It is known that he went to his RV and then drove away from the hospital, after he got off work the morning he disappeared. I'm guessing there are a number of cameras recording activities in the entire hospital and in the parking lots. At the yard waste drop-off, he chose where to park, he was seen getting out of his car, only one person got out of the car, got into the white SUV, got out, and walked around for 15 minutes before leaving the area of his car. To me, that indicates that he was acting of his own free will. I think LE would have watched the video for any activity long after he walked away, at least until that officer came thru later in the day. Both the car and the RV were impounded, I'm sure that forensics were done on both.

"he was seen getting out of his car, only one person got out of the car, got into the white SUV, got out, and walked around for 15 minutes before leaving the area of his car."

I searched last evening for a statement by LE with these similar comments. They can only be attributable to Richard, at this time, as far as I could tell. LE has not confirmed this info, to be clear.

MOO To be clear, the description of what is shown in the video is the brother's words, the existence of video evidence does not rely on the brother. LE said there was no sign of foul play and they had access to far more information than the brother. IMO, if one thinks a kidnapping as described in the scenario is possible, how were all the cameras avoided?

I don't think the brother lied about seeing video(s). I don't know how accurate his descriptions are, but he certainly doesn't say he saw something that shows other people in or around his brother's car. Nothing he described was self-serving, as in supporting his suspicions of foul play. If one agrees that there is a video of the victim that day, does it seem possible that others were with him but somehow remained completely out of sight, avoided all cameras even as they initially approached the hospital?

"The missing man — described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds — was wearing a black shirt with blue/gray pants when he was last seen leaving the Cassville Mercy ER Clinic on Sunday morning.
He texted his fiancee at 7 a.m., but within minutes, he stopped responding and was seen walking to the RV where he stayed in the hospital parking lot.
Security footage then showed Forsyth’s Infiniti sedan arriving at the nearby Cassville Aquatic Center before a white SUV pulled up near him."

This video was previously posted upthread.
The reporter says that investigators told her about the video of the white SUV.

I only recall that JF was "seen leaving the hospital". I don't know if this was an eyewitness or it was caught on camera. There has been no mention of any cameras around where his RV was parked, which is not in sight of the hospital. It's possible someone could have been waiting near the clinic for him to arrive back at his RV.

I agree. We haven't heard anything about video or cameras that show the area where the RV was parked. All we know is from Richard (BBM):

"“His fiancée was texting him around 7 a.m… and as he was leaving he was texting her things like ‘Hey, my shift’s over’ and ‘I’ll see you a little bit later,’” Richard said. “And then minutes later, he stops responding to text messages and is seen walking toward his RV.

"A little while later security footage shows Forsyth’s car pulling into the aquatic park parking lot. A white SUV showed up a few minutes later and parked near him, Richard said. “It leaves a few minutes later and [John] is seen walking around maybe 10 to 15 minutes after that,” Richard said police told him. “And then he walks away from his car.”"

We have heard nothing about video or cameras that capture the disposal area where the Dr.'s car was found. I am confident that if there was surveillance of the disposal area, Richard would have said so.

Didn't someone reach out to a reporter yesterday or the day before and they confirmed it's being investigated as a homicide? Did I make this up? Am I conflating 2 different cases?

Thanks @NoSpoonFeeding From you second link:

"It’s also unclear what Forsyth’s connection might be to the second vehicle seen on pool surveillance video. Authorities have not confirmed any information about the video, including if it was taken before or after Forsyth may have texted his fiancee."

BBM
I thought the timeline showed he texted his fiancee as he was leaving the hospital at 7am, but maybe not? Was he texting her from the park or was it even him who texted her?

@Elliot_Alderson You are correct. A local news reporter who's been following the case confirmed it's being investigated as a homicide.

Elizabeth VanMetre

initially they didn’t but Arkansas is investigating as a homicide

Thanks for the swift reply, gliving! So initially they didn't investigate it as a homicide but I'm assuming something early on has led to LE swinging that way? That makes me a lot less inclined to think of a suicide. MOO

Right. I think at first it was believed he may have voluntarily left the area until his body was found days later with a gunshot wound. That's when Benton County AR Sheriff told the family they were investigating it as a homicide investigation.

John, His Car, & the SUV, at Aquatic Park?

...
snipped for focus @Vresia. Thank you for link w quote.
Did brother say HE saw the vid or
did he say he was repeating what LE told him?
A link, anyone? TiA.

John's car is parked. White SUV arrives, parks, and leaves.
" [John] is seen walking around maybe 10 to 15 minutes after that."

Did SUV driver or passenger get out of vehicle, walk to John's car? Get in?
Did John get out of his car, walk to SUV? Get into SUV?

