The full report of the ME is pending but the ME has made the following preliminary findings. The autopsy revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. Mr. Floyd had underlying health conditions including coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease. The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by teh polise, his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death.

I think this is the meat, “combined effects”, meaning it was a “substantial causal factor”, imo.

Again, I haven’t seen the testimony referenced yet, but just because someone says the sky is green, doesn’t make it true, . Respect, just sayin ftr. Jmo moo. I’ll take a look and give you my honest opinion without bias.

Eta: Re: “without bias”, it is my opinion up to this point that his knee is on his neck, and it would take some serious factual depiction to convince me otherwise.

BBM I can honestly say that until yesterday I believed that as well. That his knee was on his neck. I thought the defense was going to be 'it was allowed under the circumstances' And even after yesterdays 1 photo, I was thinking like most here, that he had just moved for paramedics, but I couldn't even find that in the video's I watched. Now with 4 more time stamps with a prosecution witness agreeing that Chauvin's knee/shin appear to be across his shoulders. AND I would be willing to not believe that; however, the prosecution didn't really seem to dispute those photo's, and didn't show the same witness video of Chauvin shifting/moving/adjusting, I am left with believing they can't dispute it.

Those photos shredded knee to neck

How do we know those screenshots don't represent 2 or 3 seconds each? Whether it was eight or nine minutes doesn't make much of a difference to me. The autopsy findings implicate neck compression as a causal factor in his death so I would hope the jury considers that more relevant than a few still shots.

- Discussion of "holds" is at 40:00
- Discussion of position of knee vs carotid artery at 49:00
-Introduction of body cam stills from about 49:50.
-Lt states that he agrees that the knee is across the shoulder blades at 56:00

No idea as to why they didn't. I'm a photographer and understand how a view can not represent what is actually happening in a picture. A lower angle will show something completely different than a higher lever or different view.

I find it odd that MPD policy dictates the requirement of administering medical aid when necessary, but does not mandate regular CPR recertification beyond their initial POST exams.

So jurors are losing interest it sounds like, based on the pool reporters observations. I know I am. I know both sides have to be thorough but I also feel like this case is being drawn out due to the intense public focus/subject matter. State especially is uncovering every stone methodically.

They really should speed up this testimony. I don't know how... but they should try lol
