I watched the video, it's still hard for me to believe that Misty is guilty she just does not seem very smart. She comes across very genuine answering the questions. I have a very smart 17 YO and I just could not see her being smart enough to pull something like this off, let alone be able to be questioned without cracking. She cried when she got a speeding ticket. I think Misty has told what she knows. I just feel like we are back to square one and we still don't know what happend to Haleigh. I actually feel kind of sad for her, sounds like she had a pretty crappy life and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. IMO
Yes, so would my daughter cry in that case, but what we must remember is that what we see as normal or expected in our daughters does not in any way apply to Misty. I'm also guessing that your 17 yo daughter didn't move in with a 25 yo man last year, and that she is not off on any 3 day drug binges which include intimate relationships with other known "drug user/dealers". I am guessing that she also did not leave her family home at age 13 by choice or otherwise, and that she continued in school beyond 7th grade. Misty is not unintelligent---she is uneducated! Street smarts can teach you exactly what to do and how to act when you get involved in a mess like this. I think she is being manipulated to protect others, and she is just needy enough to have listened--so far. I am hoping her street education tells her its time to CYA and look out for yourself first. IT"S TIME TO TALK!
