I'm confused what you're saying. The axon BC "x6039A5be" (the camera that walks with firefighters to check for patient in Cup Foods) corresponds with Thao's body camera number/code.

Thanks! I'll ensure when I do the timeline this weekend that I'll get it right. I did a quick moo typing/taking notes/ etc.... I shouldn't multitask!

But it was reasonable to get that information to him when he was on the phone in the car... he should have "notified him then re neck hold him when he told him about the cuffs... but didn't relay until they were at the hospital.

Anyone else notice this witness keeps cautiously side glancing at Chauvin...
This cannot be easy to testify against your former co-workers but he knows it was wrong

First draft of a book he intends to write perhaps? Or give rights to for $$$? MOO
That’s what I was thinking. Maybe he’ll call it, “If I Did It.” Sorry.

The day is over as far as I’m concerned! The climax was the answer to the last question from Schleicher!!! The state has won the day! I know I’m checked out of this cross and I wonder if some of the jurors are too.

You would have to deal with both simultaneously!!! Thank you. They were not so under threat that they couldn’t perform CPR! No one was shooting at them. Nelson stop!! Come on!

  • #528
oh come on comparing it to a shoot out. The crowd WANTED the officers to preform CPR!!

#DerekChauvinTrial - Paramedic testified that it seemed like Floyd was leaned on his left side when they arrived. Per this clip from Lane's body cam footage, you can see paramedics arrive/gurney. Floyd is on his stomach, not leaned on his left side.

#DerekChauvinTrial - New witness. Derek Smith - Paramedic.
2h
#DerekChauvinTrial - This is paramedic Derek Smith at the top of the photo, he testifies he's about to check for a pulse and has a flashlight to check pupils. Note, Chauvin still kneeling on Floyd

2h
#DerekChauvinTrial - Paramedic Derek Smith testifies that he's the one that took off the handcuffs that were on #GeorgeFloyd. Paramedics carry handcuff keys.

Did Nelson join the Prosecution?
He's making the point that "Chauvin should've stopped when Floyd wasn't resisting" even clearer

Sgt. Ploeger
oh come on comparing it to a shoot out. The crowd WANTED the officers to preform CPR!!

That question was ridiculous.

Is Defense attorney trying to say that Chauvin may have not used the “maximal restraint technique” and also secured his legs to his waist because he was concerned about that delaying care when EMS arrived?
He seemed to be trying hard to get him to say that specific technique/restraint could delay care by EMS and would need to be removed before EMS could begin their work....

Very much feels like Nelson is flogging a dead horse at this point. It's just repeating points that were weak the first time he said them - the more he brings them up the less effect it has IMO.

#DerekChauvinTrial - Next up is Captain Jeremy Norton, Minneapolis Fire Dept.
1h
#DerekChauvinTrial - Sgt. David Pleoger. He was the first supervisor to arrive on the scene around 8:45pm.

1h
#DerekChauvinTrial - Pleoger talking about MPD policy regarding using a hobble device. A supervisor needs to be called to the scene.
41m
#DerekChauvinTrial - Prosecutor Schleicher has referred to Chauvin as "the defendant" at least half a dozen times now. Pretrial agreement was not to refer to Chauvin as defendant and not to refer to Floyd as victim.

38m
#DerekChauvinTrial - In this footage Chauvin walks up to Pleoger's car. Pleoger asks him to get witness statements. Chauvin says "we can try but they're all pretty hostile."

Ya think the jury caught the shooting at them example?

Talk about a desperate stretch.

Why don't the EMT tell Chauvin to get off his neck?

In the first EMT’s testimony (which I’m still watching), Eldridge asks him about a hand gesture he made. He explains it was a gesture “to get the officer to move“, iirc. (I think that was the exact phrasing, or close). A bystander’s video clip (Exhibit 15) is shown and that motion of the hand gesture can very clearly be seen, as the EMT has white gloves on. DC only then takes his knee off GF’s neck. I watched this part in slow motion and took several screenshots of that segment.

The main point of that question about the gesture IMO was to demonstrate that DC was still on his neck and it was the EMT who ultimately had to get him to get off.

Totally! This all seems desperate. He’s avoided the critical answer that was given!
