At some point mom got out of the car and broke into the shed for the gas can. There are pictures of the car being towed somewhere, the door to the gas tank is open.
As an adult I can’t imagine being comfortable enough in the car to sleep until noon in that heat!

FlossyMay, kkdj & everyone else who mentioned this! - that's what I was thinking - he should have given that car more than a passing glance. The car is running!! No one is answering the door, but it is open with screen shut. I believe I would have walked over to the car to check it out since I'm looking for 2 little kids!! ??!! Strange, eh?

Oh - just noticed in another article that the children's div. worker says he didn't want anyone think he was prowling around... ?? He was looking for 2 kids - would be my explanation if anyone asked! That's "why" he was there for g*d's sake! And he "might" have saved those two babies.... gaah

This genuinely boggles my mind. The worker is there to check on a potentially harmful situation that involves children and not a SINGLE red flag goes up with the door open, no one answering and a running vehicle in the drive? If I came across such a situation I'd be suspicious even if it didn't involve kids. It's just not a normal scenario on any level.

Exactly.

As a social worker I am very nosey and snoopy. I question EVERYTHING. Especially when I did home visits. I ask 10000 questions until I’m satisfied with an explanation. I actually had a client almost stab me in her home when she was suicidal because I asked too many questions. I was able to take the knife away without incident and called 911. Physically taking the knife away wasn’t my job and I could have gotten in trouble but my clients safety is always my main concern.

If your husband is in the field with some girl, how are the kids going to hear you argue? The kids should have been asleep at 3 or 4 am and waking them up to move them to the car sounds insane. Am I misunderstanding this? At what point was she locked out of the house if the door was standing open at 9:30?

The whole thing stinks.

I had the babies in the car because I didn’t want them to hear us argue. I dozed off for just a second. When I woke up I saw them and ran them to the neighbors.”

Well there you have it!
I'm still having a hard time with this story. She threw a brick at dads vehicle, and then rammed his vehicle with hers..he left and went to his mothers house. I'm not following Jenna's story..when dad left, kids were in the house. This is still bunk in my opinion. Rotten in Denmark ..

FWIW, the most obvious sign that a vehicle's air conditioner is operating (or had recently been operating) is a puddle of water under the vehicle, caused by condensation. In My Experience.

Colour me confused. I feel like a need a flip chart.

Susan Smith just came to mind. Ouch!

Mom discovers hubby is cheating on her so she decides to
throw a brick at him
ram his car
and now both of his children are dead while under her watch.

All in under 12 hours.
The story is pretty obvious.

The investigator said he didn't think the AC was on as he didn't hear a fan. And as I said before, she was the only one that could get out, which she did. (I'm assuming the 2 year old and the 7 week old were strapped in their car seats.)

Was there no phone involved? I haven't heard anything about texts or calls.

Does anyone know where her 9 year old was during all of this?

I am wonder if she and Dad had the argument. She put the babies in the car for her dramatic exit. The argument continued to escalate which ended in her throwing the brick and ramming his car. In the commotion, she forgot about the babies and eventually passed out. In her mind, at 3-4 am, your babies are in bed, not in the car. MOO.

I think she was with her dad. I believe she has a different dad from the younger two.

If she was ramming his car with hers where were the babies then? The dad said when he left they were in the house. So after he left she put the babies in the car? Did she go somewhere?

I thought the grand ram took place at about 11:00 p.m., dad went to his moms house, kids were in the house when he left. And who could forget a newborn baby? Don't they have to eat like every two hours or so? This story is so bollixed up..in my opinion..

I think she has a different dad too. Poor thing. Both of her sisters are deceased and her mom is in jail.
