To see what LE is doing?

--Jake

I'm guessing that LE is gathering evidence and that the evidence is pointing to a guilty husband. I don't think that N&O knows anything different.

I take it you weren't satisfied with my interpretation and critique of that N&O report. It's my opinion that the reporter mistook the order of injuries as described in the ME's summary as the order in which they were inflicted. I think we won't know the order of infliction until the ME testifies in court.

So you're the one who led me to that question!? I just wanted you to take your excellent critique a step further and question the reporter about his reporting. Maybe he knows something we don't.

Edited to add: I believe the attempted strangulation occurred prior to the beating, but that's just my unlearned opinion.

True. But I would like to see the N&O reporters become INVESTIGATIVE reporters.

How is Jason doing?

Jason is doing fine. I think he is doing great being both a mama and a daddy to Cassie.

I don't agree. I think Michelle was standing, facing her killer when he delivered the first blow. I think the strangling came later.

I seriously doubt it, Jake. It's been my experience that we who spend so much time researching and discussing are far more knowledgeable about the facts of the particular case that holds our interest than are 99% of the reporters who cover it. Don't even get me started on the ignorance of the talking heads.

I assume Cassidy is doing well then?

Cassie is doing well, staying healthy. She is an extremely bright child.

We have only one story to cover, while reporters have dozens. About those talking heads.... no excuses.

I'm sorry, Jake, but that's offensive and disrespectful to Michelle's memory. Jason can be Cassidy's daddy, but he can never be her mommy no matter how hard he tries. He should do all he can to sustain and keep vibrant Cassidy's memory of Michelle. As Cassidy progresses through life, the image of her mother and the memories that she retains will become more and more cherished by her.

Is Jason nervous at all? I mean, if you are trying to find out what LE is up to, he must be kind of worried.

I am amazed by a story in the local paper. A man was charged and found guilty of indecent liberties with a child. The 3-4 year old girl was put on the stand to testify against him.

I just can't imagine the prosecutor putting Cassie on the stand and made to remember whatever she witnessed.

Ordinarily I would agree with you about keeping those memories alive. But in this situation, we will have to be guided by Cassie about what memories she keeps.

Wouldn't they just do something like "play therapy" and tape it? What makes you think Cassie would have to be on the stand?

I have not noticed Jason being nervous. I'm curious about what LE is up to. I wish I could help LE find the killer. I want the killer arrested, tried, and executed.

As I said, I can't imagine Cassie or any other 3-year-old child on the stand.

We all do Jake. Doesn't Jason have ANY clue who may have done this to his pregnant wife in the presence of his daughter?

Up to now, I haven't asked that question. I have heard second hand that he has no clue, no idea, about the killer. Maybe I'll ask him directly.
