I wish WS would allow members to go to a closed room to allow political comments unabated. I am all for discerning opinions.

they do. it's called the Political Pavilion (or the PP). it's in the members-only area which is called "downstairs"

what's said downstairs, stays downstairs

if you come here and you're not signed in, you can't see it. go the the front page/main page when you're signed in and scroll all the way down, and you'll see the members-only area (non-members/guests can't see it)

It's a little scary down there...bring a flashlight! ;)

Feeds (plural) having problems.

Anyone have a working feed?

I'm kind of getting annoyed by the media thinking that none of these other media members could have possibly done things to warrant an arrest. I've seen several times media flat out ignoring request to move when something is happening. Its not only for the media members safety but also allows the police to do their job. They do at times step over the line and deserve to be arrested or at the very least pulled to the side and told something. And Please bring your credentials so you can prove who you are... I do not know how many of them run into issues and then make it seem like its LE fault.

Fight...arrest...possible gunshots being checked out.

I think it that just speaks of our culture too, everyone is taught that the night is when the "bad stuff happen". And if it's in daylight, you are somehow "safe".
Yep! Just ask that little store clerk. (I KWYM, though!)

(by the way, I think its important that we don't forget the apparently systemic fear of retribution for reporting crimes, which we discovered the other day. I think it influences a lot of aspects we've seen and will see more of as events unfold.)

Anyone else wish they'd put Mark Furman in charge? His commentary (especially about politics getting in the way of safe policing and suppressing violence) earlier had me ready to unpack my pom-poms. :D

Thanks. It came back up about the time I asked (and my Plan B went to black too...sort of scary).

The Tim feed just went off air. Basically they corralled all the stragglers into a parking lot and told them they could protest there. More media than protesters.

Watching Shepard Smith on Fox right now. MO Lt. Governor Peter Kinder is NOT happy with the Governor's statement earlier today about pursuing a "vigorous prosecution" before the investigation has even been concluded.

Granted, he's from an opposing political party than Gov. Nixon, but I totally agree with what he's saying with regards to due process.

Never thought I'd see the day when I'd tune in to Fox News. :what:

so, is there a news blackout? no live feed ANYwhere ... :waiting:

Tim's showing buildings that have been damaged in the last days. He also gave a rundown of LE "accessories."

The Governor and Obama should have said, "it's our job to make certain that the facts are presented accurately and that we accept those facts, lawfully, wherever they lead us."

But, no. They fanned the flames of race.

I hope that Officer Wilson knows just how many supporters he has because I bet he feels pretty alone right now...

[I love how these other reporters have been complimenting Tim on his coverage. This last dude said Tim's stuff is "some of the best stuff I've ever seen"].
