Yep, I would be surprised. Just trying to think of anything that might click. I don't think he expected LE to take his car that quickly, do you? If he suspected it would be snagged like that he would have taken the lap-top, knife, meds and receipts out before he headed back to Raleigh.

Did they take two cars back to Raleigh? That's what I thought. Just wondering why LE didn't mention any luggage when the step father was upset because theirs was taken from the car. What I'm really wondering now if any of that luggage was JY's. If it was all his parents, maybe LE gave it back to them, although you think it would be receipted for. Maybe it wasn't on the warrant because they knew it didn't belong to JY. That means JY would have unloaded what he had packed {acc to Fussell} at the P's home before heading back to Raleigh.

Studying more on locations:

Jy leaves home 8:30, fills up SUV drives 84 miles to Danville VA - arrives approxiately 10:30 to 11 pm - calls wife at 11 pm.

Fight insues - JY leaves hotel in Danville - drives 84 niles to Raleigh (total 169 miles) arrive approxiately 0130 on 3 Nov. Fights with wife, murders her, cleans up and leaves to return to Danville 84 miles (total 253 miles) arrives approximately 0530 to 0600.

Sleeps or whatever for two hours - checks out and drives to Blacksburg VA from Danville 91 miles (total 344 miles) arrives 0930-1000. Attends meeting and leaves fro Brevard. Stops for gas in Duffield 30 miles (total 374 miles) approximately noon.

Fills up and drives to Brevard approximately 140 miles, arrives approximately 3 pm. Returns to Raleigh, 282 miles.

Explorer - approximately 420 miles / 21 gallon tank - could be a cash purchase of gas in Brevard before returning.

Holy cow - do some of these times add up or is it my imagination?
Wow! Impressive as usual, charlie! And yes, it does seem to all add up; not just the times and mileage, but the argument on the phone at 11:00pm. :)

The laptop computer is one of the first things I'd think he'd remove from the car, along with the meds. I think he was caught a little off-guard on that also.

ok, someone please help me out here:)

the SW was issued at 3:15 AM on November 4th....looks like it was "executed at 4:00 AM????...am i reading that right??

if this is the case then why go & take it at such an odd hour??...unless JY didn't get back to Brevard till WAY after 3 pm on the 3rd.....not sure why i assumed this, but i thought it had been mentioned that JY & his family, upon JY's arrival, left immediately for Raleigh.....

course i'm seeing 'this' like the Youngs all pile in the vehicle/vehicles & head immediately to Raleigh to get Cassidy.....do yall think that maybe the Young family stayed overnite on the 3rd with Meredith????

am i making ANY sense here?

eta....ok if medication was left in the SUV, sounds like someone hadn't completely unpacked...something is fishy about this, imo......IF the SUV was seized in the VERY early morning hours of the 4th.....

i'm confused...

Gosh Close, You got the ole brain clicking for sure! ;)

No, I don't think the step father and the rest of his family would stay there as there wouldn't be room for them all. They had time to check into a residence type inn, which is where I heard they stayed at that time. You would think they would have taken all their luggage out of JY's car though, before JY headed for Merediths house. That would mean JY stayed with M and Cassidy on the 4th. He was probably sound asleep when they took his car.

Think there could be anything between them? Don't hit me! :D Several times LE has referred to the plural as to the perp, and we always thought that was to cover their back in case there was more than one involved and to be on record, so no one could ever say they singled in on only one person in a rush to judgement. Maybe there was some tie between them, although I doubt it was sexual as I've read she wasn't his type.

The only odd thing about that is I read from a friend at CTV that Meredith and her mother both thought JY killed Michelle. I do think maybe she knows more than we have learned!

Charlie, I think your post is brilliant! LOL Fits perdanear perfect!

Question: Do you think he got rid of the accoutrements right away or waited to dump it way out in the country? Do you think he would put it in a dumpster or in a rural setting or a body of water? The reason I ask is that other route straight up from Raleigh to Boynton where the lake is, is that much out of the way to get to Danville?

Keep in mind it takes time for things to happen - such as writing up a warrant and then hunting down a Judge to review it and sign it.

Please note the warrant was served at Meredith's house where the SUV was detained - this tells me MF and Cassidy were there, most likely with LE representatives when JY arrived at that location. I seriously doubt that they arrived before 9 or 10 pm at the very earliest. JMO they would have needed time to pack and such. I think some of that crew might have needed to stop along the way or to grab food - it is approximately a five hour drive.

You will note that the warrant for Birchleaf was issued aproximately 2 hours after MY was found - that was during the day and during working hours so I don't see the timing of this as being unusual or fishy by any means. Things just take time - especially after hours on a Friday nite - JMO.

screeeeching halt ...LOL...

ok, LE saw the suspicious looking spots on the vehicle before they got the SW, soooooooo, since they didn't get the SW till 3:15 am on the 4th, i guess it's safe to say that LE noticed these spots on the vehicle late night on the 3rd???.....ugh, i'm trying to get the timing down...

i know SW's can be issued at any time, but why at 3:15 in the morning....this makes me really wonder ..again...what time JY returned to Brevard from his 'meeting'......

i would NEVER hit you Scandi :blowkiss:

Looking at the maps Scandi - if one took 501 north from Raleigh - once they crossed the state line into VA - Boydton is as far east as Danville is to the west.

Let me ask you this - if JY was going to weight down the evidence and throw it in a Lake - why wouldn't he just through it in Lake Wheeler - which is just 2 or 3 miles from the home ? Large Lake - close, weighted down - might not be found unless some fisherman snags it - just a thought.

maybe because Lake Wheeler was just a little TOO close to home?

For a guy with alead foot and speeding tickets, lakes in VA seem a bit TOO far to be carrying bloody clothes around especially in the middle of the night...JMO.

good point.....

i just don't think he dumped any clothing close to home..IF he dumped any, i think he did it in VA somewhere...hmmm, no way to know unless they find bloody clothing though, & i have to assume they haven't found any....

I think he would've disposed of any evidence as close to home as possible, for the reason you stated above and also to not risk having anything found "along his route" but rather if he disposed of the weapon close to home it could imply that someone else committed the crime. A dumpster behind a business would probably be emptied on Friday.

I don't think that LE has found any bloody clothing either to be honest with you. But it would not surprise me if they found clothes in either the washer or dryer in the home. For some reason it seems idiot wife murderers suddenly take a notion to do laundry...:p

Yes, that is what I wanted to hear. I don't think he would want to keep driving with all that evidence in his car, especially if he kept replaying the murder over and over in his head like anyone would have done if they had just killed their pregnant wife. He'd have to be a bit spooked, don't you think?

He would know the lake real well I think, know where he could drive to a point from where he could toss that bag as far as he could throw it. I know every lake I have lived close to, or river, I could think of a place just like that to access at any time of the day.

I wonder what LE thinks about where he dumped the stuff. Now they might have the murder weapon, as that probable cause for things taken out of the home could maybe be interpreted that way. They could have spotted something with hair and blood on it and wanted it forensicly examined. The lamp I think, since they mentioned it had blood spatter on it. And there was blood spatter on 'walls'. not just one wall.

I think JY may have known Lake Wheeler quite well - there was one photograph of him, MY, and Cassidy out on a boat...can't remember if that was from a news report or from the website however.

yep...but actually it would kinda surprise me...i guess i think EVERYONE in the world was keeping up with the Peterson (west) case, & idiot wife murderers would learn from that one.....gosh, when do you think the autopsy results might be released??...any guess?
