All the pastors and congregants of the Church are victims of the vicious and vile assault on their Church.
Were the protesters violent? Were the parishioners or the pastor physically harmed? Did the protesters point guns at anyone, were any of them armed? What exactly was the nature of the vicious assault?...words?...spoken in a sacred place?

A journalist can be an agitator. The two are not mutually exclusive. I believe he was there as an agitator. imo

Let’s see it from his point of view - unedited. Where’s the footage?

Agitator is an interesting word, especially because it became part of the public dialogue relatively recently as a politically charged, yet very vague, word used by both sides. Journalists have always had a job -- to document and report the news. Unless they're actively participating, they are not agitators. But with a word like agitator, it's easy to assign that to whomever is doing something we don't like because the word is vague enough that it's hard to argue against.

Like in my book, ICE is full of agitators. In yours, it's Lemon, it seems. It's because our definition of agitator applies to the side we don't agree with.

I maintain, journalists doing their job are not agitators.

As for the footage, if his lawyer is even slightly competent, the footage is locked away until his day in court.

MOO.

I believe ICE is enforcing our immigration laws across the country. I also believe there are protests in other places but not to the level of obstruction in Minnesota? I know some of it is that is other states are cooperating with ice and having local LE assist so ICE can carry out their lawful duties. So ICE is working lawfully in lots of cities, so why so much unrest in Minnesota? I don’t know myself, but I can guess.

All my opinion.

Any obstruction in the broadest sense of the word was mild compared to elsewhere.
The "rioters" were laughably small in numbers for all the dramatics over it.

It reflects more on the temperment of these ICE Agents shoving down women and shooting the guy helping them than the few demonstrators being loud.

Hopefully drug test were done on all the ICE agents involved. Their overblown hysterical response, odd actions in the tackle, not starting any sort of first aid, boo hoo when a man has died in front of him, the motel room antics its like they were jacked up on something.

Or I sort of hope so that would be kind of a explanation for their careless disregard of themselves as well as bystanders shooting wildly like that.

I wonder if the ICE field manager/Pastor was on the scene of AP's killing?

What would a Pastor think of the motel displays by the agents under his management?

All imo

Witness describes agents arriving at hotel before Don Lemon’s arrest

From CNN's Julia Vargas Jones

Federal agents waited at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills for several hours to arrest Don Lemon Thursday evening, according to a witness.

At approximately 7 p.m. PT, three unmarked vehicles arrived at the main entrance to the hotel, the witness said. When staff approached the agents inside the vehicles, they produced FBI credentials and staff allowed them to stay parked by the hotel’s entrance, the witness said. At least one agent got out of his vehicle and waited in the lobby for several hours, the witness said.

Lemon was arrested later on Thursday night, CNN previously reported.

CNN has reached out to the Beverly Hilton and Hilton Hotels for comment.

Juxtapose against the indictment and arrest of the agents who killed two citizens in Minneapolis.

Oh wait. Never mind.

Any thoughts on why the "journalism" is "age restricted" ?
View attachment 640740
If you click on the text you circled, you can read their Community Guidelines and infer why the platform chose to age-restrict the video. My guess is due to their profanity policy. As a journalist, Don Lemon does not police or censor the people around him. People curse throughout the video.

"Use of excessive profanity in the content"

I didn’t have that notification on YouTube. I did see an age restriction on the embedded link in the post, but I think that was more because they want to direct you to watch videos on YouTube, not another platform. But once I clicked on it, it brought me to YouTube with no age restrictions.

After clicking and being redirected to youtube, I get the age restriction.

Independent journalist Georgia Fort says she will keep telling stories in Minnesota after arrest

From CNN's Elise Hammond

Georgia Fort, an independent journalist, vowed to continue to tell stories about what is happening in Minnesota, even after she was taken into custody and indicted on charges for filming a protest in a church in St. Paul last week.

“It is quite frightening to have two dozens agents outside of your home. My children were home with me when I was arrested,” she told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

Fort, who has been released, said that Minnesota is her home and she is a member of the community. She said she was at the church protest as a journalist.

Responding to allegations in the indictment that congregants in the church feared for their safety as a result of Fort’s actions, she said: “The footage is published, it speaks for itself.”

“I am doing the best that I can to tell the stories of what’s really happening,” she said. “As an American-born citizen, it’s always been my understanding that I have that protection under the Constitution, under the First Amendment, that we have a freedom of press.”

She said her arrest sends “a chilling message” to the journalism industry and that people should be alarmed.

“Today the way that I was treated for simply doing my job, the way that I have been criminalized and dehumanized, it makes me really, really wonder if our Constitution is something of the past and if it’s just a thing made up of empty promises,” Fort said.

Don Lemon reiterates “I will not be silenced” in his first YouTube show since arrest

From CNN's Taylor Romine

Don Lemon reiterated he “will not be silenced” in his first YouTube show since he was charged for his coverage of a protest at a St. Paul church.

One good thing to come out of his arrest is “that people are realizing the critical moment that we’re in in this country, that our rights are under assault,” he said during his show.

“It may have started with people having their due process rights violated on the streets — violently violated on the streets — but now they’re trying to silence journalists, and I will not be silenced,” Lemon said, adding he looks forward to proving his innocence in court.

He also took a moment to talk about other reporters who he said have been targeted by the administration, including a Washington Post reporter who had their devices seized, saying “I stand with you.”

Lemon, who is in Los Angeles to cover the Grammys, said he is not sure if he will end up doing the red carpet coverage he planned to do.

“It’s un-American”: Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly on Don Lemon’s arrest

From CNN's Maria Aguilar Prieto

Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly called the arrest of Don Lemon “outrageous” and “un-American,” adding he believes the Trump administration is trying to send a message to those who may not view or cover his presidency in favorable terms.

“This is not just about Don Lemon. This is about you and every other journalist in this country,” Kelly told CNN’s Erin Burnett. “If you cross the president, he’s gonna come after you. And we’ve never seen anything like this in our 250 years.”

snipped

I am not a Lemon viewer (I neither like nor dislike him; I've never watched him) and I don't typically watch the award shows either....but I do hope he continues with his red-carpet coverage plans.

Hmm I wonder if ICE agents (the majority who haven’t shot anyone) might feel the same way?

Also, her constitutional rights rights end where someone else’s start. The church service is also constitutionally protected.

bbm^^

Feel the same way? Have ICE agents been woken up to dozens of officers at their door to arrest them like this Georgia Fort was?

It's not true that someone's constitutional rights end where someone else's start. Journalists have a constitutional right to freedom of the press and churchgoers have a right to worship. One doesn't erase the other. The journalist reporting on the protest does not infringe on someone's right to go to church. The protestors did, but the journalist shouldn't be punished for being the reason that you even know about the disruption of worship in the first place. JMO.

The journalists also likely recorded evidence that will help the church's case if they choose to take the protestors to court.
