I think Nelson is muddying the waters about timeline and sequence of events and breathing and hypoxia and the timing of when GF stopped breathing that it may just may confuse as least one juror to think there's reasonable doubt. That's not to say, even if that was the case, that such a juror can't have their opinion changed with others during deliberation.

Nelson : "I am not blaming the paramedics", but allow me to imply that they failed and GF was not brought back to life by them not administering Narcan.

If that doesn't create reasonable doubt, allow me to mention GF's blood pressure from an unrelated time on a different day because that will give reasonable doubt that perhaps GF's heart spontaneously failed while being kneeled on.

Because of all these other unrelated issues other than my client's knee and body weight on GF, you must find DC innocent.

The State wanted judge to say something like "It is not necessary for the State to prove that the defendant acted unlawfully....."
