Paximus--You are so right. Lots of bodies were located in Mr. Sowell's neatly kept home. My point exactly. Most of the neighbors were shocked. As I'm sure you know as an attorney, crime happens, and people hurt.

The judge set a new court date in December for the Mohlers. In the meantime, their bonds have been increased. Burrell Mohler Sr.'s bond is set at $225,000, Burrell Jr.'s is $100,000, Roland's is $80,000, Jared's is $100,000, and David's is $70,000.

I am DID, and supressed memories are STILL coming out, years after the abuse.

But the warrant offers no details about the stabbing victim or why he was targeted. Independence police say their department had no information about a person disappearing in April 1988 after driving away from an Independence mall. Nothing in the warrant suggests where the man lived.

The Highway Patrol's online "missing adults" Web site lists only one active case from 1988, involving a man reported missing Dec. 11 of that year from the eastern Missouri town of Union about 200 miles to the east.
Authorities also have not provided additional details about the alleged stabbing and have declined to say what has been found on the property.

Absolutely, no doubt about that, like I said before they fit my personal profile for those who commit sex crimes, nothing at all against Christians but I have found through extensive research that a lot of sexual offenders are very well respected members of their churches and usually politically connected, often republican and very outspoken about things like family values and usually very homophobic even though they are often homosexual themselves.

This is just one demographic of sexual offender but it is the demographic that I have personally studied the most.

But again lets see what happens this week.

Also I would like to add that I have absolutely nothing against Mormons but Smith's teachings when taken literally and practiced fundamentally do include spiritual weddings, polygamy and child brides and I would SUGGEST if these accusations turn out to be true that these people may not be classic paedophiles per se but rather they were taught by the father that what they were doing was religiously sound and expected of them, perhaps they were even made to believe they were helping the girls in some twisted demented way, by introducing them to sexual intercourse at a young age. There is no shortage of twisted and evil things people will do and try and justify it with religious belief.

Just some user comments from the papers sites that struck me as interesting. Not sure if we are allowed to copy comments, please let me know.

"This is so horrific. I grew up less than a 1/4 mile from these 🤬🤬🤬. We always new they were stange...."

" I lived about two miles from where this all took place and would routinely walk the quarter mile between my house and grandparents.......One day in the early 90's a black astro star mini van slowed down then sped up. I seen two men in the van looking at me. Something told me to get ready and run. I had already got near the fence off the road about 10 foot. At the top of the hill the van slammed on the breaks and floored it in reverse. Thats when I took off back towards my grandma's. I heard a man hollering but I never looked back. I did hear doors slam shut and the van start driving but I never looked back.........."

I found this comment on Topix:

"I thought one of the charges included some recording of the events."

Does anyone know what this commenter is referring to? I don't remember hearing about a recording at all.

Well at this point it is just a pile of bones so his life size really wouldnt matter much, but yes I agree we need a body before we start jumping to a lot of conclusions. It shouldnt be difficult to find a body, as I understand we are talking about a 2 acre plot of land, which really isnt that big, the dogs and various technological gadgetry that LE has at their disposal these days should be able to locate a body or bodies relatively easy once they start looking.

Of couse since he was big the grave would have had to have been rather large so that should make it even easier to find. Most criminals do not bother to do deep graves, most are just a few feet under unless they had access to farm equipment which I have seen no evidence of.
The allegations are the grave was made by little girls so it should be a shallow grave if it exists at all. Police also claim there is a box in the basement (presumably implying there is a dead baby in there)-well what's stopping them from digging it up?

According to court documents, police found 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 depicting incest at the Independence home of Burrell E. Mohler Sr., where he had lived for about 15 years with his wife and a woman who was given a separate room.......

Some of the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 confiscated included magazines such as Family Taboo, Best of Family Secrets and Best of Family Touch, according to court documents. There were also numerous sex toys and videos showing girls under age 17 confiscated, investigators said.

Good point! It is not easy to imagine 9 and 10 year old girls being able to dig a proper grave, those bodies, assuming they are there, are likely just under the top soil.

Neatly kept home? Really? The whole neighborhood reportedly stunk.

thank you for the link, Ladybass -- the details in this search warrant only serve, IMO, to strengthen the truth from the victims.

Has anyone ever heard of a case of false accusations where the vics admitted their involvement in a homidice???

we're not talking cruelty to animals, or the vics merely watching a monster be cruel to animals -- these vics are saying they were part & parcel of a homicide??

why would ANYone bring their horrors to the attention of LE??

why would ANYone voluntarily admit to being a child involved in a homicide??? IMO, this is NOT some "ex-wife's vendetta"!

these adult survivors are crying out for help as they've never done before.

what a painful burden they've shouldered all these years because of the evil that controlled them.

IMO, their stories are NOT fabricated, and their pain is all too real.

WOW!!! I'm just getting caught up on the latest.

Is it correct that the found jars with notes? I'm trying to absorb the rest.

Alleged victims frequently made claims that they were made to participate in murders during the "Satanic ritual abuse" cases which swept the nation over two decades ago.

One thing that jumps out at me is how incongruous some of these statements are. Can you imagine how much more readily we would accept the news that one of the Mohlers had forced the victims to kidnap and kill a small child? That makes some sort of twisted sense, doesn't it? But that's not what they reported. They reported that they kidnapped a 300 lb. man. Totally outrageous!!

I have a hard time believing that this is a lie due to its incongruity. These victims, by all accounts, are intelligent and bright "twenty-somethings". I'm certain that they are carefully considering just how the world is going to react to their disclosures. Why do you think they haven't come forward before? They've been brainwashed to know that they will never be believed. What happened to them is beyond the pale. If this was some sort of witch hunt or vindictive plan, the disclosures would be much more sensible and sane....and a little easier to swallow. JMO

You know, while we sit here and research and sleuth, these victims are holed up somewhere (carrying this name) and trying to get up tomorrow morning and fight the good fight. My heart goes out to them. If they ever come on to WS, I hope they sense some acceptance and support. For all of you fellow posters, who have shared your past pain here, we've believed you and opened our arms to catch you. I offer them the same.

To my knowledge no jars have been found yet but I may not be up on the lastest news.

Right and some are! Just because there were false reports, does not mean that it doesn't exisit.

Human sacrifice DOES in fact go on. Its part of rituals in cult activity.

I am NOT saying that this case is tied to that, but speaking from personal expierence I do know for a fact that human sacrfice and animal sacrifices do go on!

I never even HEARD of 'Family Taboo' & 'Best of Family Secrets..' magazines -- WTF??

I've had friends who found Playboy magazines under the bed in their parents bedroom but NOTHING like 'Family Taboo'

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Family-Taboos-Digest-Sized-Magazine-Stories/dp/B0017P1VNM"]Amazon.com: Family Taboos - April 1990: Digest-Sized Adult Magazine Full of Incest Stories: Editors of Family Taboos: Books[/ame]

sooo - it appears that SOMEone was interested in incest.

I don't know ONE single person with an INCEST magazine -- WTF?!!! This is SICK.

The news reporters need to start calling these crimes what they are - and that is mult-generational incestuous abuse.

I've yet to see 'incest' in one online article. It is at the root of the abuse, but is too sickening for media to acknowledge & call it what it is.

It's a wonder the vics/survivors ever spoke up.
