AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

it's interesting that they are leaving that gap from 2:28 to 11:56 since it's been reported that church members supposedly got in touch with family around 11....

They mentioned the exact time the garage door closed, but not the time the phone call was made to alert family. It is a notable omission

Knowing she took Uber (to her daughter's house, but that also seems to indicate she used it in general) is useful information.

Not accusing that particular Uber driver, but seems like there could've been many people who recognized Nancy lived alone and was vulnerable. 84 year old woman living on her own in a somewhat secluded neighborhood. Of course that's completely normal, but also something a predator could take advantage of. 😞

Is it common to put up billboards across the country? Especially considering all the publicity this case already has. Does this mean they probably don’t suspect the SIL?

But still, if camera is off line at 1:47, what detected movement at 2:12??
I’m wondering the same thing. Different Nest camera somewhere else inside or outside the house?

I’m probably just misunderstanding how the tech works but if a camera is offline then how did it detect movement?
It may be a different camera. We have a ring doorbell and four other cameras on our home. My husband is paranoid. 🤣

The longer this goes on, the likelihood of it being random increases. The people closest to NG are being scrutinized sooo intensely. The best and brightest minds, the most current tech, huge manpower… it’s being devoted to this case. They will find the person responsible but it might take some time to hone in on the right person. They are pouring over huge amounts of data and information right now.

IMO.
I actually disagree. LE hold cards close to their chests in investigations, and they haven't ruled anyone out yet. They are obviously looking into the ransom angle, and the family doesn't want to leave any stone unturned, but the longer it goes on with no proof of life, the less likely someone is trying to receive ransom.

Assuming the camera app was on Nancy’s phone, which was found in the house. So they could see the notifications but after 3 hours the footage would not be there to view? Am I getting that right? When my FIL was alive and living alone (at 91!), he had Blink cameras inside and out, with no subscription. Three of us had the app, and notifications came to all of us.

MOO FBI seems to confirm that NG 's apple watch is the thing that the ransomer knew was left behind. Broken floodlight, anyone could see. But her watch? That was inside. That alone IMO gives great weight to the ransom letter's credibility.

2 minutes is a long time to have a garage door open before closing if you are walking in.

Let's assume this is a rounding error and it is closer to 1 minute 31 seconds to round it up.

Regardless, you raise it and walk to the control near the interior door and that is only like 20 to 30 seconds.

Did the family stay for that minute until she closed the door? Or did they drop her off in the driveway then go on about their business. I doubt that.

All of this is wondering if the perpetrator gained access to the house thru the open garage or if access was much later in the early morning when the other activities happened?

In a normal kidnapping case, there would be contact made by now - from the FBI agent. Interesting

I had same thought. Making me wonder where the original info came from regarding someone from church contacting family. Was it in the original LE missing person release, or was it reported to the media from family?

in this case, I think whoever sent it, took extra steps to not be found or traced.

They have had at least 3 days now, and apparently they don't know who sent that one yet.

I would be concerned if there is a deadline in it, if it was my family.

I think to have taken the body gives a feeling of power to the evil doer who did this. Still feels like someone in the family is connected to something/someone bad. There are lots of well known people so i agree with a previous poster, why the Guthrie family? Would love to be a fly on the wall behind the scenes. Jmo

have you eliminated the son in law? we are actively looking into everyone. it would be irresponsible not to. everyone is still a suspect. uber driver, gardener, etc.
Bbm.
Sorry wasn't able to listen.
Who asked the question in bolded ?
Tia.
It sounds like no one at all is ruled out yet.

One deadline in ransom demand had a deadline of 5pm today. there is a second one given but FBI speaker doesn't have that information with him right now.

One deadline is 5 o'clock today.

They should ask if they plan to pay the ransom over BTC or whatever before the 5pm deadline (the value of which is plummeting as we speak, lol)

they are trying real hard to look dumb here

Interesting...they won't confirm who drove her home or who was the last to see her alive. Just "family member."

"We're gonna go with family" (who brought her home Saturday night) per Sheriff.
