Hmmm....it shows up for me.This story is no longer available on the site I wonder why?!
The groups are planning to convene Friday in Ferguson for a number of events to last through the weekend, including street actions, panel discussions, hip-hop events, faith-based clergy-led events and nonviolent direct action trainings, according to their Facebook page, Breitbart first reported.
The predominantly black community of Ferguson still faces near-nightly unrest following the death of Michael Brown, a black teen who was fatally shot by a white police officer.
Resistance to Mike Browns killing was met with violent repression in the form of rubber bullets, tanks, and tear gas, the activists groups write, comparing the scene to the Israeli militarys presence in Gaza.
Hmmm....it shows up for me.
Question to anyone--no one in particular:
Doesn't it seem a bit wrong/illeagle/terroristic for this upcoming demonstration to be more or less ok'd by the city? IF in fact it is allowed?
ODW HAS NOT been charged with any crime !!!!!>>>
yet the so called protesters are allowed to plan action that is really no more than domestic terrorism.
than threatening a HUGE city event.
FERGUSON, Mo. — Protesters in this small Midwest city measure time by counting the number of days Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson has remained free since killing Michael Brown.
Here, after 58 days, almost everyone is waiting for a grand jury to decide whether Wilson, who shot the unarmed black 18-year-old on Aug. 9, will face charges. Businesses have put off repairing looter damage and instead have covered shattered glass with wooden boards.
Demonstrators continue to call for an arrest of the white officer and say anything short of a murder charge will bring chaos. Meanwhile, city officials and police are prepared for the worst as they brace for four days of protest events this weekend.
Michael Brown Sr., one of his attorneys and community leaders held a news conference Sunday urging authorities to arrest Wilson.
"We are praying and waiting, crying and waiting, talking and waiting," said Angela Whitman, 44, who started protesting shortly after the shooting. "If we do not get an indictment and there is no conviction, they are talking about burning our whole state down. They are talking about a whole state that they are going to take control of and just start burning stuff down. Why do we have to go through all that? This is simply about what's right and what's wrong."

this letter was posted previously and is absolutely ridiculous.
first…i really doubt MLB is going to want to touch this with a ten foot pole. at least if they were smart they wouldn't.
second…since when are sports organizations part of the legal process? or part of law enforcement?
SMH.
i saw this article this morning…long, but it illustrates the mindset, and it really, really illustrates how subversive this all is. as someone mentioned previously, the calls to circumvent the system is unbelievably hypocritical given that the "larger issue" is supposed to be about unfair treatment under the law. they don't want to be treated unfairly, yet its ok to expect and demand for OW to be treated unfairly.
The shooting spurred increased efforts to boost civic participation in the area, including voter registration drives by local activists and national figures such as the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The registration numbers are from Sept. 30. Voter registration ends Wednesday.
99.9 percent of population agrees with you, myself included.
Back from the weekend wedding trip - so fun! And nice to be away from it all for a couple of days! So I come back to a wonderful Sunday church service where they are calling fort the arrest of a LEO.
Also, I wonder what everyone thinks of that whole symphony fiasco. What was that all about? It seemed to me like they got a lot of support from the crown and the actual orchestra. That whole thing just seemed really odd to me. What are all of your thoughts.
I can't wait till this is over.
IMHO & don't want to make this religious but my "religion" is of peace & no retaliation is involved
Following the Constitution there's Due Process owed to ODW -- IMHO MBs Due Process went out the window when he roughed up the little owner of the Ferguson Mkt not to mention his juvie record which no one wants out in the open  . And here's another issue I have = are we really to believe MB was NOT affiliated with a gang? I mean, really? Those of us in the know KNOW that area is saturated with Gang Elements & both his parents are members!
uke:
Is gang involvement correlated to the lack of a father in the household? I am just asking 'cause growing up in southern IL my Dad was in a motorcycle gangbut he still was supporting us & loved us! I just don't understand NOT having your child under YOUR roof & under YOUR care?! WTH? Why have a kid/family if you're not gonna support it?! I just don't understand . . .
I think that NoThiefSallowed has made them think twice about live feeds being on the net. I think they are going to video from their personal phones, but not have them streaming publicly much anymore. jmo
BBM above: wow, closing Clark for those holding tickets -- that's HUGE & the businesses in BallPark Village are NOT going to like that! But that's the space where the last "protest" occurred at a Cards game (saw the upside down flag waver)

Scary thought process there. Picking and choosing who is entitled to due process and who isn't. How about they all are entitled to it?
Is this the guy that's offering commentary from his sofa or whatever? Put in in the same group with the rest of the livestreamers, king and cj IMO.
I was trying to make a point. I made it. Thanks.Slight exaggeration if I recall the numbers correctly. And it breaks down among race as well. Unless they've done more recent polling.
