What are people’s thoughts on the towing of Nancy’s car from the garage? Do they think she actually used the car that night? They took it when they came back in some sort of renewed search, but I’m struggling to put together what that might mean.

Tossing the idea out there that NG took an uber because her car, for some reason, was not at home that day. And, later that night it was returned. ??

If it was perhaps over money, say they were taking money from an account of hers, and she found out confronted them, or anything like that, and say the SIL did something, if AG had no part in it, wouldn't she have called 911?

If she was afraid that she would end up being a victim herself, even if she got herself, and if they have a child, etc., out of the house at some point, wouldn't she have contacted the police? And isn't the fact that she did not contact the police if things got out of hand in that house proof that she was part of it?

People have noted that the holding hands with the sister in the latest video is not really holding hands. That body language speaks volumes. I don't know if she is still having to put on a façade pretending that she believes her sister had no part in this to try to get information, or to try to get cooperation to get whoever sent the emails/notes.

Another tidbit that AB reported was that the family was considering suing AB for the leak about SIL. I haven't read anything about that since and don't know if the family includes SG. This is my recollection. JMO

If Nancy regularly went to AG and SIL home on a Friday could this faction put listening and tracking devices in their home and on their vehicles to see when Nancy arrived and when she left and when BIL arrived home after dropping off . They would want to make sure that BIL didn't return within a few minutes if say Nancy had forgotten something in the car

I personally can't see BIL and AG thinking they could get away with this and even if they never planned on touching the bitcoin and it was only a ruse . 6 million is very tempting to not ever touch especially if your net worth is not in that ball park .

What if you are SIL and you get away with it and in 10 years move back to Italy where you are from and retire on said bitcoin?

LE know exactly where NG was through her cellphone and apple watch due to cell towers and router connections. They also know the pacemaker was connected to the watch until around 2 am when it went out of bluetooth range. Whatever happened, it happened after 2 am and LE knows if NG was at home or not.

I was just watching the Aileen Wuornos documentary. Her partner was caught up during the crimes and was the one who encouraged Aileen to confess in the end. I think we underestimate how hard it can be for the female partners of those who do the unthinkable. There was also an extremely high profile case in my country where a female partner of a double child killer was done for perverting the course of justice for providing an alibi to police about her partner.

I was watching an interview with Greg Yovane a former hostage negotiator and he said “the technology today, that’s going on [bitcoin/untraceable emails], is hindering investigations because it’s so advanced. It’s making it difficult.” and that just made me so angry.

I get that they want to nab the perpetrators. We all want the bad actors arrested and to pay for their crimes, but that can be worked on AFTER the safe return of the kidnapped person. IMO, I would be so angry at the FBI putting more emphasis on identifying the kidnappers and locating them than rescuing my loved one. If I had means to pay and they thought there was even a shred of validity to the ransom note, I’d pay immediately. I get that they also tend to think that if you pay the kidnappers will just take the money and kill the person anyway, but there’s a chance that they’re not wanting to commit murder and are only after money which is what I believe in this case. Now too much time has passed because they were trying to solve the kidnapping rather than resolve it, and IMO they’ve obviously been told that Nancy is no longer alive but if they pay still they can have her body back.

Uggg. I’m heartbroken and angry.

What is the rule you refer to? And I agree, MSM are reporting basic minimum facts. For example, reporting on the latest Instagram video but not really providing any comment on what can be inferred reading between the lines.

I see what you were saying, but I cannot see that angle. I cannot imagine in 1 million years if your spouse does something like that, you know you are going to be presumed part of it, that you don't distance yourself. I think just the opposite. I cannot imagine in 1 million years that if that went down at my home with my spouse, that I would not be coming up with something to plausibly claim my innocence. And the fact that she did not contact the police, to me, would speak volumes on her involvement and trying to come up with maybe the ransom thing or something to try to clean up IMO.

It also would make me wonder more about her potentially being the impetus for it. In other words, if the husband went off in anger and did something, wouldn't he try to protect his wife to try to distance herself from it and come up with something to make it look like she had no part of it? Instead a kidnapping scenario?

I agree the domestic gone wrong is a plausible scenario. But the ransom cover up theory is still too sophisticated for someone with AG's profile. How would they be engaging in this while under heavy scrutiny of LE? If there is another party involved, this increases the likelihood of SIL / AG being found out. Statistically, the more people required to enforce a "cover up" the more probable it becomes of the whole thing collapsing.

Agreed that the hard part would be the engaging. But are they really under that much scrutiny? Are they really having all their comms monitored? We're talking about two emails, one sent early on when Nanos was bungling things on his own. Maybe now that the FBI got involved, still, maybe not.

