Ok.... I need to document for the record that some of the disgusting, strange stuff on my computer is from searching issues here at WS's. Gosh, some of that stuff at Amazon is ridiculous - like the 'Family Taboos' magazine!

LE IS all over it. It's alot of land to dig up and who's to say that the perps didn't move the body - and jars - over the years?

The baby is supposed to be under the floor in the basement.
That shouldn't be too much trouble to dig up.

LE is concentrating more on a sexual abuse than murder?
Doesn't anyone else find it peculiar?
The witnesses allege some innocent man had been murdered, and LE doesn't concentrate on that?
Why would that be?
As far as I know, there is no statute of limitation on murder. There are also harsher penalties for murder than for sexual abuse.
If LE thinks they have credible witnesses, and those witnesses allege murder, one would think LE would be all over it.

I think, maybe, LE is thinking if they can get the sex abuse case together and gather the evidence they need, the murder will fall into place. They need to focus on something and at this point, it does not appear that there is any missing person in MO that meets the description of the alleged victim. Maybe the guy didn't really die? But the girls (very young) thought he did. Maybe he just passed out? Given all that has happened here, I can see where some memories might not be exact, kwim?

I'm NOT saying these guys are innocent, I'm saying that young, tramatized children are going to remember what they experienced and what they saw, but some of that may be mixed up with what others have told them over the years.

Like when a child is told "that never happened" so many times, the child begins to believe it didn't happen, even though he knows it did.

I'm rambling, huh? Sorry.

and just think-- ol' granddad-- accused of raping his granddaughters reads this stuff.

Surely he just has books and picture mags depicting incest for research purposes only. :BIG eyeroll:

Do you know they haven't found that box? I don't. IMO, we only know a fraction of what LE knows at this point. The very fact that they are digging up that property as they are speaks volumes to me.

One would think if they found a dead baby they would have mentioned it when they reported digging up a credit card and glasses.
Really.

Better hope nobody accuses you of anything. That's a whole lot of "evidence" right there.

Then it must have been raeann that said if you could get it at Amazon it probably wasn't too bad. I'm not going searching LOL. I'm gonna take your word for it :)

I don't want any strange stuff on my computer.

Thanks for your research though :)

LE will disclose what they believe is important at any given time. I will not question them at this time.

I believe there was an article that said LE had used an infrared light or something and there was a shape under the cement in the basement that was consistent with the shape of a box. I don't remember reading that the floor had been dug up though. Hopefully we will hear that soon - before the end of the week maybe (I'm crossing my fingers).

Hopefully, all of this will be inadmissable in a court of a law if you're ever accused of a crime!!!

You're right -- it would obviously be prejudicial.

<snip>

When investigators showed up recently with a search warrant, she gave them a key to a locked file cabinet. That’s where they found magazines with names such as Family Taboo and Best of Family Secrets.

Also taken in the search of Burrell Mohler Sr.’s house in Independence were sex toys, video recording equipment and homemade VHS tapes.

.....

More charges in the ever-expanding case are expected today, adding to the 31 already filed in the rural Missouri case that has caught attention around the world.

....

In other developments, the major case squad that initially investigated the case disbanded Wednesday, leaving the investigation to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.

I wonder what those homemade videos will show? Do you think the man was stupid enough to make videos? One can only hope.

:blushing::blushing::blushing::blushing::blushing::blushing::blushing:

NOOOOOOO it most certainly was NOT ME!!! I would never, never in a million years even go to Amazon to look to see if they had such a thing on their site. Not for any reason, at any time EVER would I even type those kinds of words into a search or a post of any kind. I may be kind of a conservative/square/whatever type person because I feel that way, but it's just the way I am.

FWIW I am sure that it was Paximus who said that in a number of different posts.

Thank you TexasMist!

This case is slow moving....

Raeann - you indicated earlier that if the "incest mag" could be purchased at Amazon it probably was not very bad. Can you elaborate? I was actually horrified to see that you could purchase such books at Amazon. I do a lot of shopping there and I certainly, in NO way, want to support porn.

TIA,

Salem

LOL....

Once again....it was NOT ME who said that....sorry, to repeat here, but want to make it clear that I DO NOT KNOW if they are on Amazon or not. AND I sure don't want them suing me for saying something that is not true about them. So, as everyone at my house says when dirty dishes get left in the sink " IT WASN"T ME...." :innocent:
