This new witness was in his apartment about a block away from the incident. When he heard a commotion he looked out his window and saw MB beside the cruiser engaged in some kind of struggle. He was very vague on what the struggle actually entailed. I think he was too far away to see in great detail.

He then saw the officer get out of his squad car and MB started running down the street (presumably away from the officer although it is not clear and Anderson being the lousy reporter he is did not request clarification). At that point the witness claims the officer fired two shots. He was not sure if these two shots struck MB.

At this point the witness decided to go outside to get a closer look. He lives in a two-floor walk-up apartment so I don't know how long it would take for him to get downstairs and outside.

When the witness got outside he saw MB in a crouched position with his arms clutching his his stomach (not in the air!) taking steps TOWARDS the officer. At that point the officer fired the fatal head wounds.

I don't think this new witness account is very significant because he did not see what happened in the crucial seconds before the head shot because, as mentioned, the witness was making his way from his second floor apartment to the outside. CNN's Jeffrey Toobin stupidly called this newest eyewitness account a "bombshell".

And clearly isn't true... MB wasn't shot in the stomach.

Joe Millitzer14 MINUTES AGO

St. Louis County Police swooped in and removed the Pro-Officer Wilson Protestors from the crowd.

CNN’s Ed Lavandera spoke with them briefly. Both were from St. Louis. The woman is named Dawn, she’s employed in a restaurant. The man was named Chuck, works for an aircraft manufacturer. They came down to show support for Wilson. Crowds grew quickly around them. At one point we see protestors pull at one of their Pro-Officer Wilson’s signs.

Wait. That is the same thing the clueless protester kid was saying.

This level of ignorance is common. IMO

Ask around ...people have no understanding of how the law works or their rights

This is a fact even of the officers up here in Canada. We had an officer kill a young man in Toronto last year when he was wielding a knife. I asked an officer I know why the other officer didn't just shoot him in the knee or something? He told me that they are trained to shoot to kill. So an officer needs to be serious when he draws. There is no going back. The difference in the case in Toronto was the bus was evacuated and he was not a threat to anyone but himself.

Edit: I meant to quote AtasteofHoney's post, as my post seems random.

Handguns are not that accurate in a melee situation, once you draw a weapon to defend yourself, trying to specifically wound someone is just asking for trouble since if you miss they are going to get you. In that situation you aim at the largest target available, which is smack center in your assailants chest.

Then something draws the attention of police that then draws the attention of the media that then draws the attention of the demonstrators..

And everybody clumps to a spot and there's more shouting and IMPORTANT POLICE RADIO NOISES and running photographers and now we're marching.

RE: Alright, I did it. I finally listened to O'Reilly's truth

This is very disturbing!!! I almost did it also but remained stong and firm as it relates to my repulsion factor as it relates to this screaming idiot IMO. And, even tho you caved (smile) I will not. Been a long two weeks and am entionially unavail to subject myself to such abuse Ha!

You do howver, deserve points for sharing your cave in and I salute your taking risks!

Are you OK?! after the experence

!

Don't worry, after having some time to wrap my head round the bizarro world effect that spun me into I am pretty sure it was an anomaly and we probably won't agree (he and I) again on other issues any time soon. Although *shrug* who knows. I feel like this case has sucked me into some alternate universe.

BBM

Respectfully, I doubt it.
IDK about a recording like this being played for a GJ,
but I'd put a wad of $$$ on a recording of an anonymous witness NOT being admitted to evidence in a trial.
Operative word = unidentified, meaning defendant/LEO Wilson's atty has no chance to cross-examine the witness.
You know, one of those pesky rights, Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution ... ,the right to confront witnesses.
(at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution see links to ct cases)

If someone steps forward and says, hey, that's me, I'm on the recording, well, diff story.
Imo, could poss be admitted into evd .
Defendant's atty could have tech tests- voice prints, etc done to verify it as whoever. Or to exclude as source of voice.

Def's atty could cross examine witness, ask questions about bias, where were you, how could you see from that angle,
do you wear glasses or contacts, were you wearing them, etc.

