I'm just saying that is what the GJ and the County PD is for. They dig for that proof, if there even is any.

No they don't. Not even no one files a complaint. And there was not any wrongdoing, even in the story told to the reporter. The driver didn't agree with his ticket---well DUH, who does?

And an angry father who came back and got out of his vehicle and wanted to know what was up, was put in the squad car. What's to complain about?

I think it is common sense that anyone, anyone who was arrested by LE would feel that if they complained the officer might try to get even by giving you a ticket every time you blinked. That is nothing new for anyone. We all feel the same way. And it is why many people, regardless of who they are, will not report LE if they believe they were mistreated. Does not mean they were, does not mean LE would try and get even. It's just a fear everyone has BECAUSE cops are human, too.

So the County cannot investigate allegations of abuse of power unless there had been a previous complaint filed?

IIRC DJ used "aggressive" too. OW spoke to them "aggressively" and opened his cruiser door "aggressively". Maybe many blacks interpret any "order" from police as hostile and a sign of disrespect, while most whites in a similar situation don't see that at all.

:yeahthat:

Saw a tweet that they're mad DOJ can shut the meeting, but haven't arrested Wilson. Will the next demand be Holder lose his office?

without a complaint, how would there be an investigation? :scared: I'm confused, I think

Cards win 8 to Zip !!!

So no one has been arrested and sat in jail until after a grand jury decided to indict? Serious question.

when there is probable cause but in this case, there is no probable cause that a crime was committed; IMHO ODW was doing his job & shot MB in self defense

May I please request that all of us in future quietly come and go as we please without dramatic exits, especially very temporary ones?

Well, I try to sneak out occasionally but you guys always seem to know when I'm gone and all heck breaks loose. :stay:

What do you mean by the County? Why would they investigate a traffic stop, with no injuries/crimes, when no one filed a complaint? Why would there be allegations if no one filed a complaint? I cannot go to the police and say my neighbor was treated rudely by a cop---my neighbor has to do that. Only if I saw a CRIME happening, or I saw the person being injured. But even then, I think the victim needs to make the allegations. I can be a witness, but I cant file the claim.

while bombs were flying here-we are now bombing in syria-along with arab countries.!Prayers for the safety of our armed forces. Hope they won't need those "tanks" back. Sorry for the ot -i spent a loong time catching up here only to see there is alot going on outside ferguson. Re-taping at meeting- was the whole meeting illegally recorded? I would be angry if i was there and had been promised i could speak my mind without my face on the net and a camera was snuck in anyway!

When I was working at the tutoring program for 'at risk' kids, it was pretty entertaining to try and argue with them sometimes. My job was to help them graduate, and the teachers/counselors would give me the list of what they needed in order to graduate. Lists of missing projects and tests and credits.

At the middle class suburban school, the kids didn't argue as much. Mostly mumbled and then handed me the cell to argue with their snarky parents. Giving me excuses why the work wasnt done or blaming the teachers for losing it etc.

But many of the kids in So Central were amazing debaters. I really had to be on top of it. lol One kid in particular was awesome in his arguments. Twisted me in pretzels. I told him many times he would be a good lawyer. I tried to motivate him that way because I was really believing that. He was really smart and could do the work, but he was too into the social scene so he goofed around a lot. Years later I saw him on the campus of CSUN, and he was a TA. He was going to teach sociology and I was so impressed by him. I wish even half of the other kids were as successful later on.
