False, where is your supporting evidence? moo
Sorry but LOL
Exactly. She was not suspected of violating any immigration law. Nobody on the street was suspected of violating any immigration immigration law.

MOO
she was impeding the ICE investigation. This thread is going in circles. The left thinks she was murdered. The right thinks ICE was justified.
Ms Good made a horribly bad decision that day and now she’s dead.

🎯 Thanks for highlighting this point. The day after Renee's murder, the exact same line "weaponized vehicle, self defense" was used by ICE agents who shot two people, and left them there to die, took off did not render aid or call for help. I'm under the same impression, that these are instructions and/or policies given to them. Can't be a coincidence.

Very scripted: “When agents identified themselves to the vehicle occupants, the driver weaponized his vehicle and attempted to run over the law enforcement agents,” DHS wrote in a statement on X. “Fearing for his life and safety, an agent fired a defensive shot. The driver drove off with the passenger, fleeing the scene.”

JMO Portland mayor calls for ICE to ‘halt all operations’ after two people shot & injured
A few points of clarification on that shooting.

They weren't ICE agents but rather CBP agents. The couple drove away from the scene and called 911 from a different place 2-3 miles away so the agents didn't leave them there to die without rendering aid or calling for help. And according to the Portland police chief, federal officers were at the original scene so it doesn't sound like they drove away from the scene.

Nope, the video shows uniformed agents telling her to Get out of the car. The bigger picture needs to be looked at.
The comment about the Bear at the side of a road was only a example, many more examples can apply too a scene where, Because somebody was doing Something the
end result was a serious accident.
They didn't tell her to get out of the car. They said "get out of the f*ucking car" while grabbing the door handle. Big difference. And that was after the other officers told her to move, which she was doing. The bigger picture is that these guys don't know what they are doing.

This is something I can’t wrap my head around. How can the US go into another country and capture a leader without incident, but we can’t capture illegals who’ve been convicted of heinous felonies and have orders for deportation?

The US is capable of getting this job done without all the chaos if they wanted to, so why aren’t they?

The agents and LE are doing their jobs, doing what they are instructed to do, this isn’t on them. They’ve been set up for failure no matter how you look at it. At the same time, we the people have been set up for failure.

The polices in place are intentional. Policies that promote conquer and divide. We the people need to see it for what it is and come together. The majority share the same desires like safety, health, economic opportunity, and community well-being. jmo
The Maduro capture was not without incident. By the administration's count 75 people were killed.

Ice isn't going after those who have beenl convicted of "heinous felonies".

Unpublished ICE statistics reviewed by Reuters show people with criminal convictions of any type - including minor crimes - made up only a third of the 177,000 people arrested and booked into detention from October 2024 through the end of May.

We have always deported undocumented people convicted of crimes. There simply isn't a large amount of illegal felons roaming around our country.

Ice is doing what they are instructed to do, whether that's their legitimate job is arguable. And agree that what is happening is intentional.

Wrong. There’s a reason she was perpendicular

they were trying to!!! Did you see the wife outside the vehicle taunting them?
Irrelevant. None of that justifies lethal force.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

A few points of clarification. On video it shows the shooter and other ICE agents walking away from Renee. The shooter initially walked toward, then made an about face, never reaching her, then and walked away toward the other agents. ICE blocked EMTs from attending to her. Someone is shown carrying her limp body to the other side of their blockade. JMO

False. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not their own facts. Renee is dead because Ross murdered her, unprovoked. JMO

SO WHAT? An immigration officer (who isn't even a cop) can shoot you in the face 3 times because your wife hurt his feefees ?
Right. The killer was taking mild teasing personally, and the victim attempted to deescalate by reminding him she wasn't mad at him personally.

But Ross was out of control of his own feelings. He had no business carrying a gun, IMO. Let alone working for ICE.

Not to give Ross a pass, but this situation was partially caused by poor training and a chaotic scene caused by ICE. And partially caused by anyone giving a man as fragile as Ross a badge and allowing him to carry a gun as a professional.

It’s mind-boggling that people are insisting that committing a traffic infraction (at most) warrants being shot in the face.

<modsnip> She was murdered, Im sorry but that’s just a fact. You can think it was justified but she was still shot to death by officer Ross. Sure, if Renee Good didn’t decide to go protest that day, she would still be alive. But it is her right to protest as an American citizen. MOO

How was she impeding ICE? The agents had driven past her. They were past her but stopped and went back to confront her.

When they were already past her, what justification did they have for getting out of their car and walking back to confront her?

They were supposed to be on their way to apprehend some dangerous undocumented felons (at the local high school apparently). How did stopping their vehicle and going back to confront a bystander contribute to the goal of detaining undocumented felons? They abandoned their mission to backtrack to engage with a bystander.

I think you've summed it up precisely.

I think what it also comes down to is that the right doesn’t think Officer Ross made ANY mistakes or is at all responsible for any of his own actions. She was murdered, Im sorry but that’s just a fact. You can think it was justified but she was still shot to death by officer Ross. Sure, if Renee Good didn’t decide to go protest that day, she would still be alive. But it is her right to protest as an American citizen. MOO
There is a dangerous undercurrent/implication that those who disagree with the administration deserve to be summarily executed in the street.

To my eyes and ears, in watching all the available videos from the shooting, I would not catagorize what happened as an accident. A person is told to leave, in doing so they say something snarky that ticks someone else off who then tries to open a moving vehicle's door. As the person is turning the wheel to drive away they are shot twice through the front windshield and once through the driver's side window. The shooter then calls the person they've killed a very derogatory name. Not an accident, definitely an overreaction on the shooter's part brought on by their anger. ALL just my opinion.

What was the crime? Do tell.
There was no crime by Good. There was a shooting that looks like murder to me. If anyone needed a social worker, it was Ross. But it became too late for the social worker after he shot. IMO, Ross belongs in jail or on bond/bracelet and house arrest awaiting a jury trial.
