My half-brother molested 4 of his 7 kids. He works for General Motors, lives in a nice house, goes to church and always has a new car. His youngest son is now in prison for child molestation. They look normal, because to them, there's nothing wrong with what they do. Their 'needs' are all that's important.
My nephew told me that after his dad sodomized him,he told him that ALL men do it, they just don't talk about it. Sick .
My biggest compliment was when he called me a little b!#!#. I love that he hates me.

Seriously, this brings tears to my eyes to read this. How can people do this? I'll never understand it.

I know they don't care about anyone else, I just don't see how anyone can feel that way.

Chicana--That's awful. I'm so sorry you've had to go through that pain. I fully understand your statement, "I love that he hates me". I, too, value the fact that our children's rapist despises me. I think that means that you and I and the other WSers want to protect children and speak the truth.

Thank you for pointing out, again, that molesters don't wear T-shirts identifying themselves. Oh, if only they did....

Chicana--I need to add that the saddest line in your post is, "His youngest son is now in prison for child molestation". Of course, I realize that the young man is responsible for his actions but this is such a common outcome. Taboos are removed, self-esteem is destroyed, spirits are broken. I rail against the son repeating the molestation but I understand it. One of our sons who was raped is in prison for unlawful penetration of a minor (a 16 year old--not a small child, but not legally an adult either).

Our son should have known better. He did know better. I'm sure the same goes for your nephew. I'm so sorry.

IWannaknow--It's pretty clear to me that there's only one really feasible reason that magazine was there AND why it was seized. LE knows all too well about GHB and its illicit use. I'm sure they checked out the medicine cabinets too. Does anyone remember any meds, powders, or supplements being seized?

OK, answered my own question. Arthur is a PBS childrens show. I was thinking of the 1981 Dudley Moore movie. Yuck!

I have this probable cause http://www.fox4kc.com/media/acrobat/2009-11/50599213.pdf for arrest -- has 8 counts in it, filed on Nov.19th...I've read it twice & am not seeing any reference to 'drugging'.....wouldn't be a stretch tho if those little girls were drugged....would make it harder for them to remember whatever awful things were done.

Maybe there's docs we haven't seen yet.

ETA: this probable cause .PDF is for only 2 victims -- so yeah -- there's probably more docs.

Doing a simple google of "Burrell Mohler drugging" gave me results for a few blogs and news articles mentioning drugging, but that was the only place I saw that. I've read the probable cause statements and didn't see it. I would think if LE thought that was the case it would be prominent in the documents.

A couple of things. IWannaknow, I didn't bat an eye when I saw the Arthur tape as I know the Arthur series well. It's based on a very sweet book series. I hadn't thought, though, about the timing. Arthur is much more geared to really young kids, like 3-7. That doesn't fit with the ages of the children in 1996, IIRC. I wonder if this was for some grandkids or if one of the children is delayed. Hmmm. Thanks for bringing that up.

You didn't recognize the Arthur. Well, I had no idea who Jaimee Foxworth was as I don't watch TV. That's what's so cool about WS. Too many sleuths DON'T spoil the broth. They make it richer!!

JM appears to be in a bit of a hurry, huh. Only one with a lawyer doesn't want a prelim....hmmmmmmmm.......none of the others even have representation still and the few family in the court room refused to comment.....hmmmmmmm.

I wonder if David will be allowed to go back to his job at Graceland University while he awaits trial? He's charged with some mighty serious charges against minors and there are most certainly minors on that campus. How about church?

If I were one of the alleged victims, I'd be scared out of my mind that David's gonna walk out of there. I hope those young adults have protection and support.

Back to the Probable Cause. Why would the filing date be Nov. 19, 2009 and yet the media released the statement concerning "drugging and forcibly raping" on Nov. 11, 2009? Notice that in the third to last paragraph, there is a comment about a previous report made in August 2008. Is it possible that the media got hold of whatever is in that report? I just can't figure out how else they'd have any info about drugs. IWannaknow, I just figured out how you came up with your screen name. It's perfect.

It took me two or three posts to finally get the significance of that magazine--but now I get it and there's steam coming out of my ears.
