I'm not sure i'm following this.. Dr Baker put cause of death as compression of neck and manner as homicide but then just said in his opinion Chauvin's knee was mostly on his back?
Don’t worry I’m sure blackwell will address that.

Another witness made it very clear that bruising is not a given..

Yes, I think the main difference between the two autopsies is that the first one doesn't mention "mechanical asphyxiation," but that doesn't necessarily mean it was ruled it out. Imo

Maybe the medical examiner was giving himself "breathing" room, so to speak.

"again I think we covered this" per Dr. Baker...he does not suffer fools.

  • #205
i can see why he wouldn’t want to see the video first.
I can too, but in homicide cases, analyzing the crime scene is usually an important part of the autopsy.

Nelson is annoying me at this point. All this talk of classic strangulation is complete BS. (MOO)

Mr. Floyd didn't die from strangulation. Trying real hard to get Baker to agree that because there wasn't bruising to the back of Floyd's neck that he couldn't have died from the neck compression. Considering tuning him out until state's redirect.

Seriously - now we are into hypothetic tropical disease. GMAB sigh

"Again I don't treat living patients"... haha

I'm losing my respect for Nelson really.

I think dr Baker is getting annoyed. Nelson keeps asking about LIVING PEOPLE, NOT dead people

  • #210
Wow Nelson can't stop asking hypothetical questions because he has NOTHING.

  • #211
Back to the drugs. I’m muting. I can’t.

  • #212
Dr. Baker is solid and not caving to Nelson's questioning.

Dr. Baker is my favorite witness by far. He's very respectful to either side. He simply answers the questions asked.

Nelson does get Baker to agree that the level of fentanyl in Floyd's system may have been fatal if he hadn't been murdered by officer Chauvin first ;)

I can’t wait til Blackwell is able to get back up there.

Boy the jury is going to be left with
He is trying to impeach him!
good luck

Baker was good had he been home alone with doors locked etc. about as good as the prone person in Florida. This needs to stop.