It's also more likely someone else completely unrelated is scamming the whole "ransom" note and they're just playing along. Such opportunistic attempts historically came in with every high profile kidnapping cases (going back to the 1931 Lindbergh baby case) and it today's AI deepfake world such scams are not uncommon. The whole "ransom" angle is very thin as many experts have pointed out, the proof is very circumstantial and hasn't been followed up with any more "proof:' as far as we know. It's basically a crap shoot seeing if they'll deposit bitcoin in a hard to trace scenario (and we already had one fraud arrested in this case).

It does seem that there are different moving parts in this case (as bolstered by the investigation at AG's house).

Not sure the validity of this but I've heard it mentioned that if they are investigating a kidnapping - FBI is the lead. If they are investigating a homicide - Police/Sheriff's Dept. is the lead.

In actuality - The local law inforcement is leading the investigation with the FBI offering any resources and assistance local LE needs.

Ok, I get this but wouldn't FBI be overseeing what was going on to ensure a seal tight case? Wouldn't FBI personnel accompany local LE? That is why I'm under the impression FBI is in charge and sheriff's office is doing their own thing.

First and foremost - I think everyone's ideas, questions, and theories are just as valid as everyone else's. I wrote a whole theory that I know includes some wild speculation and questionable assumptions. But I want to challenge some of the things I'm reading, not to say anyone is wrong, but to help shape my own ideas better.
1) I'm reading theories where SG is the reason for what happened. Some of these theories seem centered around SG being pulled off the Olympics coverage, retaliation for her political statements, and/or terrorist or foreign actors. In my thinking, none of that makes sense. There are journalists and public figures with far more "offensive" statements who also cover major global events - why wouldn't they be targeted? Wouldn't there be a public statement by the group, person, organization responsible if this was done to "punish" SG for some reason?
2) Absolving the SIL because NG was over at his house for dinner. I'm not sure that means anything. There are plenty of cases where otherwise wholesome things happen just before a violent crime is committed by one of the participants. I also think to suicides where the person was "happy and playing with his son" before taking their own life hours later. So I'm not sure having dinner with NG equals SIL not being involved.
3) Evidence collection at AG house and garage. I'm under the impression they found evidence that connects someone at the house with the kidnapping - the garage being where DNA from whoever getting out of the car and walking through the garage, items used to plan or assist in the kidnapping, etc. Could the large rolled up item be a blueprint of AG house to show any hidden crawl spaces, septic tanks, etc? I'm not so sure a body part was mailed (easily tracked as a package isn't that easy to just drop off without some camera or witness coverage and just packaging it to avoid smell, leaking of fluids, etc).
4) Teens involved as Bitcoin was the ransom medium. Yes - but: SIL is a high school teacher. I think about a friend of mine who doesn't have kids - shes's a 2nd grade teacher and she is well versed in all the shows that age group watches. It wouldn't be a stretch to believe a high school teacher is very well versed in bitcoin and the "assumption" that it is a secure and anonymous way to be paid.
5) CG being stoic because of his military background. Yes, I see where this is coming from. I'm also a military veteran - but I would say for myself and anyone else I know - being emotionless with my own mother, kids, etc just wouldn't be a thing. I've also seen combat vets now in LE break down at crime scenes involving things that are too close to home. I don't see CM as being stoic in these videos. I see him being pissed off and trying to hide it. I see a man whose eyes are telling the abductor "I know who you are and I'll f**king kill you if I get my hands on you" - I'd be curious about the relationship between CM and the SIL.
6) Some food for thought: Has anyone seen ANY pictures posted with NG and the SIL? Or CG and the SIL? Do we have any evidence that the SIL was "part of the family" or close to CG or SG? Even a pic with the SIL face blurred and NG, SG, or CG in the pic as well? I haven't and I think there is a reason for that.

Good point. I'm not sure what state law provides for covert surveillance. I would have assumed SIL and AG are under covert surveillance if legally permitted.

I don't find it hard to believe that someone in the family is involved, but I do think the most likely scenario for that involves some sort of unintentional violence or escalation, followed by a messy cover-up.

I just can't reconcile how someone could sit with their distraught family for a week and allow things to continue to spiral. Unless someone is completely psychopathic, I'd think they would be breaking down and giving up the ruse.

Clearly there's love between the siblings. I could forgive my sibling for an accident and poorly thought-out cover up that spiraled out of control. I could not forgive my sibling for putting me through this week+ of torture, humiliation, and false hope.

Did anyone read in the news this morning thst there was focus around a silver briefcase at AG home? I guess LE was taking photos of this silver briefcase. What was inside i am curious? Was it something mailed as proof of life? A wedding ring, body part? Maybe this was the kidnapper way to communicate so they aren't tracked digitally??

In one of the videos released last night by a reporter, they showed a deputy entering the house with what was described as a silver briefcase. At least one person here commented that it looked larger that a standard briefcase and suggested it might be a folding table.

I think the kidnappers wanted to get something out of the car, like a walker or a refilled prescription so they could keep Nancy comfortable/safe. So I think LE took the car to fingerprint it/test it for touch DNA.
