AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

They were not probing a septic tank with no mask or gloves. It had to be some type of cistern/water tank. I think they are going back and researching the property because they don't want to miss anything.
I agree. They would have a septic waste company pump truck do this. I’ve observed my friends septic being pumped. It’s hazardous waste.

AB crossed the line revealing what she did - when she did.
Yes, agree she crossed a line... but with her "integrity" it does not surprise me -
The BIGGER line crossed IMO is by the "leaker", the person involved with the investigation feeding her the information- That person knows she is reporting the info -
So what's the leaker's end game ?
The leaker is said by AB to be at the highest level -

Why is everyone so hung up on money and financial worth of the family? It really sounds mercenary. IMO, it's been a week and only last night did they say "we will pay". They know no more now than theu did when she disappeared and no money has changed hands and 530 tomorrow is a deadline. Playing games as to if the ransom demand is real or not, is risky business. They waited too long. IMO, this woman will not be recovered alive. Too much BS..red herrings like the AB story about TC, and wayyyy too much time wasted. Why would you barter for your mother's life? JMO.. I am getting disgusted with the obsession as to who is worth what and who pays. You can always make more money but you cant make more time. MOO
Kidnapping usually involves a request for a monetary ransom. I think that's why there is a financial focus. And, if this truly is a legit Kidnapping, premeditated, then they knew the family (i.e. SG) had the means to pay it. Kidnappers don't go to a run-down trailer park to take some for ransom! 😄

Isn't TC a middle school teacher? School personnel would know whether or not he was at school last week.
Surely he would have been on emergency leave because his MIL was missing regardless of anything else

I'm chatting with my best friend right now because her and I always get into these types of cases together. She is a defense attoryeny in Seattle. This was her thoughts and she made some good points especially about knowing about Nancy's pacemaker being connected to the watch!

How do we know that the perpetrator knew about the pacemaker? Wasn’t sure if I missed something.

They cut the doorbell camera but it seems there was at least one more camera they weren’t aware of.

If warrants are being served, then they should be docketed somewhere, even if it’s under seal.
Search warrants are generally not immediately put on public record; they are typically kept confidential while the investigation is active and the search is being executed to prevent the destruction of evidence
. While warrants become public record after they are served, they can be sealed by a judge to protect ongoing investigations or privacy.
Key Details Regarding Search Warrant Records:
  • Timing of Disclosure: Warrants usually become available for public inspection only after they have been executed (served) and, often, only after charges have been filed.
  • Sealed Warrants: Courts can seal affidavits and warrants, keeping them out of the public domain, particularly if the information within them could compromise an investigation.
  • Accessing Records: Once no longer sealed, search warrants, including supporting affidavits, become part of the court record.
  • Warrant vs. Affidavit: While the warrant itself might be public, the supporting affidavit (which outlines the probable cause) is sometimes sealed for a longer period.
In summary, they are rarely immediately public, as keeping them secret is often necessary for the initial phase of a criminal investigation. MOO

First, to me, the goings on at AG’s house last night legitimizes the thoughts that SIL is a suspect. We don’t really know why but something early on caused LE to look at him and they still are.
Second, unless this is the biggest ruse ever by LE, there is someone actually communicating with the family about a ransom.
1 + 1 should equal 1 in this case, yet it seems like 1 + 1 equals 2 separate things right now.
I am so confused.

It is reported that neighbors near AG home were asked for security camera footage but they don't have cameras. I find that interesting.....expect that near NG but must want to confirm coming and going at AG home.

Regarding the Uber, I don't find it strange. My elderly neighbor (93) uses Uber even though she has a son a few blocks away and a 40-something grandson nearby. She gave up driving last year and loves to order Ubers.

It could be that AG and TC were running errands, working out or whatever right up to the time of the dinner, and NG said "Oh don't worry I'll just grab an Uber over."