For the 10 - 15 min., did John stay in car, then get out?
Or was John walking around for that 10 - 15 period?

Does John's cell (one of them) show voice or texting activity at that time?
Calling, talking w, or texting w ___?

Seems LE should know ^^^ answers (not that they should release info).
Edited, minor clarifications.

@al66pine John's brother Richard said the family has watched the video:

John’s family said they have been shown security footage showing a person they believe is John and another car around 7:15 a.m.

“We have the white vehicle leaving about 3 minutes after that and then 10 to 15 minutes after that, someone looking quite a bit like my brother, the image is a bit blurry, exiting his car,” Richard said. “The clothing he was wearing fits his last known description, [walked] around a bit and then walk away.”

And that same camera would / should have shown who got in his car and drove it away. Was it him, alone? Or someone else who showed up?
He’s was initially speaking a bit freely but doesn’t give that information. Unless LE didn’t share that with him.

It says here, police told him.

And yet this article states they viewed the video footage. Sigh…..
ETA: This is a later article, so poss it is more accurate?

I contacted a KY3 reporter, Liam Garrity, about his statement in a 6/12/23 article saying
that police "still don't suspect foul play." He confirmed that this was based on LE remarks from before Dr. F's body was found. He said "as of now we have had no police department tell us there was an indication of foul play."

The statement that police "still don't suspect foul play" was removed from the article.

LE, whether from Cassville, MO or Beaver Lake, AR, are not saying anything at this time and haven't for a while. They're not giving out any details. Other LE, possibly federal, are involved. They've said in their last statement to news media they won't give any further information until the autopsy is completed.

Initially, Richard Forsyth said security camera footage showed his brother getting into someone else’s vehicle. He now says the footage shows that a few minutes after the doctor parked his car, a white SUV arrived, then left shortly afterward. About 10 or 15 minutes after that, the doctor got out of his car and walked away, never to be seen alive again, Richard Forsyth said. Found inside his unlocked car were two cellphones, a laptop and important documents, he said.

So far, authorities — who have stressed a need to investigate thoroughly before releasing information — have not said whether the SUV was related to Forsyth's disappearance, or whether they've found the gun used to shoot him or identified any suspects.

Richard Forsyth said family members have been told it could be a long wait for answers, but they have confidence in the investigating officers.

ETA: This article was posted about 25 minutes ago and summarizes all the known information about the case thus far.

The phrase "Investigate as if a homicide/treat it like a homicide" does not equal "its a homicide". We've seen it a number of times when the death was ruled suicide or accidental. You can't read about death investigations without seeing the phrase regularly. LE has a responsibility to thoroughly investigate unexpected deaths, every death with questionable circumstances.
The finding of the victim's body does not change that LE said there was no foul play suspected at the time of the video, he walked away of his own free will. MOO

Dumb question: did he ditch his car and get a rideshare?

@al66pine John's brother Richard said the family has watched the video:

John’s family said they have been shown security footage showing a person they believe is John and another car around 7:15 a.m.

“We have the white vehicle leaving about 3 minutes after that and then 10 to 15 minutes after that, someone looking quite a bit like my brother, the image is a bit blurry, exiting his car,” Richard said. “The clothing he was wearing fits his last known description, [walked] around a bit and then walk away.”

There it is! TY! I'd been looking for where I read that R explained the blurry video showed someone dressed similar to his brother, John, in a black shirt and fitted gray jeans, walk away. It's at 7:15am. Okay.

His car is parked behind the fence so does he walk around within that space behind the fence where his car is parked for 10 to 15 min, then, walk away somewhere that's behind the fence where his car is parked? Is there a gap in the fencing other than at the gate?

I thought the scent dogs that were brought to the scene only sat (signaled) at the debris pile meaning that John's scent stopped at the debris pile. I see two piles of debris.

Quoting this recent AP Article
"John Forsyth had substantial crypto currency holdings when his second divorce became final last month. The divorce decree evenly split his and his ex-wife’s holdings in bitcoin and another digital currency, Ethereum, valuing them at more than $800,000. The decree also required him to pay an additional $15,000 a month to his ex-wife as well as $3,999 a month to support four of their children, ages 10 to 18. The decree estimated the value of John Forsyth’s business interests outside his cryptocurrency holdings at $1 million."

So, this confirms a big question we've had for a while. He really was a "Bitcoin millionaire," but seemingly barely. The couple split $1.6 Million in crypto.

Richard also says this
Richard Forsyth acknowledged that others might question whether Onfo was a “multi-level marketing” operation, but added, “The key difference is that we never sold anything.” And, he said, it’s probably cost them millions of dollars, rather than turning a profit.

interesting details on financials.
