Oh God..why did he need to report that? So cringy political..I would guess she didn't expect that to be a headline. What did he do or could he do? Doesnt look like anything....... On another note, someone on Fox was complaining that people go missing every day..and they dont get this kind of media attention. This case is about to slip off the radar, imo. They also just mentioned on Fox it could be a cartel kidnapping.
Need to post links instead of so-and-so reported xyz

I don’t mean this in the wrong way, but who was looking for Nancy being on a livestream church service. I understand that friends might look for each other in person, maybe to sit together or go to coffee after. Is it the same for virtual church?

And I wonder why Nancy wasn’t going to church in person. The fellowship and the feeling of togethership (especially during hymns) is something that many people especially enjoy. Did she miss it?

Was she avoiding anyone?
My mother-in-law started doing virtual mass during Covid and she never went back to church again. She would have been about the same age as Nancy at the beginning of Covid.

Why Nancy's? Did they mean Annie's? Or they mean security for Nancy's residence?
Since it’s a crime scene and people probably keep trying to get in there and keep trying to trespass and get exclusive footage. I’m guessing this is why

You are so on the ball with number 6). MK is one of the worst offenders I have seen online with this story. As someone who is a former colleague of SG, she has lacked all common decency and respect in the name of clicks and revenue. She should be totally ashamed.

FYI we need to use initials when referring to family members.
What exactly has she done other than report on the story? I've listened to her podcasts this week and found nothing objectionable. Her guests offerred good insights. JMO.

Without that churchgoer call ..we may still not know she was kidnapped
The issue I am currently having is that the most critical chunk of the timeline depends almost solely on AG and TC. We're currently having to assume LE was able to verify who from church called and exactly when. And of course, any confirmation that they were home during the critical hours.

I thought the cartels were a possibility from the beginning.
But who the heck knows? This case is a deep mystery.

Is that typical for someone of that executive-level seniority to be involved in the case? Unless there is something affecting national security or something much bigger we are not aware of, with respect it seems unusual for executive intervention for what may simply be kidnapping or unaliving by someone known by NG. I may be completely wrong as I do not live in the USA, and understand it may simply be because of the media attention.
Just for show and most likely not 'pre planned'. IMO

Oh, I see your point - as in the perp being written out of the will/trust 👍
The Slayer Rule would apply.

Arizona's slayer statute (A.R.S. § 14-2803) prohibits any person who feloniously and intentionally kills another from inheriting, receiving property, or benefiting from the victim's estate, insurance, or jointly held assets. The law treats the killer as having predeceased the victim, applying to convictions for first/second-degree murder and manslaughter.

I too wonder why WS is allowing this ... he has not been named a POI and is close family therefore a 'victim'. If he is guilty ... so many people will be right in their suspicions but if he is innocent ... so much damage to someone suffering from the loss of a loved one. MOO

I said the same last night. From reading Rules I thought it not allowed so I have been very careful about how I word things.

Realistically though, he can't have been cleared (which is the same as being POI) With the HUGE amount of accusations flying around, I would've thought an official statement would be made if he has been deemed innocent, due to being close family and the ongoing detrimental effect. Deputies were at his house last night investigating so...

I just SO don't want to believe it.

The Pima police chief was so loose with words at that first presser that I don’t entirely take everything he said there literally, including his statement about NG being at church. That being said, I find it very curious that he didn’t include the phone call in the latest timeline.

I mean this as a serious question because I'm very confused about all the comments that suggest the kidnapping and/or ransom demands are just a ruse to cover for the murder. I don't really understand what that means. How would further entangling yourself with a crime be helpful? It changes nothing.
The theory being discussed is called crime scene staging.

This is the deliberate alteration of a crime scene by an offender before police arrive to mislead investigators, or redirect the investigation. It can also be done while the police are at the crime scene and afterwards. It is the cover up of a crime. A hoax for the purpose of avoiding arrest.

This can be done by altering, changing, deleting evidence. And by providing false information in an attempt to misdirect, confuse and influence the outcome of the investigation, to avoid arrest. This can be done by providing verbal misinformation and/or written material such as suicide or ransom notes.

For example a domestic murder may be disguised as a kidnapping. The offender and sometimes the family will hide the body, make it look like an intruder entered the home. This serves to get control of the crime scene and LE. Police will immediately scatter outside the home looking for the kidnapper and victim. The killer has time to leave the jurisdiction or dispose of more evidence.

Sometimes police suffer from threshold bias where they believe the staging efforts and discard all evidence to the contrary. It can also serve to confuse the jury if the case goes to trial.

Crazy theory: Anyone else think it's suspicious that LE announced increased security around the house and suddenly all reporters on scene have gone quiet as the super bowl is getting ready to start?

Sorry if this has already been covered, but IMO, specifying USD is super weird if you're in the US speaking to someone else in the US. You would just say "dollars" in that case.

(Source: born and raised in the US and now living elsewhere else! The weird thing here is specifying the US part. I'm in Canada, where we have Canadian dollars -- I would only ever specify CAD if I'm speaking to an American and don't want them to think we're using the same currency.)

I don't view it is strange. It would fit either a constant traveler, or a person who likes to browse "cool" auctions in GB, US or China for fun. Now, there is a Singapore dollar or Hong Kong dollar so I always mentally translate. I never bought anything from them, of course, but just "to have an idea about the lives of the rich and famous".

What? I don’t understand.

Bringing up this post by Tricia again, since many are wondering why it's allowed to discuss family members as suspects here:
SHORT VERSION:
*Family members can be discussed as suspects because the sheriff has not cleared anyone.
*Nancy's very political posts could be a reason for her kidnapping. Any discussions about her postings must be discussed in connection with the kidnapping
*NO POLITICS
*Use initials when discussing the family.

I can’t tell you exactly how to post, but I can ask that you use common sense.
Because the sheriff has not cleared anyone—including family members—discussions about family members are allowed. That’s not my personal opinion; that is the current status of the investigation.
NO POLITICS.
While Nancy’s very vocal political posts may be relevant to why she was taken, that does not open the door to political debate in this thread.
Please remember: your words have power.
What you say here stays on the internet forever. The people being discussed—or their loved ones—may read these posts someday. Keep that in mind before you hit “post.”
Tricia
