Wow. Are you serious? The medical deception started when she was younger than 8. What would an 8 year old find satisfying about lying to a doctor so she could be confined to a wheelchair and have a feeding tube placed?

Yes I was serious. And more than likely she was 12 versus the stated age of eight. I'm pretty sure no one counted on the missing teeth at the time.

Gypsy supposedly had a history of leukemia (or so was claimed by Dee Dee to raise money). I presume therefore that Dee Dee would shave Gypsy's head so her hair didn't get a chance to grow long.

She would have been 9 in February of 2001, when article was published, not 12. And by that time, according to the article, her health was deteriorating for years. So this whole scheme started when she was a young child.

We do NOT really know if she ever had a feeding tube.

Oddly enough in one day I saw two girls that looked about the same age as Gypsy with hair in the same cut as hers. Not saying I like it but some do have very short boyish haircuts.

Do their mothers claim they had history of leukemia? Their might be people who like short hair, I don't think Gypsy is one of those people.

I didn't mean an actual party with guests and party favors. It was a phrase. I meant as I posted that IMO there were very few guidelines in the home.

Yeah, I have friends with hair as short as hers and I've worn mine almost as short, but always professionally done and stylish. Gypsy's looks like someone just took one of those clippers to it and didn't care about the result. Maybe she wanted cute, longer hair or she might have been embarrassed it was so short and unprofessional.

I'm not married to this theory or anything, just think it's definitely a possibility. It could be she didn't want to be recognized, wanted to keep up the charade, or she always wore a wig in public and it was a habit.

Her hair looks to be growing out from being shaved.
From what Dee Dee was claiming, Gypsy supposedly had a history of leukemia. So presumably Gypsy had to keep her head shaved in order for people to believe she had leukemia.

All those are possibilities. I think it leans more to a disguise at this point or it could be as you say habit. IMO

Lol. Welcome to my world. Some posters will sometimes do this. Pay it no mind. I'm enjoying you guy's conversation. But somethings do need to simmer down. We shouldn't get ambushed for speculation of thoughts. Especially when people don't understand the totality of the thought. So i do understand what you are saying. Agreed

I appreciate that. My thought is if you can't be honest about what you read or post what is the point. Kind of how I live my life anyway.Honesty is important in all things. IMO
