up the phone and ask if the investigators have possession of it or where it is?

oh, they can't do that. it would spoil their "story" about the fishers taking it.
and they don't want to provide a list of the pieces.
and they are afraid that investigators might ask them to tell jay to come in for a talk (and bring RS with him).

can't risk that.

imo

Once again, you need to research and see who it is who accused the Fishers of stealing the jewelry. It wasn't Jason's family or I.

hold your horses, jake.
i said "animosity" in terms of coming from the young family (especially stepdad) toward LE.

i did not use that term when speaking of jay's lawyer.

jake, jake.
what do you think you've just been doing for the last 3 pages?

that jewelry is not missing. it's not stolen. LE knows where it is currently located.

Jake I know that for me his comments set a negative tone right off the bat coming from the husbands side of the family. Especially when the husband has to be ruled out first in a spousal murder. Actually it sounded almost defensive to me, as in a good reason to not talk to LE.

And the point is, we know next to nothing at that point about the case when we heard this statement, making it stand out bigtime.

Scandi

I think I can understand your feelings. But after finding out more about the case, you might look back and say his step-father was pretty smart.

I'm wondering if LE gave the Fishers a go ahead to take the jewelry since it was Michelle's personal property before she met Jason. Makes sense to me, as sitting in a drawer it wouldn't really have any evidenciary value, right?

Well, I wouldn't think the police would urge someone to steal.

great list, Raisincharlie.

i didn't know the lights were on before the murder, i thought the lights were on AFTER the murder. i would like to know if the neighbors meant they saw that the interior lights were left on all night or did they mean just the porch lights?

What if you wanted to make it look like your sister-in-law did it?

I certainly wouldn't call her to go and find the body. But I really don't know how to frame someone.

BK Boy --- jake, what does it mean?

Jake, do you know why jtf's posts were removed over yonder? Interesting timing.

Interesting!

Maybe, maybe not.

Jason's step-father May very well have played the odds. To keep Jason alive.

Question is, did he factor in your running commentary?

Don't get your back up, it's just a question. Why can't Jason say anything, yet you can't stop talking?

Serious question.

It was the exterior coach lights along the front part of the house. A neighbor (Martin) reported the lights having been left on. Thinking about it, it was just a few nights after Halloween, could be why.

Ahhh, you may not see the interest, and that's fine...but I have years of experience in dealing with victims and families in dire situations, and their behaviors are of great interest to me. Family dynamics can be very telling at times.

And on a serious note, I also worry about you. I mean that.

I'm not convinced you're on the up and up of who you are and your role in this; but IF you are - and IF Jason is guilty, then I will feel for you and don't wish you the pain you will go through. And, I have a big caring heart for the family members of subjects who commit crimes or cause the death of someone else, even accidently. Most of the time, they are not responsible for their adult children or sibling that commits such a crime, and yet they are dragged into chaos that they didn't control. Yet, they can do things to make things better or worse for the other involved families. You know, that do unto others creed. If you are a family member, I will send my best wishes to you IF indeed Jay is arrested and then charged with this crime.

DD

Thank you. I am sure that is heart-felt. Although I feel like one, I am not a family member--just close friend. I know what you mean about adult children causing pain to their parents. I really think that is not the case here.

Good thing I copied many of JTF and gojo's posts before they went 'poof".
If MF immediately stated the drawers were missing as Kim says, JY took them to make it look like a theft. LE knew better than to advance the guise of a burglary / murder. Poor Meredith apparently fell for his trick early on, to the delight of JTF and Jake.

"When LE questions friends they ask for jewelry descriptions and about MY's jewelry. Several family members and friends have been to the home and from all reports I have heard, there is no valuable jewelry left in the house. MF talked about jewelry box drawers missing from day one. So, given LE asking about jewelry and none seemingly found in the house, I guess we're all assuming it was all stolen. If LE had it and was holding it, I don't think they'd be asking for descriptions."....JTF
