The answer to your question here is the key to this whole thing, imo. Why WOULD someone want to take her? Money/extortion of family members, sadistic cruelty, or...possibly, this person believes NG herself has something that they want, which could be some kind of delusion. This year's film Bugonia comes to mind. Two cousins kidnapped a biotech CEO because they believed she was an alien intent on destroying humanity. We can't logic our way to that kind of answer because it's not logical.

Also, because the McIsaac case was brought up earlier: he used an imitation gun to take a family of four hostage. That could be the case here.

Revenge or retaliatory, feeling wronged

I am leaning towards 'whoever' didn't actually go in the front door. I think they might have tried, and then moved to the back door to gain access to the home.
LE hasn't said anything. So we don't know....

Sorry if this has been discussed before (man this board moves fast!!!!) but is it a fact that Nancy got home safely after game night, aside from Thomasco saying he drove her? I'm just trying to understand why law enforcement continues to search Annie's house since the crime is said to have taken place at Nancy's house. Doesn't make sense to me.
unless a perp collected some of NG's blood to sprinkle on her doorstep I think we are reasonably certain she did indeed arrive home. JMO

After a couple of minutes of reflection (and distance from the excitement of having any news here), I have very, very low hopes for a breakthrough from the glove. Either it didn't actually come from the perp (as others have said, finding gloves along the road is not at all unusual), or there will be no usable evidence on it. Or both. JMO, I deeply hope I am proven wrong; just my current gut feeling.

NG being picked up by someone to go to the group church gathering was, iirc, a poster surmising that might be the case.

I’ve not seen that confirmed anywhere.

Do you have a link?

Only the link to the original post, which I included in my OP. I included it again, above. As I stated in my post, I said that it had been posted on WS.

Agreed I really think LE is grasping at straws and has no clue where NG could be located. Hence why they need to find the abductor and be able to either retrace their steps or get a confession. JMO
Well stated.

@UsernameRequired ; thanks for the video link !

Keep thinking LE had more to go on than just his mother in law thinking his eyes looked like the person in the security footage ?

Sounds like he's in the clear and maybe his MIL needs to apologize to him and not so much LE who were following up & only doing their job ?
Jmo.
As a delivery driver that by his own admission "might have delivered to her house" his phone probably pinged in the area. I think that's the investigative link then he loosely fits the description so they tracked him. It is very possible he's still on the radar btw. Another rumor was the bitcoin wallet somehow linked to him, but idk. Anything is still in play and I'd be surprised if they're not surveilling him.

NG’s phone and watch were at her house and her devices lost connection with her pacemaker at 2:28am. So she has to have been home until that time.

Criminals that don't tend to get caught and leave little to no trace tend to be professionals, IMO. They have no connection to the victim, and ensure that they don't leave one. In this day and age, they'd also know how to research, navigate, and circumvent the digital world, and perhaps even contributed to its development and/or enforced its security protocols at one time. If they wanted to setup a digital crypto account that is untraceable, they could. If they wanted to spoof an IP and swat an unsuspecting immigrant delivering food 40 miles to the South, they could.

Indeed, they may not just be criminals. They may be agents of some kind and from some place. Either way, the arrogance is palpable.

And the silence, deafening.

JMO.
Sometimes there is just a mixture dumb luck for the criminals and incompetence on the law enforcement. Richard Allen of Delphi evaded capture for five years and darn near got away with it if not for a persistent volunteer.

Moo..I just picked up a rechargeable small but powerful lite you can clip on ..I could put clip part in my mouth..it has a sensor so I can turn on and off with out touching. Dollar store $15.
I am starting to wonder if another journalists ego is part of this....moo
Sounds like a possibility. My husband has a headlight that operates "hands free". Maybe it should just be called touchless though. You can change the brightness level and mode of operation by waving your hand in front of its sensor, but you can't do it too quickly, so he's looking kind of crazy, waving his hand around. You'd think he was trying to shoo a bee away or something. I think the dollar store one might be better.

Another odd thing to me about this is LE doesn't seem to be actually LOOKING for NG (alive or unalive). Like sweeps of homes, fields, etc.
It looks more like they're looking for items, camera footage, information.
That feels off to me. Unless such searches are happening where no media who have knowledge.
But, seems like it would be the priority.
When the term recovery is used, that kind of seals it - especially in written statements from official entities.

And yeah, looking for discarded evidence. Which, 11 days on, yeesh...

Has it been verified that it was a 9 a.m. service because from my understanding there was two different services with two different times (which both included online viewing) like many churches have?
I never saw anything about a 9:00 a.m. mass. The traditional mass is at 10:45 a.m.
