Actually it does since she made a global comment about any footage during the trip as this was the comment that she was responding to about footage being obtained anywhere along the way:
It's pretty discouraging that the FBI hasn't figured out what happened yet. Someone drove the car from MT to WA, put gas in it, and used her credit card... That person must be on video somewhere
And this was her response about footage from anywhere on the trip:
The gas stations did not have cameras at the pumps. I do know that. So no, they dont. They are doing all they can. It takes time. Forensics, they have to get DNA and fingerprints from myself, my dad, and anyone that was in the car or touched it to rule out DNA. The autopsy takes time to write up. Bullistics from the gun, that takes time. It all takes time. I believe they are working as hard as they can.
If we're going to look at the social media responses she's making, you have to see what she is responding to as she wasn't making a general comment about the article but instead responding to someone's comment in the article about the availability of any footage during the entire trip and she answered that by speaking plural about multiple gas stations.

All we have, is that in that specific response...she is saying the DM picture is not accurate. The timeline is off and the card was used AT THE PUMP and not inside.

We are allowed to disagree, I'm fine with disagreements about people or information. I happen to think she is not lying, and that when she says the card was used at the pump, and there were not cameras there...I believe it.

**Since the other gas station was not asked about specifically, and her response was in regards to Ritzville...I have no formed opinion about what may or may not be known about the other station.

Cousin is rather tall.

The timeline of statements is also important. The first statement was mad, before the information in the second was known.

The wrong information that no footage is available from pumps at the stations she stopped at? The cousin spoke of first-hand knowledge from having been there (or at least alleging to have been there and spoken to people), while the daughter is saying she 'knows' something about gas stations along the route that is contradicted by the FBI taking gas station pump footage from one the places stopped.

I've never seen a Love's gas station without cameras at the pumps. That station is a fairly new one--google street views don't even show it built yet but it is labeled on Google maps. If they don't have cameras at the pumps I am shocked. That is all I'm going to say. I don't think it is at all clear what Rita's daughter was referring to. It's all rumor anyway because it's her post on social media and we're not supposed to be discussing it. When she does an interview then we can discuss what she says. OR if she came here and posted as verified insider we can take her words at face value and not as rumor.

Again, I choose to believe the daughter is being factual. (And the cousin was being weirdly vigilante very quickly.) You do not have to agree. I'm afraid our constant talk about facebook posts could get the thread in trouble. I'm respectfully moving on, just in case.

I am sure the cousin means well, but it likely that she has been misinformed the same was as the Daily Mail was misinformed by a clerk in Ritzville. It seems the cousin has gone off on her own mission without the same kind of liaison with LE/FBI as Rochelle and her dad have.
I tend to trust the daughter's word especially as her and her father seem to be receiving updates and information directly from investigators and these very same investigators eliminated the guy in the Daily Mail's photo as a POI.
Either today or tomorrow I think we'll learn if there is any useful footage from the Exxon in Kingston or from other traffic cameras or CCTV that may have captured part of the car's journey that day.

I didn't disagree with you that the daughter was trying to be factual, what I said was that she was wrong about her facts as evidenced by the FBI taking pump footage.

Bing maps has a more recent street view (post-construction), but I can't see if there are cameras above the pumps...

Apologies if you've already posted a link. Where have you seen the FBI noting they have pump footage specifically?

Maze had called her husband on her cell phone to say that she had been kidnapped but now surveillance cameras in Kingston, Idaho could tell a different story. The Kwik Stop in Kingston is one of at least two places where Maze's credit card was used the day she disappeared. The question is who was seen on surveillance video pumping $25 of gas that afternoon, Maze or someone else?

Kwik Stop employees say they don't know the answer because they never looked at the video. The FBI asked for a specific time frame and the store handed over the footage.

Kwik Stop employees say the footage taken at the gas pumps is no longer in their surveillance system, but the FBI have a copy. If Maze was seen pumping her own gas in that footage it would cast a lot of doubt in her claims she was kidnapped.

The only mention I can find of FBI taking pump footage refers to the EXXON (Kwik Stop) in Kingston...nothing about pump footage in Ritzville...

ETA: Snap! Spanishinquisition :)

For the record and to clarify, I don't believe the daughter's comment on the lack of pump footage was a blanket statement about all locations in this case, just specifically the one in Ritzville where, for some reason LE have been unable to get footage (eg:lack of cameras/broken cameras/not-yet-installed cameras) of the pumping credit card user...

Sorry, I was asking about the Ritzville stop. I should have been more specific.

The daughter said there was no pump footage anywhere on the route "The gas stations did not have cameras at the pumps. I do know that. So no, they dont." She was saying "no they don't" in response to there being any footage along the route "That person must be on video somewhere."

Thanks. I zoomed in and screen shot a picture. At least 2 cameras are visible. I circled them in yellow--It is impossible to tell they are cameras from this street view but this is where the cameras are at Loves gas stations I have been to in the US so I feel strongly these are cameras. The middle pump cameras would be behind those middle posts so we can't see them in this picture.

I wonder if those are cameras, and if they are facing to shoot the front of the store.

I guess we will not know 100% completely, until the FBI gives an update on what they have. (If they do.)

Gas stations here have mirrors that stick out like that, I have never figured out what they are for!

OT: Are the mirrors to see what's coming around the corner/blind spot?

I think the mirrors are for backing up, like if you were finished at a pump and someone was in front of you, so you have to back up.

Maybe! We just have little privately owned gas stations with a few pumps. Nothing like the station pictured. I think because the pumps are prepay only, they don't bother with the cost of pump cameras.

GOOD If there is footage, the Feds have it. jmo
