Here's a link to CNN's interview. The issues you mentioned are discussed in this one.

Thank you so much for finding that...too obvious CNN...I think it is the most detailed and longest interview out there...I was beginning to think I was imagining it.

I don't think it has ever been cleared up. There are just varying opinions.

I can see photos where his hand looks like it is in his pocket, and I can see other pics where his hand is outside his pocket. Maybe his hand did not stay in the same place all of the time. It was a long 9+ minutes, and he shuffled around a bit.
I got the impression when listening to her that she was referring to the specific photo of him kneeling on GF's neck with that arrogant look on his face as if to say 'I'll do what I want to do'. And that photo shows that his hand is not in his pocket.

Watching the 20/20 episode now, a friend of GF'S mentions he was "always claustrophobic", that he never ever wanted to fly on planes because of that, he'd prefer busses because you could get off, you could stretch your legs, get a quick break & be back on your way. I never believed he was saying that he was claustrophobic when they tried putting him in the car, but hearing this solidifies my belief even more. I thought Nelson and some of his witnesses tried to express that criminals will say anything to try to get handcuffs loosened up, to sit on the curb and not in the car, etc....but IMO Floyd wasn't saying those things just because he wanted them to leave him outside. He was truly scared. Heartbreaking to hear more of this

20/20 Episode also reminded me of the detail that Chauvin had at least 17 complaints against him in his personnel file, and he also had numerous awards and commendation for his work, some good comments of praise from the public, some Medal of Valor, among others. Two opposite sides of this man.

Me too.
Bigly.
I'm relieved and hopeful now that they are looking at that 2017 case again, but wondering why no action was taken at that time. If it had been, George Floyd might still be alive today.
They are putting the work in.

I have a friend who is a travel writer and has published about ten books. She will not fly because she cannot get out when she becomes overwhelmed. She has created a niche following by people who do not want to fly.
She goes by cargo ship or any means that allows her to move, without flying.

I think this is the latest, but I'm not definite it hasn't changed since:

a. The trial in State v. Chauvin shall take place as previously scheduled on March 8, 2021. The Court’s November 4, 2020 Order joining all defendants for trial is amended to sever Defendant Chauvin’s case.

b. The other defendants remain joined for trial which is hereby continued to August 23, 2021, at 9:00 a.m.

BBM. From here:

Minnesota Judicial Branch - 27-CR-20-12953: State vs. J Alexander Kueng

Thanks - I have their trial date, just was wondering IF they might now have a hearing before trial now that Chauvin's case is (sort of) done.

There were many sides to the life of George Floyd...many not great...but he never deserved what happened on May 25th...there is so much buzz about change etc. but I wonder what will really happen.

Some things are happening.
His old cases are being reviewed, 2017 already went to a GJ.
Court witnesses for his defense are being investigated for any role they played in prior deaths in custody.
But, Kim Potter's service record have not yet been produced despite several FOI's from MSM.
Only a single clip of bodycam footage from Daunte wright's death has yet been made public.
Transparency in some states, not in others.
I hear you.

yes I do feel in terms of police being able to act with impunity in the future...this case set the standard...what I am more concerned about at least here in Minneapolis is at least for some criminal mindsets they now feel rather empowered...for example no one is really being prosecuted for car jackings...they are happening multiple times daily in every part of the city and no consequences...there is really a balancing line between good law enforcement and being able to live where we feel safe.
With reference to Kim Potter unless they upgrade that charge she will probably not have prison time and this will not go well on the "streets". Not sure what they will decide on that one.

cops like Chauvin were on easy street until body cam and bystander video....not any more
