I am far behind in this thread. What is the latest news? Have jars been found? Have bodies been found? Is there any more info on the deceased man?

Any one willing to catch me up or will I have to go back and wade through the thread (me looking hopeful here)?

OH....I don't feel anyone is stopping me from posting, I don't even have anything I wish to contribute to this particular case! I was simply responding to the person who mentioned that they felt that way a few posts before mine. I see no reason for anyone to become irritable at me at all, here! FWIW I never put anyone on ignore, I respect ALL posters no matter what, and I am quite familiar with how to scroll past those I choose not to read.

Sorry, didn't me to direct it AT you. Was just trying to be helpful:)

Hi fellow WS'ers!! I haven't had time to read back thru all the threads, and sometimes it is intereting to just jump in the middle of a conversation. This seems like one of those times because I see that you guys are taking a detour that is really just a curve around what is happening. Apparently, there is some literature that has surfaced that is allegedly 'incestuous pornography', but can perhaps be purchased on Amazon - which means it really isn't much to talk about. Paximus is playing his usual devils advocate role of protecting "the innocent until proven quilty", and that upsets many WS'ers who are victims advocates. Thank GOD for a legal system where we hear both sides of the fence! I don't want to send us off on another curve around reality, but I am glad we have two sides of every story so that the WHOLE picture is revealed. That is where justice rules - in the bright light of TRUTH. I firmly believe that if the crimes that are alleged in this case happened, there will be evidence to support them. I also firmly believe that people accused of such crimes deserve a fair trial because I....and you..... could be accused of any crime that any evil - or sick - mind could devise. :blowkiss:

Who said "better let 100 guilty people go free than punish one innocent?"

I dunno...but I disagree............. if the 100 guilty are all sexual predators that prey on innocent children.

I'm still hoping for an update myself;)

Perhaps the legal debates about admissible/non-admissible and who should get what type of defense could be taken to a separate thread in the PL where those who wish to argue the issue could continue to do so. I can see the point that was being made, that those who want to read here to see information about the case as opposed to legal debates are frustrated and do not feel welcome to post their thoughts or ideas.

Personally I think people should do their thing and let others do theirs, contribute what you feel is important and allow others to do the same, in the end it all works itself out.

I have heard people call these men perverts and their homes called houses of horror and yes I do take issue with that and will call that what it is. Its premature and irresponsible but that doesnt mean you cant say that if that is what you feel, just allow me the right to explain why I disagree with it at this time.

I am surprised that there hasn't been a demand/need for a forum for this case. This case has all of the hallmarks for a landmark case. I think perhaps, it is because there has been so LITTLE media attention to it - which is surprising in itself! :waitasec:

While I don't share your opinion, I'll fight to the death for your right to have one:)

That came from me, Linda7NJ. Perhaps I will take your advice about the ignore button. Sorry.

What exactly is preventing you from jumping in and sharing your thoughts, I see a lot of different people talking about a lot of different things. I dont understand why you feel the thread feels icky simply because a few of us are not ready to bring in the lynch mob until we see more evidence.

I'll do my best for ya, Salem

* no bodies found yet
* have found 1/2 credit card, sole of a shoe or boot, eye glasses, and IIRC, broken glass jar
* collected 4 jars of soil samples
* collected incest books/magazine & 'incest porn' & adult sex toys -- these were found by Sr's wife in fake ceiling in the basement -- she promptly booted him to the basement to live & stored the stuff she found in a file cabinet a couple months ago
* collected computer, VHS tapes (Pornochio being one that was titled -- other tapes aren't titled)
* only Jared Mohler has an atty
* Darrel isn't fighting extradition, but AFAIK, is not yet in Missouri

If I forgot anything, hopefully others will chime in -- and correct me if I got anything incorrect

ETA: and LE said they are concentrating more on sexual abuse investigation vs. murder investigation

Thank you PAXIMUS. I tried to say the same thing and it didn't come out correctly. You stated what I wanted to say. I think that the Satanic thing doesn't even occur that often, it just gets twisted into that. Makes it all easier to write off. People can't accept that this goes on and want to turn it into Satan worship to make it easier to swallow and discount.

I dont think this had anything to do with Satan worship.

I absolutely agree with this statement, although I do not know who orginally said it I do know Dershowitz is very fond of saying it and very much believes it to be true.

Everyone's opinion is important! If we all agreed, none of us would be here. We all need to respect one each other's opinions.

That being said, I do believe LE has waaaaaaaaaaay more evidence than we know about and I do believe these perverts are guilty.

If they're not, I will be the first to admit I was wrong and eat my hat....

Thank you TexasMist!

This case is slow moving....

Raeann - you indicated earlier that if the "incest mag" could be purchased at Amazon it probably was not very bad. Can you elaborate? I was actually horrified to see that you could purchase such books at Amazon. I do a lot of shopping there and I certainly, in NO way, want to support porn.

TIA,

Salem

Per my research, the book Family Taboos Digest-Sized Adult Magazine Full of Incest Stories, is considered 'adult' material -- and stuff like this can be purchased at porn shops -- or Amazon if available

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Family-Taboos-Digest-Sized-Magazine-Stories/dp/B0017P1VNM"]Amazon.com: Family Taboos - April 1990: Digest-Sized Adult Magazine Full of Incest Stories: Editors of Family Taboos: Books[/ame]

I've personally never browsed the 'Adult' titles at Amazon so I have no idea what perverted, yet legal, reading material can be found there.

LE is concentrating more on a sexual abuse than murder?
Doesn't anyone else find it peculiar?
The witnesses allege some innocent man had been murdered, and LE doesn't concentrate on that?
Why would that be?
As far as I know, there is no statute of limitation on murder. There are also harsher penalties for murder than for sexual abuse.
If LE thinks they have credible witnesses, and those witnesses allege murder, one would think LE would be all over it.

LE IS all over it. It's alot of land to dig up and who's to say that the perps didn't move the body - and jars - over the years?

Hey Salem! I am not sure if you were talking to me - "Reannan" - or to "Raeann" - (Reannan waves Hello to Raeann). But in any case, if you just go to Amazon.com and search on the word 'incest' you will be surprised at the variety of material you will find. Some of it is from a vicitm's viewpoint - but not all of it. A free society has it's downside apparently.
