Funny Charlie!

It just worked out good on paper. LOL If I were going to dump a bag in a dumpster, I would pick a place where a lot of garbage is dumped, like a convenience store or hotel. A dumpster in a remote place isn't going to get as much biz, hence less garbage, and if there was blood on the outside of the bag there is a chance it could be noticed.

I think the best way to dump something like this though would be to weight it and sink it in water. I just can't see him driving far with bloody things in the back seat. and esp leaving it in the car overnight.

What if he discovered it was leaking - like the bag got snagged on the door of his car or something heavy inside of it poked a hole where drips could come out.

I bet he could smell the blood in the car, and maybe he got a bit panicky. I would have wanted a drink real bad after all that! :innocent:

WTVD's reporter at Six, was flashing aroung a different SUV SW list than what we just saw today. Either that, or I am really going nutz.

#1 on his list was the lap top.

#2 was a receipt from "Precision Tune".

Too bad I don't have Tivo, I could read the whole list.
Precision Tune - possible mileage issue on the SUV - oil change or something similar - excellent news if so ! This was WTVD - if so they will maybe link the story later, or I should say they usually do !

Scandi,

Someone else brought this up a while back - how far would a murderer be willing to drive with evidence in the vehicle. It is an interesting question but I suspect Han-Dee Hugo's 89 had their trash searched for sure. JMO

New Link ABC -11

http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=triangle&id=4909151

This link has a link to the warrant and the last page which includes the lap top, the precision tune work order and assorted papers.

Precision tune - the work order is for 14 July - should have the mileage recorded for the vehicle - a starting point for comparison to expense reports IMO.

From your link Charlie is a statement from Harrison I've not heard before:

" . . .Still Sheriff Harrison says Jason Young is a part but not the focus of the investigation. A puzzle he believes the public can help to solve".

That's a big turnaround for the Sheriff, don't you think?

Scandi,

I think that article is a cut and paste type right from the begining it goes backwards- I do recall Sheriff Harrison saying that a long time ago but the last quote I recall hearing from the sheriff was in response to WRAL asking if JY was a suspect "I would be lying if I said no". I'll look for the link on that.

Yea Close, but it would draw attention, and we know the murder weapon wouldn't burn.

I can't figure out why he would drive a distance if he planned to go back and kill her.

I wonder if one of those 3 Hampton Inn Hotels in Raleigh was about a half a mile from his house?

Here you go Scandi

"Investigators have been tight-lipped about the direction they are taking with the case. Although they have not named any suspects, Harrison confirmed Thursday that the alleged relationship has put more focus on Jason Young as a suspect.

"If I said no, I probably would be telling a lie,"
Harrison said, refusing to speak further about the relationship. "We look at anything like that. I'm not saying it had anything to do with the murder, but we're looking into it."

Yes, I understand what you're saying, but I'd be afraid that the "evidence" would get on the interior of the car which would defeat the purpose. ;)
I agree it would defeat the purpose but if wrapped in plastic bags - low risk IMO.

good question Scandi....didn't we hear of some rumor that he MIGHT have stayed like EXTREMELY close to the house??...he'd be a nut to do that...i'd be very surprised if he actually checked into a Hampton, down the street from the house, wouldn't you???
