This case is extra strange for me. We have very similar ink, the same exact van, came curly hair and the house directly across the street from hers is the exact same design as my house. It hits a little harder and you tend to hope a little harder when it's so oddly familiar like this.

I read it's a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country. I have the exact same van, and wondered if she has GPS in it. It records trip logs so that would certainly be helpful for LE.

A 26-year-old Minnesota mother of two went missing a week ago after dropping her children off at day care – and police are calling her disappearance “involuntary” and “suspicious.”

They need to check car wash lots, that car looks very clean. Also is it new to them/her? Anyone recognize the probably dealer ID on the front plate?

I think @Knox or @Tippy Lynn mentioned gas stops at the beginning of this thread, perhaps they stopped to top up gas at some point. If they did stop, hopefully LE can get footage from gas stops and if lucky add this to their evidence.

I think it's possibly so that they don't alarm the perpetrator and also to keep the search focused. If attention (of the public, not the LE) is on whoddunnit instead of let's find M, that's not a good thing. You also have the family to consider, who are finding this extremely upsetting.

I often wonder if in cases like this, where the children are still in the home, if LE doesn't want to escalate a situation until they are sure the children are in a safe place. I imagine it is a delicate dance. But arghh. That facebook. She looks like such a loving mother and amazing person overall, it breaks my heart. As an aside on the facebook, lots of kid pics but no husband/ex-boyfriend/partner/roommate pics for the last 3 years (I didn't go back further) for what that is worth. MOO, etc.

ETA - I also wonder why both parents were needed for pre-k drop off. I have three kids and can count the number of times that BOTH of us dropped the kids off - for example we had a teacher meeting.

She seems like a strong, educated, clever woman. We need more of them in the world. Not fewer! She seems like someone you'd want to be friends with, a daughter you'd be proud of, a mum you'd be lucky to have.

As always, the children will suffer the most. It happens time and time again, so much senseless pain.

It must be a delicate dance like you say. I hope they keep them safe at all times.

First there was Elizabeth Capaldi from PA, missing, murdered and whose husband was arrested in October 2022.

Then in January 2023, just a few months ago, there was Ana Walshe in Massachusetts, who went missing, was presumed murdered and whose husband was eventually arrested and charged.

And now this could potentially be heading the same way.

So they're planning a search party today. I have been looking at a map of Winona, they say they have video surveillance of their van driving out on 43 towards Fillmore County, near county road 12. There is literally a blacktop company off 43 right before CR 12, it's Dunn Blacktop Company. Looks like they have land and pits. Maybe the father of the kids dumped her in there? Just a thought. But my gut says he murdered her.
