Forgive me if this has already been deduced, but this thread is moving at warp speed and so can’t read every post. In the photo of the doorstep the lantana is lying on top of the blood. So this guy was there after her removal?
The plant matter could easily have been moved by people walking all over the area. Or possibly by the wind.

I suspect most who point fingers at SIL are suggesting that he came first (to drop off Nancy) and probably had no reason to use the front door. (For example, the back door was found open.)

Then must have left NG incapacitated (on her bed perhaps) before driving back to his house where they had their game night.

Then about 2:00 AM the masked intruder (probably hired by SIL) arrived to remove poor incapacitated NG from her home. JMO

SIL's & Annie's property was searched on Feb. 7.

I took screenshots from the January 23rd doorbell cam in Tucson that was linked to a few posts ago. Who knows if it’s related, but the guy really could match the NG abductor images quite well. I hope he’s being ruled in or out.
When was this posted on ring neighbors? Maybe he saw it and then stared wearing a mask? IMO His torso really looks similar to lantana man. Seems tall though

I don't think so, because the blood isn't present in the doorbell camera video .
The Lantana looks very dry and it may have been blown around by the wind, and trodden on by family members / police / reporters, at any time after the blood landed.

The puzzling thing to me is why the blood doesn't appear to have been trodden on or smeared, either by nancy or the assailant.

And also, why the blood doesn’t continue. There’s no trail. In either direction. It’s literally just in that one spot. So puzzling!

As it should. In hindsight this is lunacy
Wow. I’m so tired of this Texas heat never thought I’d want to live in Arizona or any place hot — but Tucson looks beautiful. Poor Savannah — please — whoever has her mom or knows where she is — please return her or tell where she is.

It was posted on the 23rd; I found the initial screenshot of the post on X. Am I allowed to post that here?

She has lived in that home since the kids were young (at least) To you, it’s sketchy, to her, it would have been normal. I grew up in a rural area. I feel more comfortable there than in the suburbs at night. She probably (IMO) let it expire because she never had the need to look at it, so didn’t see the point of it. Just sharing a different point of view. My elderly mother lived in that rural home, alone. She was often asked by city folk if she felt safe there, especially at night. Her response was always, “of course” MOO
NG's neighborhood is a very safe neighborhood. I know many older single people living in similar neighborhoods in Tucson and everybody feels safe. JMO

I remember some brief discussion about a large ring being possibly identified in the camera footage. Did that ever get traction or any sort of real media attention?
I haven’t seen anything in MSM only the social media stuff with this Jason guy, he has a huge ring on that hand. I hope someone can find a legitimate source and post it here.

The blood continues off the porch. There was video posted much earlier that showed how far it went.

There are 2 sides to every story. While the Sheriff certainly has his own issues, it seems that whoever the FBI person, is who is complaining about the Sheriff and working hard to be act superior to the Sheriff, has their own issues.

Pima County and the Sheriff of Pima County has jurisdiction in this case. Sheriff wanted to use the same lab that they have been using to process the other evidence so it would all be centralized. FBI person wanted to use their labs. Sheriff gets to go with what he believes is best.

Neither this FBI person or the Sheriff are without fault, but there are many competent people from both sides working on the case. JMO
Looking at how some of this investigation has been conducted ,I would say that from day I the Sheriff was wilfully neglectful in how he failed to collect evidence and seal and guard Nancy's house.
This photo says everything. The door mat has not even been removed for testing .

I think all LE has done a very poor job, the processing of NG home the primary crime scene has been woeful, everybody and there dog has been able to wander onto her property at will since she has been missing, sporadic searching continues to go on days later, when one search done correctly should have been done immediately, including closing all roads, searching all properties near to her home, not having a professional media spokesperson, who is the point of contact for the media and only they give out information, every time they give a new press conference they confuse the waters more, there have been many more missteps along the way and I have been shocked at how incompetent they appear to be

This is from 2018
Not relevant
OK. Schactman stepped down in 2021. Please provide a source indicating they have changed that mission statement at any point in the last five years.

Yes. Porch to driveway where she was placed into a vehicle, presumably. JMO

There are some images of him floating around when he has removed the glasses! And the one of his hand with the large ring.

Edit - not him floating around, the images 😂
That made me laugh! But then nothing would surprise me in this case...he will now be known as floating neighbour man 😅

I recall it, too, but don't know.

Pardon the interruption. It has been a while since I've posted and I haven't read all the pages of this thread, but I have thought from the beginning that this was a burglary gone wrong and that is just coincidence that Savannah Guthrie is involved at all.

I suspect Nancy Guthrie walked in on a burglary in progress when she was dropped off by her family and it escalated into violence or got out of hand.

I have perused some of the comments on this thread and I am with the group who feel this investigation has been lacking in certain areas, to be nice.

All of this my own personal opinion but I have been following this case with some interest and I knew I would find others at Websleuths.

A woman ,who has been identified, ordered the pizza as a kind gesture for one of the people reporting live. I saw it live as it happened .
It was a kind gesture I agree, but the delivery driver should have never been allowed to get to the actual front door. This CS has been loosely protected (being kind) from the start IMO.

LE should have known it was likely a CS from the jump, because Nancy was reported missing, didn't show up to a usual Sunday meetup with friends, and wasn't answering her cell phone. Then there was a blood trail. Even if they thought Nancy may have wandered off, LE is trained to treat the scene as a potential crime scene until disproven.

Can someone recall discussion about track marks at the front of Nancy's home? I'm trying to find it in the thread, I think around the time someone brought up a wheelchair (which we are pretty certain Nancy wasn't using).

Could those marks be from a suitcase - maybe one of her suitcases is missing? Though still seems odd considering this with the blood trail given its likely she sneezed or coughed up that blood
LE has now had a lot of vehicles on NG's driveways. Hopefully careful photos were taken on the first few days of this investigations. Track marks that look like a suitcase or wheelchair could be interesting, even though the marks could have been there from weeks before. JMO
