I went to JCHS and I really thought the picture (#5) looked like the high school cafeteria but my sister just graduated last year and she thought it looked like Simonsen's cafeteria... either way I am going to bet it was the school cafeteria.

Alyssa's mom MB gave birth to Alyssa when she was 15. Most likely KB, the grandmother has been involved in Alyssa's life from birth until Michelle moved to Missouri/Texas. Do we know if KB had custody of Alyssa in California? And KNP, the half sister to Alyssa; what is their relationship? Same mother, different father? Karen has three marriages and how many children/step children? It would be a very large extended family.

Did KB have more children besides MB? Lots of aunts and uncles for Alyssa? Not always, but usually Mormon's enjoy large families.

I'd like to know more about Alyssa's early life, especially the first three years in California. And more about MB pregnancy.

Then we have Alyssa's father's CB and his family. Were they involved?

What preceded Alyssa's suicide attempt at 13? Such a young age to be so desperate.


Edit: I found it. Her grandmother was named her legal guardian back in 2002 in the State of California. So KB has had custody for at least the past seven years.

Meyer told Crimesider that two years ago, Bustamante took "a bunch of Tylenol and something else, some sort of pain killer" at her grandparent's home, where she lived.

"She passed out and her grandma found her and called an ambulance," Meyer said. "She had to have her stomach pumped."

Alyssa would have been about 13. Three months in the psych ward at 13.

Insane yes she is, crazy yes she is, Sane people don't kill themselves or other people, but Defense Lawyers use the Insanity plea to get a lowered sentence and this is were I have a problem. I also feel that she and many others should not be in public school. Alyssa should have been in a troubled school setting, but I don't know that they even exist anymore. There are many more out there just like her. According to reports that have been made she was hospitalized for her problems was going to church and got good grades in school. The house she lived in appeared to be nice and she seemed to have all she wanted for a 15 year old and she still was not happy. I hope that she does get life without parole. jmo

I think this girl was a MASTER deceiver. She knew what she was doing she knew what she had to say to make people shut up and leave her alone.
She knew she had to act "normal" around certain people and around other people (T/CR) she could be this cleaver wearing, knife carring, kid stabbing idiot! Call it a double life, two faced, whatever you will but when it all boils down she knew what she was doing and she was great at it. She is a 15 year old girl that has played SO MANY people in her life. Do I think she is having suicidal thoughts, HELL YEAH wouldn't you? Sitting in jail thinking I could be there for the rest of my life. Shoot I would take my own life! No questions asked.

She had been in the hospital, she was on medication, she had in home care through Pathways I am sure she talked with people from the church and I am sure they were at the house often.

Short of locking her up years ago, for the rest of her life what is there to do?

If you are asking about the relationship or the lack there of between EA (the six year old) and Alyssa (these two would be step sisters same mother different fathers) it was stated in an interveiw posted here yesterday that she (Alyssa) was known to HIT her little sister!

I think I edited all the names you posted phew!

When WS Sleuthers first came up with the name of the suspect a day or so after the arrest I believe, the file that provided the name was on Casenet, when the GM sought custody of AB and the twins in 2005 in MO; that particular casenet file has since been removed or hidden.
Do you need to file for custody in every state you live in legally? IDK why would they have to file for custody in 2002 in CA and then again in 2005 -- I believe the court docs as I saw them; I am not going to believe the news media on this case until I see their evidence! (They really messed with a few of us on here when they stated that the GM took AB to a STL hospital late the night Elizabeth went missing)

I do know that the GPs moved to MO either in late 2004 or early 2005 -- I am fairly sure that Alyssa has spent some time in CA

I think family dynamics played an important role in shaping Alyssa. While they are innocent in Elizabeth's death, they are involved as family members and hopefully can shed some light on how things can go so wrong.

I know she is out of prison and she is also on unsupervised porbation for some recent charges. DUI and pot!

Like Prof said it is kinda strange that KB was getting guardianship of EA in 2007 and Alyssa "pulled her stunt" (as my mother would say)! Jealousy maybe?

I guess its just a moral issue then!
Being that KB has THREE other children that she has to care for I don't feel right putting her name out there. There are sickos out there that would love to know who her(alyssa's) family is to harm them because they think they are the reason for this. If you read some of the comments on news sites you will find them!

I am not sure the mother was ever in prison, and yeah what Danni said -- I really do think that the GM getting custody of the 3 in 2005 and then the 1 in 2007 had quite an impact on a teen at 11 and 13 respectively

I thought that someone on this forum also determined that M lived or at least listed her addresss at the gps house too -- around that 2004/2005 year --- I am not sure

I would theorize that something pretty eventful happened to get the gps to move to MO -- (with the gm's other daughter who also seemed to add to the dynamic of the new household )

Just a lot of changes in a couple of years' span for a disturbed adolescent!
