Good point. Bet he's not which is why they are having tracking problems.
Right, it doesn't seem likely that he's just waiting around to be arrested.

Obviously if it was SIL in photos, they would have been identified at this point by family and LE. I don’t understand why anyone would think it’s possible someone so close to the case would be missed at this point.
Thats not obvious at all, just because no one has said publicly they think its SIL, but that doesn't mean privately that's what they think.

Sorry, I'm trying to catch up and find the article where it says a glove was found inside the home as some have said on here. Can anyone direct me please? This is really surprising to me if it wasn't found when her house was processed the first time

EDIT: Might I suggest if you need media link, go to first post, first page of this thread or:

I totally relate to not keeping up with the pace of this main thread, we are all having this challenge. It’s more efficient to go to this media thread than ask people to repost. OMO.

It's an excellent sketch. It will get results. It should be easy too as I'm sure he's shaved his head and facial hair by now. Meaning, that obvious change should make it easier for people surrounding him to notice.

Amateur opinion and speculation
That sketch is worthless imo, It’s the equivalent of using AI

Maybe Walmart need to have a dedicated crime aisle.
Under the circumstances not funny at all. But otherwise, very funny. : )
It may just be that Walmart contributes significantly to solving this horrific case.
What has our country become when 84 year old Grandma's can't leave out their lives safely and in peace...

Amateur opinion and speculation

I don't believe Savannah would protect anyone who hurt her mom.

Do we have a media thread for this case? I searched and can’t find one — thought we did.

There is definitely one.

I know we laugh about the Lantana moment but if you can forget it being pretty plant life there’s something a bit Rambo about grabbing whatever is there to use as a tool. (We first thought he was just blocking the camera with flowers, which was silly.) Military experience? Boy Scouts?
Landscaper?

Also, it appears that the Sheriff has decided to respond to the lab dust-up. He essentially said it was b.s. but it sounded like the glove/s were the ones found quite a distance from the house-were any gloves in the house sent for testing? Game of telephone.

Some light relief...another camera stealing thief in Tucson a few years ago, but this one is furry 😅

I'm catching up on this.. is there any suggestion of the suspect's motive? It has to be more involved than just money.

Hostage taking. Choice of victim being a national TV personality's elderly mother
-- Seems to signal a desire for attention/wanting fame (infamy). Maybe frequently watches morning television shows. Not great at long-term planning/ short term or immediate plans figure more strongly

Attacking an elderly woman with significant health issues, at night while she's most likely asleep and at her most vulnerable
-- Not confident in his physical strength or abilities

Flashlight in mouth, black nitrile gloves,
-- Someone who isn't afraid of germs but works with his hands and often gets them dirty.

Timing of attack, newish clean clothes and shoes (no stains or holes), ransom demands, and ability to transmit online messages
-- Probably currently unemployed, but being kept afloat by mooching off someone else's money. Caretaker?

Wearing sneakers, strange crouching gate, and overall physique
-- This person likely has chronic pain issues. Might be out of work due to disability. Back problems.

View attachment 644471I think it’s SIL. The outline around the eyes on the mask is covering the top portion of the eyebrows. But you can see that the brows are nearly a unibrow. You can also see the shape of the head is very similar. The eyes are spaced apart the same. And the gray beard hairs are sticking out of the mask, indicating this is a long, full beard. You can also see the wrinkles under the eye indicating this is not a young man.
TC has a negative canthal tilt and the masked man has a positive tilt. They're not the same person.

They claim she is a retired police composite sketch artist who holds the Guinness world record for accuracy/arrests. Time will tell.

Thanks for the heads up but I couldn't find the article, I'm aware of the other thread. That's why I asked for help

I hope they finally picked up Nancy's doormat

Imagine the potential DNA, the evidence they could get

And how many feet now have trampled on it!

Forgive me if this has already been deduced, but this thread is moving at warp speed and so can’t read every post. In the photo of the doorstep the lantana is lying on top of the blood. So this guy was there after her removal?

  • #26,179
Does anyone know who dropped her off, and why so late? I wonder if it was a special celebration. Usually elderly people don’t stay up that late.
Without heart meds… I fear the worst… kidnapper has meds? I doubt it… she is now in the after life .. I am afraid… it should be a search for recovery now…. Not rescue…

I don't believe that the ransom sender and this guy are the same person. You're talking about someone operating on an advanced level on the one hand, and some guy seemingly out of his depth on the other.
Probably right.

On the other hand, I can imagine someone who's intellectually capable and can write well (the ransom notes have been described as well written) being confident enough to think he could carry out something like this, and then doing so without experience, feeling that he could deal with any obstacles that come up. That could be what we're seeing in the video. (I don't think I'll be sure of the true purpose of the lantana ritual until we hear from LE or the perp.)
