I so agree with you about making the announcement when children are in school. They will be much safer.

What smacks of ignorance imo is those who believe that literally burning down the city is ok.... cause the law of averages includes their homes going down as well.

Someone soon needs to take control back from the protesters.

Williams' firm of Gauthier, Houghtaling and Williams has a St. Louis office, where it operates as Bosley Williams. Freeman Bosley Jr., William's partner in the Johnson case, was St. Louis' first black mayor.

I don't know. Not that I'm sticking up for this guy but.......home prices don't mean a whole lot when one is living with a relative or friend so I can't consider that. But, IF Masri owns a home there, then HOW INSULTING to not have a lic / ins/ reg/ tags.

I live in a pricey area near Chesterfield because I do in home health care for my mom. I don't pay the HUGE property taxes, mortgage payments or own anything except my 13 yr old car. <-I do have car and health insurance Otherwise, I could NEVER afford to live here.

I hope not. Documents & records subject to the sunshine act are considered public record, and anyone who requests & receives such documents should be allowed to post it all over the net if they choose to.

Also, the purpose of the fees is to cover the costs associated with providing the records, not to discourage people from requesting public records.

You're right. See my post with the Missouri statutes. Open investigations = closed records. Chief Jackson and Stephanie Karr sad the same regarding the FPD record release.

In part, their ignorance likely stems from failing to consider the long-term outcome of their actions, which seems to be how they live their life in general. As for their "home," I would bet the majority of the protestors are not homeowners, merely renters, and many of those are likely section-8. That group in particular has little to loose, as they will be afforded new housing under section 8, and it all would be another vivid example of how it's not their fault and someone else will fix it for them. SMH

No. If I understand correctly, documents relating to an ongoing investigation would be exempt from sunshine requests. Thus, they would not be released (even to someone willing to pay the fee). The point is, if they're released under a sunshine request, they're public record.

My post had said I hoped the kids were home so they wouldn't be on lockdown. Anytime I've seen lockdowns done at schools, students are aware something scary is happening. And children and parents often want to be together during frightening events. That's all.
