I gotta add one more comment. If the crowd of a dozen or more were at close range to 3 men with guns, who are characterized as "white supremacists" wearing bullet proof vests, it seems kind of oddly lucky to me that the injuries weren't more severe. I'm very glad no one was hurt too badly, and it appears only one person needed surgery. But my hinky meter is going off. Loudly.
It just seems strange to me that people are regularly killed in this area by both intentional and incidental gunfire, and in such close range the injuries were so mild for so many people--and that all 3 apparently got away so quickly.
That just doesn't reconcile with the skill level of the reputation of "white supremacists"-- many of whom spend a considerable amount of time studying and practicing with the biggest handguns with the most firepower. Makes me wonder what the caliber of the bullets were, and the trajectory. The wounded are very, very lucky the shooters were apparently bad shots.
I really hope this isn't a false flag situation.
I hate that this even crosses my mind, but the reported circumstances are so far removed from what I'd expect in a mass shooting where 5 were injured, that I can't help but entertain this. Especially since the only 2 spokespeople/ witnesses who have characterized this shooting as "white supremacists" coincidentally used the exact same language. Not "white shooters", or "white guys", or "white suspects"-- they are both very quick to put a racist label out there. One interviewee is Nekima Levy Pounds, the NAACP leader, and the other identifies herself as a BLM "media liaison". No one else has given media statements or interviews. I find that strange, too.
We'll see how it unfolds. Whatever happened, I hope the shooters are caught and arrested, and prosecuted.
