I know that I too read somewhere that the back door was found propped open. This was close to the first mention of it here, confirming. I’m trying to find the actual article I read as well.

I mean, not really... because there are a tremendous amount of assumptions leading up to the kidnapping itself, as well as after the kidnapping. There would likely have to be multiple co-conspirators keeping this a secret from everyone. They would have to know who NG was, where she lived, who she was related to, when she would be home, that she would be alone, that she was not armed, that she had no security system... the list goes on and on. Someone that knows her and is familiar with her routine requires far less assumptions by the very nature of knowing her.

I mean imo it is more straightforward now that there is someone on video in a mask. And occam's razor would say someone who has some familiarity with the home and that an elderly well off lady lived alone. She had staff that took care of the home inside and outside the house, not to mention the recent roof work. All of those people could realistically be familiar enough if they wanted to commit a robbery or take her to the ATM or whatever else their purpose was. There is no leap in logic there - the path is pretty linear to me imo

What I've seen so far from LE and FBI doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Sorry, but the idea that they're playing 4D chess is kind of laughable.
This poor woman might never be found. We've seen enough cold cases here to know that the odds are slim at this point.
You can't search every home and backyard in this large area. She might also have been taken to Mexico. So frustrating and sad.

Out of the blue question, Those gloves everyones talking about, would those gloves be used like in a lab or to handle hot things? Just asking. Moo
No, if BE is right and they are nitrile gloves they are made to protect from chemicals. They aren't heat resistant.
We use them at work, they are similar to the latex gloves medical professionals use, but thicker and less supple so you would have less dexterity.

Plenty of people don’t have DNA in CODIS. I’d venture most people, actually.

Most people are normal, meaning they're not in the .001% of the population that has either paid or unpaid sociopathic proclivities to kidnap and (likely) murder 84 year old disabled women at 2am. I would bet that the vast majority of unpaid ones are in the database, because this isn't where one starts with crime.

It could have been left there by someone (LE, press, YouTuber, etc.) days later and was placed on the rock to make it more visible to whoever left it behind.

Could it be intruder went there to get money from Nancy, supplies backpack to tie her hands and gag her. Was going to take her to an ATM and out of fear she says, “I don’t have money but my daughter does.”

This guy doesn’t seem all that bright, took a couple of days to learn about Bitcoin and to write a letter.

I feel some relief that her medicine and equipment was being looked for in the search last night.

Do you have a link for “her medicine and equipment was being looked for last night”?

That's what I'm concerned about. Is it still there? Where is it from? Who left it there, and when?

Has something been stated that the internet was disabled?
All I have heard was that the pacemaker lost contact with the phone/watch. I haven't heard anything about the internet.

How do you explain the Harvey Levin Interview about whats in the 'ransom letter'? He discusses items only the 'kidnapper' would know?

IMO, paid fluff distraction

I don't think anyone has talked about the rope the criminal picks up ,in the video. Bends down on right side of entrance , can plainly see it's a rope.Or has that been mentioned ?

  • #23,255
If this were an inside job involving family, and the ransom is an unrelated opportunist, why take her off the property? Could take years to have someone declared dead and get inheritance if that’s motive. If the ransom is related why are they still holding out when the family said they would pay? Nothing makes sense… MOO

Did anyone else notice that in the snapshots of the suspect, one of them he does not have the gun and backpack on him. Are there 2 separate people wearing the same clothing? Or is that a photo of him captured after committing the crime..? Walking back to the house after using the gun and items in the backpack, to remove the camera?

The shrub pulling made me think “gardener/landscaper”.

Amateur opinion and speculation only

I have to disagree. Most gardeners would by habit pull from the bottom of the stem in order to get the root out.

The masked man simply pulls off a few leaves. He seems to struggle to bend down too. He certainly doesn’t do it regularly.

Stretcher?

Cheap and easily available in shops.

View attachment 644015
How would they get her away from her property on foot with a stretcher? They can't walk down the street without risking detection even in the middle of the night. I understand the lots are large and hers wouldn't have been captured on the ring cameras of neighbors, but they'd have been caught on some camera if they tried to move her any distance.

This would work if they were moving her into the yard, but how would they get her out of the area?

Yeah, that used to happen when I lived in a condo complex: Gloves, jackets, etc would be left near the group mailboxes so people could see they had lost them.

I'd say it belongs to someone from the press.

BBM

But they didn't. Instead, they dress up in a ridiculous outfit, monkey with some lantana for ultimately no real reason, and then theoretically kidnap her and hold her for ransom, but don't even send the ransom note until quite a while later. And the ransom note that's sent is sent to two different news agencies days apart. Someone wanting to commit strong-arm robbery against an old lady is not going through this amount of trouble and effort, least of all ending it with insane ransom demands.
