Whether or not Charlotte Wilkerson aka Auntie Sha-sha was the last person or not to talk to Jessica she is certainly a person of interest.(at least to me) She is quoted as saying,"There was a party going on and she was there," said Chambers' acquaintance Charlotte Wilkerson.Source (link)wbtv.com/story/27589639/first-responder-tries-to-comfort-burning-victim-before-death

Charlotte Wilkerson, a friend of Jessica’s, said she was brought in for questioning after her phone number showed up on Jessica’s phone.
"They took her phone records and I was in there. And she called me Aunty Sha-Sha. And I was in there as Sha-Sha, and I went and talked to them Sunday evening,” Wilkerson said.

I can't imagine anyone running cutouts in this day and age, or a shop that would install them. Back in the day I did enough of them but in todays world with pollution controls, I don't even think they're sold anymore. Those are much louder than any street bike with straight pipes you hear, it's like listening to a Formula one car.

How long would the DNA results take approximately?
Foreign DNA evidence can take weeks or months, depending on the lab and their workload. But those reports are separate from the autopsy. Not sure if that's what you were asking, but just in case.

Well, the DA's office say they have "everything they need" to know what happened to Jessica the night that she died in re: autopsy. That would include, the presence or absence of DNA. I'm assuming days.

Maybe he was hearing the med helicopter. There isn't any mention of where/ when it showed up to transport Jessica.

Thank you! I was wondering about any skin under her nails that may point to her fighting back. Or evidence of a sexual assault. I know those results can take awhile, but didn't know if they would be sped up with FBI involvement. :)

Flatfootjoe,

Would the parents/next of kin be abLE to request those results? Would the info be given to the family or just LE during an active investigation?

I forget what they're called, but there are systems out there where there is a switch in the vehicle that changes the exhaust from going thru the muffler to straight pipes.

They are called "cutouts". No one uses them anymore. That is really old school.

There is a truck across the street from me that shakes the house when he starts it up in the morning, but otherwise, I'd have trouble telling it apart from motorcycles, which seem really loud to me.

"The final results of the autopsy might not be available for about six weeks, Champion said, but officials have what they need to know what happened to the teen before her tragic burning death earlier this month." from the article posted upthread

:gaah:

What could DA Champion, possibly know from the preliminary autopsy report? Imo, the answer should be obvious..

The autopsy will show the cause and manner of her death.

Foreign DNA (not Jessica's) analysis will indicate if a second (third, fourth, fifth) party was involved, and with luck, who the other parties might be.

flatfootjoe, vehicle emission tests are not required in many rural areas..

Mississippi Vehicle Safety Inspections
In Mississippi, your vehicle is not required to pass an emissions test or smog check, but it does need to pass a safety inspection before you can renew its registration.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS) administers the Motor Vehicle Inspection Program to ensure that vehicles remain safe enough to operate on public roadways.

Whether she suffered injuries prior to the fire, broken bones, trauma to organs not related to the fire, sexual assault, gunshot wound, etc., etc.

Took a quick peek on google - they don't seem to be hard to find.

Im looking for a news interview of the woman that was seen at the gas station carrying out bags to customers. Is anyone able to help with that?

Toxicology always seems to take the longest. Many, many samples from the body, huge amount of paper trail, comparison against all drugs(medicine cabinet at home, purse), then illegal, etc., qualitative and quantitative analysis....

It can literally take months. IIRC MS is opening or just recently opened a new crime lab in Jackson and that could play in to timing although I wouldn't expect it to.

Remember autopsy Forensic toxicology testing is much different and involved than say an Emergency Room Clinical toxicology screen/test or an Employment quick screen for illicit drugs.

I've seen them on huge pickups being driven by high school kids - I think it might be a kind of big FU to authority. Maybe what I've seen are not called cutouts, but here is a link to what I've seen. http://www.ehow.com/how_7974799_convert-exhaust-upright-exhaust-stacks.html

And they are NOT calling off any investigations, so perhaps that means an accident has been ruled out. JMO
