PRESS RELEASE October 2, 2019

The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a person who was reported missing from the Laurel Area.

Lori Bray (57), was last seen leaving the Cedar Ridge Casino in Laurel at approximately 12:30 am, Tuesday morning. Her Car was located later that morning near the intersection of Buffalo Trail and Laurel Airport Rd. She has not been seen since. Anyone with information about Lori should call the Sheriff’s Office at 406-256-2929 as soon as possible.

UPDATE: Sheriff asks for help in case of missing Laurel woman

Friends, family, concerned strangers turn out to search for missing Laurel woman

At the search, longtime friend and former co-worker Shannon Plotner waited to get started, and kept Bray’s pit bull Mack on leash.
Plotner was suspicious of Bray’s disappearance because she had seemingly left her two dogs, Mack and Nikki, at home alone. That was entirely unlike her, as Bray typically doted on her two rescued pit bulls; "they were her whole world," she said.

“It’s sad to say that I have no hope that she’s alive,” she said. Plotner described Bray as kind, honest and always eager to help out.

*******

WTF? I guess everyone in Yellowstone County knows what happened, why, and who did it.

The active searches only a day after her disappearance suggest that LE suspects foul play. Which I interpret as LE has a suspect in mind; they knew of a situation with Lori and someone else. IMO.

Facebook (from Occam's post)-
Lori Bray
She worked at the casino according to the first MSM report so she likely wasn't leaving with money she won. According to local News Source "The Laurel Outlook" a man was seen getting into her vehicle with her. Laurel woman missing

She was last seen leaving work at 1230am and then a search was started in the morning? That’s incredible reaction time... I hope the man was visible enough on camera to be identified

She went missing Tuesday morning around 0030, and then the search was coordinated on Wednesday morning around 1000. She'd been missing almost 36 hours.

Is the Casino on Federal land?

Good question. I don't believe so. Here in Montana, casinos are everywhere. I think they're on private land, but don't know if there's something that makes casinos Federal by default or something.

Woman found dead near Laurel

"The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office has announced the discovery of a deceased female in a rural area just outside of Laurel."<snip>

<snip>"Investigators were on scene, but the body has not yet been positively identified. The sheriff’s office will not release any more information until the ID has been made and relatives can be notified."

--------------------

Title of article seems misleading, IMO. Sheriff's office hasn't released ID of the located body yet.

I was pointing out that the article title was changed from earlier, to now state that Lori was found dead.

They didn't change the article text, and may not until an official ID is made. But everyone there knows that it is Lori, IMO.

The article title still says, "Woman found dead near Laurel," but the URL includes "missing".

People have been saying they hope it's not her, and while I feel for them that it would be tragic for her to be deceased, I also know that it would be more horrible for it to be a second victim.

Haha, they changed it again and dropped the “Missing” from the title.

Woman's body found near Laurel leads to homicide investigation

A body found near Laurel Wednesday has led to a homicide investigation, and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning, according to Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder.

The body was found Wednesday by a man riding his ATV in a wooded area near Yard Office Road and Ridge Drive near Laurel, the sheriff said.

Linder said Thursday afternoon that without confirmation from the medical examiner he cannot confirm whether the body found is that of Lori Bray, a 57-year-old woman who has been missing since early Tuesday morning.

The search for Bray has been put on hold since the discovery of the body, Linder said.

Wednesday night, a press release described the body as female.

Images attached. Casino, location of her car when it was found (C), and where a body was found (B).

I would suspect the perp in this homicide is staying at or lives in the trailer park near where the body was found. Probably doesn't have a car, as Lori's car was left within walking distance of the body and trailer park.

Reminds me of the Hania Noelia Aguilar case.
