Enlarging that bottom right image with a knee on the shoulder, IMO that does not look like Derek Chauvin.

If you look closely, the image shows another officer's feet (presumably Chauvin?) where GF's head is.
I studied that photo for some time thinking Yes, "That is an odd photo". I'd like to see something more substantial and corroborative to confirm the knee on shoulder theory.

We are back to the angry mob being the problem.

I'm can't help but wonder... why if the "mob" was so bad, that they could not perform any lifesaving procedures on GF. Why, why why, didn't they call for backup? Thao was just standing around with hands in pocket, never had to draw his gun, never had to take cover, never call the other officers to help control the angry "mob"... WHY?

This is a good point, Imo - If there was an out of control mob they would’ve called in for crowd control backup.

This defense has been less than stellar today IMO. He seems disorganized and just not sharp on redirect.

I do feel bad for him tbh. This is a big case for just one lawyer to defend. Not only time on stand, but time spent in prep. 1 lawyer against three state prosecutors.

If I remember correctly, I read the state has over 10 lawyers working on this case.

ETA: While DC‘s attorney, Eric Nelson, works alone, the prosecution is being handled by two assistant attorneys general, Matthew Frank and Erin Eldridge, and two outside lawyers, Jerry Blackwell and Steve Schleicher. Ten more are working behind the scenes, many for free.

Meet the many prosecutors in the Derek Chauvin case

Do you have an opinion of why the prosecution didn't address that with the witness then?
I think it could be one of two things. They can’t dispute it or they’re incompetent. I’m more inclined to believe that they can’t dispute it. IMO MOO

Ah yes I was imagine there would be a lot more behind the scenes but I hadn't read that thanks. I'm sure defense has some extra people too but to have no one sharing the stand must be hard! Just mentally very tiring for him I would imagine.

Blistering Cross - defense scored lots of points today - a shockingly good day

If that was said about the state, I missed it (totally possible). But, I do remember reading about the extensive defense team.

Derek Chauvin trial: Police fund aids defense lawyer Eric Nelson
The group, Minnesota's largest federation of officers and unions, is paying for up to a dozen other attorneys working the case behind the scenes, according to MPPOA Executive Director Brian Peters. Nelson has assistance and lots of cash to spend on a trial that is likely to run at least a month, Peters said.

In regards to the load and go and reasons why it would be done...

She just said, if you have an angry or volatile crowd, and it may sound unreasonable.. but...

she also said it’s easy to miss signs or become distracted as a hostile crowd can attack - basically everything can go sideways in a second!
Chauvin was hyper focused on restraining Floyd and watching the crowd while awaiting paramedics - Seems REASONABLE to me.

Does anyone know if Minneapolis Police Inspector Katie Blackwell, (witness yesterday) is related to Jerry Blackwell, (prosecuting lawyer)?

I'm guessing NO, but???

Sounds like this witness will be back for the defense, State objected to the excited dilerium testimony (not as a whole) but requires them to bring her back.

On the bright side... he just said Tuesday 9am (would be for her to come back) which means we will be on to the defense by then!

He said “not that I know of”

NOT related. I can't remember when it was said (maybe opening statements?), but I recall the prosecutor saying it.

Prosecution big score today... Pulse was checked by Lane. No pulse found. No CPR started.

Chauvin's hands were in his pockets for a time also.

I don't understand how one unconscious, handcuffed man is deemed to be more threatening than the 'hostile' crowd, then... Three officers restraining Floyd while only one focused on the bystanders is what seems unreasonable to me. And that was the officers' decision. That's contradictory to what Defense is presenting as their evidence. JMO

That photo, I just took a quick snip and pasted it, so the quality may not be that great and I know it's small.

The photo's didn't seem to be disputed by the prosecution, as to who was in it, where they were, or what the witness said he saw in them.
