Cardiac arrhythmia= reasonable doubt. JMO

I think Nelson is muddying the waters about timeline and sequence of events and breathing and hypoxia and the timing of when GF stopped breathing that it may just may confuse as least one juror to think there's reasonable doubt. That's not to say, even if that was the case, that such a juror can't have their opinion changed with others during deliberation.

I'd like to read that but I've entered a state of paralysed catatonia following banana.
Perhaps a murder cookie from Nelson's special murder cookie recipe can revive you?

EN: 66 seconds from his last word to his last breath. This timeline is consistent with a sudden cardiac arrhythmia. It is not consistent with the longer process of brain hypoxia.

Nelson is now going through the medical timeline. When officers called EMS, the arrival, when they leave, etc.

All the state has to prove is that Chauvin played a SIGNIFICANT ROLE in George’s death. That was proven IMO. <modsnip>

EN: What would have happened if EMS had started resuscitative efforts right away…I'm not suggesting to you that the paramedics did anything wrong. But it raises the prospect of that continued delay in resuscitation.

EN: I'm not blaming the paramedics...it shows that human beings make decisions in highly stressful situations that they believe to be right in the very moment it occurred.

Nelson done. Judge wants to discuss something with attorneys.

S bringing up defense stated something incorrect and wants judge to clarify to jury.

Probably nothing as he was already dead and flatlined. JMO.

Counsel made a misstatement

Basically what I heard in the closing of the closing...a lot of spaghetti being thrown at the wall..

Nelson : "I am not blaming the paramedics", but allow me to imply that they failed and GF was not brought back to life by them not administering Narcan.

If that doesn't create reasonable doubt, allow me to mention GF's blood pressure from an unrelated time on a different day because that will give reasonable doubt that perhaps GF's heart spontaneously failed while being kneeled on.

Because of all these other unrelated issues other than my client's knee and body weight on GF, you must find DC innocent.

Snark is all I have left in me at this point.:rolleyes:

request for curative instruction denied. Judge will reread the instruction about disregarding any attorney statement that is contrary to the instructions he has given them.

Wants something done about Nelson's statement that Chauvin thought he was following his training. We can't cross examine him about his training.

State Motions for curative instructions....from online sources "A curative instruction is given to a jury by the judge in a case to negate the prejudicial effect of an erroneous instruction or tainted evidence. "
The State wanted judge to say something like "It is not necessary for the State to prove that the defendant acted unlawfully....."

Judge denies their Motion. State trying to convince judge to change his mind. Judge says "it is a reasonable inference to draw from the evidence that exists".

State gets shot down. Twice.

Cardiac arrhythmia= reasonable doubt. JMO

How many minutes did Derek Chauvin continue to press his knees into George Floyd's neck and back after George had lost consciousness? How many minutes did DC continue to press his knees into George Floyd's neck and back after DC's fellow officers informed him that George had no pulse?

Did Derek Chauvin remove his knees from George Floyd's neck and back after his fellow officers informed him that George had no pulse?

No - he did not. He continued to press his knees into George's neck and back.

This is evidence of a depraved mind.

state also asks the judge to reread the instruction on causation.
