lots of red herrings.

what else do they have?

jay did it and they must know that in their hearts.

imo

I don't really understand about "lots" of red herrings. But I do know my heart. Investigate yours.

if jay's 2 houses (Birchleaf and the condo) are mortgaged to the hilt, guess who gets stuck with paying RSmith's gigantic bill?

that's right --- mrs young, stepdad and jay's siblings.

gojo said he'd mortgage his house, right? i find that a hollow gesture.
unless he is related to jay by blood or marriage, he's not going to go broke defending jay (unless he can swing it on the backend of a book deal).

imo

Ah, so you really don't believe in the power of friendship. So sad. But it's a hollow gesture only to the extend I believe it will not come to that.

Saint,

I sadly agree with you. Scott Peterson had NO PROBLEM watching his parents systematically selling off near-'bout everything. Granted, they did it willingly.

I do not believe that Jason has the RIGHT to deprive his Mom and Step-Dad of a house in their declining years. BUT, as surely as I am typing this, that WILL happen.

5bigfish5

Wonder if it will ever bother him?

You're comparing SP with JY? I understand. You don't know any better.

Hi Niner! I've read Dep's & Scout's replies.

It was my understanding that she was Cassidy's nanny and lived with them in their townhouse. I mentioned this about the jewellry because I just assumed that she would know what Michelle had since she had lived with them.

I could very well be wrong though!

I think you're probably right. I doubt that Jason could describe the jewelry, but I'll bet Meredith can. She may have already done so for LE.

Rest assured they know it!

They knew it from the first time he fell "plumb" to his knees and they encouraged him to lawer up. They didn't want to admit it, but they knew. Their whole world came crashing down. But they knew within minuites and they know it now.

Acceptance and diversion is a whole different deal.

Not an enviable position.

I agree, Jason took the jewelry to make this murder look like a break in gone bad. But as we know - he failed to make it look convincing.

And absolute understatement there. Really, you would think someone with a college degree could do a better job of planning and carrying out the murder of his wife. He didn't even try to show that someone had broken into the house.

the ex-wife of jay's stepdad, spent a few years in prison for embezzling from her employer. it's a fact. her name is in the system.

imo

Oh, okay. Yes, I recall reading that. Thanks.

How much did she embezzle? No wonder step-dad isn't a fan of LE, as it appears....

Glad you are finaly coming around Jake. I'm not sure he planned it to any great extent however. Not at all sure a college degree matters either, obviously not all that bright to commit murder.

--Jake

Absolutely!

Cut from the same cloth.

SP drained his parents, no wait, they KNEW but they did it anyway, no wait, Jason's parents do TOO!

IF they want to live in a cardboard hovel for the remainder of their lives...so be it. I heard that you are willing to join them in this endeavor.

I wish you mild weather and better choices on your next bet.

Rest assured we do not know it. I respect your opinion, but I really think you do not know the beliefs of family and friends.

Police officers, maybe? If the killer took the jewelry, LE is concerned.

--jake

Let's start back with the basics.

Who realized jewelry was missing?

When did they realize it was missing?

Who is saying that it is missing: Jason, his parents/siblings, and/or Linda & Meredith?

Do you want to explain to all of us why you are dragging this lady's prior misdeed onto this message board?

I do see the light occasionally. Obviously you don't know Jason. He is certainly bright enough to plan better than this killer did.

Jake,

Time will tell. In the interim, I wish you a clear conscious and peaceful sleep.

I don't need an explanation - it explains some of the attitude behind Mr. McIntyre's initial statements about LE and it is a fact, unlike many of the absurd and deviant things a certain poster has said and invented in stories and attempted to imply about the Fishers or the accusations made against them.

--Jake

Nope, not really.

You're right, she's not a party to this horrific murder. But I am interested in why his step-father acted as described that evening. His experiences with LE might have contributed to his behaviors, and yes, I'm far more interested in those.

So, I should wish for global warming? I think not. No arrest, no charge, no defense attorney, no money.

Who? police officers.

When? When they saw the missing jewelry box drawers.

Police officers said nothing was missing, I think. I can't link.

Jayson and his family say jewelry is missing.

I just about fell plumb to my knees reading that.

Well, then. From now on, LE can summarily dismiss all college grads from being suspects in murder, as they're just better at planning such crimes. Woo hoo, that'll save tax payers and DA's from spending unnecessary funds.

You do recall how brilliant Professor Robb was - right ? He really had LE fooled - not. And to think, he was responsible for teaching those college grads...
