That is what I thought and the post about their burial services had me confused. This case is confusing. Imo.I think people were going back and forth on wheter the bodies were buried / covered in snow.

Oh I get your question now. I just watched it again for you.
After talking with the first officer (who I referred to in my previous post) it didn't sit well with her, so she called back and talked to the main detective, "And she somewhat corrected what he said. She said that they were still investigating everything, nothing was determined, that she couldn't tell me anything but they hadn't stopped with the investigation."
Then, she called back again the same day as this interview with Banfield (2 weeks after talking with the first two officers) and spoke with a 3rd officer. The 3rd officer told her they were still looking (investigating) and she told him some things that she has heard about JW (and she wasn't sure she was allowed to talk about it). She also said she "knows" #5 is telling the truth and when he left, everything was fine, and "he has nothing to do with what happened."
Hopefully that's helpful to you.
Hopefully the autopsies will reveal much, for the families' sakes. There's no evidence that they died quickly. All we can surmise is that they all lost consciousness around the same time. If they had taken a quick poison like cyanide they would have died inside the house. They either were feeling fine when they went outside to horse around and then got into trouble later or else the reason they went outside was to get some fresh air because they were feeling ill. The latter is more likely. If they were horsing around after midnight I suspect neighbors would have hear noises and at least one call for help when the first one passed out.
IMO he didn't necessarily miss two days of work. If he frequently worked from home, as stated (see attached link) Chiefs fan and HIV scientist named after 3 friends were found dead in his yard then not fronting up physically would not be seen as out of the ordinary IMO.I still don't understand. So, JW missed two days of work? A lot of employers would have sounded the alarm part way through the second day by contacting an emergency contact. MOO
would like to know the dog story.Plus, the kind of academic work/research he does is often accompanied by long stints at a computer - the kinds of formulae involved can keep someone at it for 20 hours, which I've witnessed with my own eyes. At his stage of career, he's probably gotten some kind of work-life balance, but my friends who do this technical work definitely have to be prompted by their watches to stand up occasionally (deep inside a mathematical web, they are reluctant to have to lose their train of thought). It's been written about Einstein that he had this rare gift where he could be days into a long formulation and still be able to start all over and (more and more quickly) remember the whole thing. If I am doing complex math and I stop, it's a complete do-over for me and I think that's common (it's also why I don't do the intensive type of biochemical research that JW is known for - it's a rare gift).
As it is, when there's inclement weather, we do stay indoors. We have a window into the front yard and another into the backyard - but we have two sideyards that are essentially invisible to us (as well as several portions of the front and back yards that we cannot see - probably half of our property is invisible from those windows). If someone had died in the yard right outside my dressing room, I would never see them.
We do have dogs - but there were no dogs at the house when LE arrived. I assume 5th person may have arrived to actually watch the game - and the three other men came over afterwards. Perhaps the father came and got the dogs prior to the main get together. Perhaps the father came and got the dogs during the game, as it was cold and maybe he felt for them being locked outside (as people often do when socializing). We just don't know. Clearly, no dogs when either the girlfriend or LE arrived. I also assume that the dogs would have alerted on the front door during the other attempts (if there were other attempts) to contact JW inside his house.
Since I also often work with airpods on, I will say that the whole goal is to not be interrupted by people at the door/mailman, etc. If I go in my room and wear the airpods, the dogs do not jolt all my thoughts out of my head. Airpods also allow voice contact via the internet, so it's possible to work in teams and tune out the rest of the world. That's how a lot of science research gets done these days, IMO. If JW was planning a major work session the following day, it makes sense that he'd ask his dad to come and get the dogs.
I still don't understand. So, JW missed two days of work? A lot of employers would have sounded the alarm part way through the second day by contacting an emergency contact. MOO
There was an article posted that spoke of how they got together regularly for football. So how did they also text him? Or is that erroneous reporting? There seem to be MSM stories saying both things - so not sure how we know.
Seems to me that JW may have moved back into the area recently (I'm just hypothesizing). How do you know that they got together regularly? Any source? I have not seen that and until there's a source, assume otherwise.
Track down on FB? What does that mean? At any rate, I've never heard that these men "got together regularly" and so, if you can, please provide soure.
I doubt he was ever over for family dinner - why would you think that?
No where do we know the entire life histories of these 4-5 people. No interactions for 20 years (before moving home after pursuing education) does not seem odd to me at all. It looks like none of the families has come forward to mention JW. Many of us live in a world where we have little contact with earlier friends - that seems to be the case here. A person who is doing the kind of research that JW has published may not have much of a social life, in which case he may be typical of many scientists.
IMO.
yeah, alcohol drags the warmth outward so you feel it more but you're actually colder! This brings to mind a scientific test I did at uni many, many years ago. My project involved testing people drinking alcohol in the cold. The uni I went to had a cold weather-controlled chamber. I provided alcohol to some subjects and non-alcohol to others as they exercised on a bike. The alcohol-drinking group had warmer superficial temperatures and 'felt' warmer, but their core temperatures were very much lower.
Conclusion: If you are drinking you don't feel the cold as much but your body may be suffering.
P.S. The test I did was 40 years ago. The paper was published by a group that did research on alcoholism.
PPS: Yes, I am old!
Thanks, so much. I appreciate the extra watch.Oh I get your question now. I just watched it again for you.

We have no evidence that any of the deceased knocked on the door, tried to open gates, or yelled for neighbors' help.i sleep with a LOUD fan on and headphones on. i can still hear when people are desperately banging on my door, and my bedroom is a decent length of space away from front door!!! my two cents... not to mention, "host" said he was sleeping on his couch not in his bedroom so that makes the lack of notice of door knocks/phone calls/what have you, even weirder...
im talking about the men's families. the husband of one of the men's friends knocked frantically for a LONG time on doors and windows!!We have no evidence that any of the deceased knocked on the door, tried to open gates, or yelled for neighbors' help.
IMO. The door knocks come two days later (from the sister).
That fact pattern tells a story.
IMO. And BTW, we cannot hear (from the back fo our house - and this house had an upstairs that faced away from the backyard) any sounds at our front door when we have our noise cancelling stuff going on - that's the whole point of having such a system.
Do you have a source for him sleeping on the couch? I thought MSM said he "came downstairs" to meet the officers with a wine glass in his hand (which is lawyer says contained water - I'd guess it was taken into evidence, so hopefully he didn't lie).
He does (gradually?) wake up on the morning that the fiancée comes to the door (and then breaks in - and I don't blame her).
Anyway, do you have a source for him not sleeping in his bedroom, because I thought the MSm here said the opposite.
IMO.
I'm glad they finally caught up to me!The Mythbusters matched your result:

Red emphasis mine.JW said he went to bed after seeing the men leave out his front door at a certain time. That's what JW's lawyer has stated publicly. That is not what the other guests stated. They said the men were up longer and the last guy out the door said the 3 men were on couch with JW watching jeopardy.

yes i meant friend 5, sorry. Are you saying a sixth person came up? I only know about 5. This includes the three victims, and JW (possible victim) then friend number #5.
oh so are they walking back the "100% NOT foul play" thing?Oh I get your question now. I just watched it again for you.

The last two men JW, and friend 5 have conflicting accounts of the events that transpired. It will all come out in the end, or it could be like "The Dyatlov Pass Incident" and we will never really know. <modsnip>yes i meant friend 5, sorry.
watching the lawyer change his tune multiple times now isn't helping J's case.![]()