I wonder if AG or TC have a garage-door opener for NG's house in their car, to make it easier to go in and out. Most garage door units come with multiple clickers. Or, the control pads attached to the frame of the door. Anyone with the code could get in.

Has there been an explanation as to why the vigil for NG was held at a different church? This article points out that zoom attendees had to register for the online services at the church she regularly attended, and so anyone with access could know if NG had attended last Sunday.

"A source speaking to the Daily Mail revealed that Nancy Guthrie had not physically attended St Andrew's Presbyterian Church since the Covid-19 pandemic began, choosing instead to participate in worship "online."

The church, where Nancy had been a congregant for 30 years, conducts three Sunday service Zoom sessions each week. Yet, despite the source's claims, Irish Star US has learned that participants are required to register using their full names to access the virtual gatherings.

This means anyone with access to the attendance records could have verified whether the 84-year-old was present. Nevertheless, the unnamed source spoke warmly of Nancy, stating, "It's a big church, and we know everyone. Nancy is known and loved here and in the whole community. She was a faithful member here for so long, just a lovely person."

Interestingly, although Nancy had belonged to St Andrew's Presbyterian Church for 30 years, her memorial vigil took place at a different location. On February 4, parishioners and supporters gathered at Saint Philip's in the Hills, the church attended by Nancy's daughter, Annie."
Corrected. NG attended a Presbyterian church. Her daughter attended an Episcopal church. I still don't think it odd to have a service at the church the daughter attends.

Still seems insensitive to me. And I have no idea if they were both cooking or grilling and too busy to assist her by picking her up. It wouldn't take them that long to manage picking her up. JMOO
I get your point. I would never do that to my parents, but everyone is different. If they had been drinking, it was a wise choice of course.
However, no mention of alcohol, so IDK.

LE could very well stop speculation about the SIL...but they aren't. They aren't clearing anyone in the family (though, I assume Savannah was in NY but haven't looked that up). To me, thats the biggest sign of all.

I know nothing about these tanks. There was a truck or trailer at the NG home a few days ago. Some thought it was to drain the tank, others thought it could be a power washer set-up. Do we know what happened with that? Also, the opening is very large.
That's not a septic tank in BE's post.

Septic/well records that were pulled for Nancy's home. They have no record of a well and state they are connected to the City of Tucson water services. For septic it looks like they had a smaller septic tank that caused drain field failure back in 1991, so they then had 1,000 gallon septic tank installed. Here is the map portion of the approved permitting paperwork if anyone is curious.

I don’t think the perp could care less what we are thinking or posting. They have their hands full right now.

Amateur opinion and speculation only
Have we ever had actual perps sign up and come in and converse, of course not letting us know they are the perp. Do they ever sign up and come in asking questions like trying to use this place to help them hide things or escape, like with questions that gave them away?

In regards to so many saying the search at AG house last night confirms he is/they are suspects, surely for the sake of a future trial of anyone else, LE would want to be able to say, "We searched the SIL's house repeatedly, luminoled it, processed their vehicles, etc. and found absolutely no evidence they were involved. And we have pictures of the luminol tests to prove there's no blood there!" At this point, if SIL hasn't been arrested after all that scrutiny, it makes me think he's less likely to have been involved rather than more.

I don't know.

With each day that passes, does it not become less likely the case will ever be solved?

Aren't the first few days sort of critical in missing person cases? And a week with nothing is not a great sign?

I’m not sure they could do that IF an arrest i actually made. But they can “detain” for a certain period of time before arresting and I don’t think that has to be released and while I don’t know all the rules about such things i do know that sometimes they don’t want to make the arrest too early because then they only have a certain amount of time for a defendant to go before a judge - I guess to consider bail or something - and they like to have all their ducks in a row before they reach that point.
You can detain, but in most jurisdictions there's a 72 hour window where "detained on suspicion of XYZ" has to ultimately end in release or an arrest & arraignment before a judge.

not an expert/not a professional/all my opinion, speculation, etc etc
