E-mail from the reporter to me today (response to a question I had on status)

So....that attorney could be doing nothing or doing an investigation of his own. lol Just made me think of that discussion about what his attorney has available to him at this time.

I think one of Ed's contacts is with Tharrington Smith

I never figured out what got dkjack banned over there either. Perhaps Jake can enlighten me.

I was hoping that ncmywatcher showing up over there signified that something was about to break in the case. I thought ncmywatcher=just the facts, and she always seemed to show up when something significant was coming out. Guess I shouldn't get my hopes up.

Wish I could. I've emailed CW and am waiting for enlightenment. But heck, this is a much better board anyway. Friendly.

By the way, I think JTF is not posting. That's what I've heard. But go ahead and get your hopes up. Mine are up, too, for an arrest soon.

Sure would like to know where the jewelry is. I never saw the post myself, but I remember someone on one of the boards talking about a rumor that Linda has the jewelry. Sure hope so, for that would mean Cassie would eventually get it. Can anyone direct me to that post?

On the other hand, I believe the killer took the jewelry and it may never be seen again.

Hi Jake,

Actually I am glad that you mentioned that. Given Jason's penchant for swallowing "jewelry".

Jake, do you happen to know if Brevard is on a municipal sewer system, or do we need to get a SW for his parents', sister's and YOUR septic tank?

TIA

if you mistrust LE and want to avoid getting on their bad side, i would recommend NOT embezzling from your employer or killing your wife and unborn child.

if linda has the jewelry, then it is safe. she'll give it to Cassidy when she is old enough to know its significance.

if jay were to get his hands on it, it would be sold to pay for his defense.

the person who said that the inherited jewelry was "valuable" was JTF.
it could turn out that the TRUE value of the inherited jewelry is sentimental and not monetary.

You need a SW.

Assuming Jason needs to pay for his defense.

small claims or petty larceny vs. grand larceny.

i do not believe that the inherited jewelry is missing or stolen.

and if any trumped-up charges are filed, a jury would vote "jury nulification"
and make sure that jay does NOT get his hands on michelle's jewelry and award them to someone who will hold on to them for Cassidy.

I'm lost...who allegedly embezzled from their employer? JY?
I'm confused on that comment.

According to JTF, the missing jewelry was already gone when Meredith found Michelle's body. Also, JTF posted that investigators were asking everyone (friends/family) for descriptions of Michelle's jewelry from the beginning. So, contrary to Mimi's stalwart belief, Linda could not have taken the jewelry after the house was released by LE. IMO, the killer took the jewelry.

Good point.

And...why doesn't JY or his family just ask Linda??? :)
Or, maybe Jason isn't all that worried about the jewelry? I bet he's got much bigger concerns right now.

Jake,

Who's so worried about this jewelry? Jason? His family? You?
And why? Because of the value, or because they're trying to fit this into their theory of an intruder that murdered Michelle?

jay isn't paying for his defense; his parents are.
and they have a LOT to lose --- eveything that they worked for their whole lives.

he's guilty. his defense will be costly.

jay should end this whole charade.
he did it.
he needs to admit to it and take his punishment LIKE A MAN.
