I so agree with you about making the announcement when children are in school. They will be much safer.

What smacks of ignorance imo is those who believe that literally burning down the city is ok.... cause the law of averages includes their homes going down as well.

Someone soon needs to take control back from the protesters.
No way would I want my child in school when it's announced. I believe some of these protesters would have no problem terrorizing children. It's been done before. Jmo

Here's some information regarding Dorian's second attorney, James Williams.

A prominent New Orleans attorney now represents the eyewitness at the center of the investigation into the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo.

Williams' firm of Gauthier, Houghtaling and Williams has a St. Louis office, where it operates as Bosley Williams. Freeman Bosley Jr., William's partner in the Johnson case, was St. Louis' first black mayor.

I wonder if Dorian will need a different local attorney or not, since currently there are no charges against him that we are aware of.

I'm with you. I'd think the children would be scared and want their parents, and vice versa during a riot.

Wait, so it is wrong I have that listed as my occupation on my SM profiles?

Oh, Our Pops, you have sooooo much more right to refer to yourself as a journalist than these people out there "reporting the news."

And if anyone ever doubts it and you need references...

“Based upon the evidence presented at the (Dec. 9) hearing, there is no doubt but that the misuse of (Bosley’s) trust account was the result of selfish motives. With all due respect, the record clearly demonstrates a mental state more malevolent than mere negligence,” the panel wrote.

Meanwhile, Bosley’s law practice is under fire from two other directions: A former client is suing the firm for malpractice, claiming Bosley missed the deadline to file a worker’s compensation claim; and an advertising firm has filed suit, alleging that Bosley owes the company about $78,000.

I wonder if Bosley and Williams were assisting Dorian with settlement of the eviction matter? Hopefully Bosley's suspension doesn't further the sense of conspiracy and anger among protestors.

Bassem Masri's FB page says he lives in Chesterfield: http://www.city-data.com/city/Chesterfield-Missouri.html

... where avg. home prices and incomes are over twice the MO average ...

I don't know. Not that I'm sticking up for this guy but.......home prices don't mean a whole lot when one is living with a relative or friend so I can't consider that. But, IF Masri owns a home there, then HOW INSULTING to not have a lic / ins/ reg/ tags.

I live in a pricey area near Chesterfield because I do in home health care for my mom. I don't pay the HUGE property taxes, mortgage payments or own anything except my 13 yr old car. <-I do have car and health insurance :) Otherwise, I could NEVER afford to live here.

They're calling for another protest outside FPD, after the Council meeting I guess, inviting all Anons and revolutionaries.

I hope not. Documents & records subject to the sunshine act are considered public record, and anyone who requests & receives such documents should be allowed to post it all over the net if they choose to.

Also, the purpose of the fees is to cover the costs associated with providing the records, not to discourage people from requesting public records.

Even with an ongoing investigation? Just asking!

You're right. See my post with the Missouri statutes. Open investigations = closed records. Chief Jackson and Stephanie Karr sad the same regarding the FPD record release.

In part, their ignorance likely stems from failing to consider the long-term outcome of their actions, which seems to be how they live their life in general. As for their "home," I would bet the majority of the protestors are not homeowners, merely renters, and many of those are likely section-8. That group in particular has little to loose, as they will be afforded new housing under section 8, and it all would be another vivid example of how it's not their fault and someone else will fix it for them. That letter is so full of awesome

"The mob might call for “No peace” but we are “Peace Officers” of the state of Missouri and our duty dictates that we oppose this concept on a fundamental, ideological level. “No peace” means war and that is unacceptable in our country, our state, our city, and our community."

No. If I understand correctly, documents relating to an ongoing investigation would be exempt from sunshine requests. Thus, they would not be released (even to someone willing to pay the fee). The point is, if they're released under a sunshine request, they're public record.

The point was if they were in school they may not know there was a riot going on.
Anyone with a brain would be scared during a riot imoo. :)

My post had said I hoped the kids were home so they wouldn't be on lockdown. Anytime I've seen lockdowns done at schools, students are aware something scary is happening. And children and parents often want to be together during frightening events. That's all.
