The Slayer Rule would apply.Oh, I see your point - as in the perp being written out of the will/trust![]()
Arizona's slayer statute (A.R.S. § 14-2803) prohibits any person who feloniously and intentionally kills another from inheriting, receiving property, or benefiting from the victim's estate, insurance, or jointly held assets. The law treats the killer as having predeceased the victim, applying to convictions for first/second-degree murder and manslaughter.