Likely forensics of some sort, prints, blood, skin/dna, etc., gngr~snap.. When MB fought over Wilson's firearm and it discharged, it likely injured MB's hand when the slide then moved forward feeding the next cartridge from the magazine into the chamber.. jmo

http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/infantry/pistol/M9.html
The M9 is carried by crew-served weapon crewmen and by others who have a personal defense requirement, such as law enforcement personnel and aviators.
The 9mm pistol has a short recoil system utilizing a falling locking block.

Upon firing, the pressure developed by the combustion gases recoils the slide-barrel assembly. After a short run, the locking block will stop the rearward movement of the barrel and release the slide which will continue its rearward movement. The slide will then extract and eject the fired cartridge case, 🤬🤬🤬🤬 the hammer and compress the recoil spring. The slide then moves forward feeding the next cartridge from the magazine into the chamber.

Hmm... so maybe MB has powder on his hands as well?

All posts are MOO

Alright, I did it. I finally listened to O'Reilly's truth about Ferguson talking point. I think I shared the other night that I really really don't care for him.

That man succinctly and eloquently expressed my thoughts on this case. As if he is in my head.

I am freaking out. I completely and totally agree with Bill O'Reilly. Like literally EVERY word of it.

What does this mean?

How did this happen? To me? A hybrid, a card carrying conservative liberal???

 :waitasec:

:thud:

Idk why he gets such a bad rap, he calls it like he sees it most of the time, regardless of what or who the topic is.

Has anyone heard that it may not have been a robbery? I guess the owner never called it in and that it was someone in the store. I don't know what to think about that. If true, then MB wouldn't have been as apprehensive of being stopped by DW. OTOH, when DW heard the BOLO he would have had no way to know if in fact it was all just a misunderstanding at that time, so it really doesn't change anything from his mindset and actions.

Then I found this. I'd actually heard about it a few days ago, but from a non-MSM blog so I was skeptical. But the LA Times seems to confirm these as Brown's own songs. On one hand, they break my heart. The one called "Feel My Pain" seems to be him talking a little about how he perceives his life, that his mom didn't care, that she put his siblings first, etc. I don't impugn his mother because I know having a teenager that sometimes they feel that way and it's just teen angst, no matter what their background. But it also does kind of show how even though he was 18, he still was a teenager with those same teen angsts and fears.

Then I get to the song the above blogs had quoted and my skepticism in part was because the lyrics were so damning. It's the song featuring his friend and it's Freestyle from 8/5. (The link to his Soundcloud is within the LA Times article on the video which is why I'm not producing a separate link.) He clearly doesn't have a lot of love for white people. Maybe this was less about DW being a cop than him being a white dude? If the date is accurate the song was posted just a few days before his death. IDK. Regardless, it just makes me so sad for him, to have that kind of attitude, and at such a young age.

Haha... your post reminds me of the Republican Rep from NM or AZ (forget her name)- she said she and her husband were lifelong dems until they watched a GOP convention, looked at each other, and said, omg! We're Republicans! haha...
Bill gets fired up on a lot of subjects, it's true, but I agree with many many things he says! (And he says he is not of any party, he's Independent)
His take on the treatment of Officer Wilson is right on target for me

And that proves my point----don't mess with the police.

Actually, my common sense tells me not to be comfortable with any person near me with a gun, let alone taunt them in any way.

I'm sure there's plenty of police officers at Fergus*n that are absolutely disgusted with what is going on there. The whole shabang is sad.

Although I am not defending the actions of this particular officer, I will say that I heard in the beginning of the video a few people yelling, "Don't throw anything" repeatedly.

Seriously, this situation s*cks.

There's no winning here.

When there's a bad guy with a gun, I guarantee you'll be begging to be right next to the good guy with a gun.

Could MB have been cradling his arm with the gunshot wounds into his stomach? Because I could see that happening once hit in the arm pulling that arm in toward the stomach area with the uninjured one. Just specualtion

at first I thought this was about the other shooting? Crazy guy with knife.

Anyway, clutching his stomach...maybe he was hugging his arm to his chest?
