Moo …The call was released. The daughter listed her health conditions in the call. It’s somewhere at the begin this thread. No mention of a ransom note.
This is all I've seen in this thread. If it is the same one you are referring to, it is not a 911 call, but rather a BOLO or similar dispatch. I want to hear the person who called 911 from the house when they went to check on her and she wasn't there. The person on the audio at this link is pretty clearly a dispatcher and not a family member or friend.

I think more and more the Banfield source may have planted the thought, SIL was a POI to deflect from incompetence and lack of support for FBI. Maybe the Sheriff thought that initially and why he didn’t provide a proper investigation.
I would think Banfield's source IS in the FBI... what sources would she have developed in Pima County, especially when, according to the former Pima County homicide detective Brian Entin interviewed turnover is high in the Sheriff's Department.

I'm sure this has been brought up already, but any neighbour disputes going on in the past or current?

I can't count how many acts of violence I've read about over tensions/grudges building up between neighbours.

*ETA: when I say neighbours, I don't mean just the ones right next door but in a close vicinity.

That makes a lot of sense.

Which then leads me to the next logical step I think - That the ransomers are NOT the abductors. Following that assumption for the sake of argument, if the ransomers are NOT the abductors, then whoever abducted (or unalived, sigh) NG, was NOT motivated by money OR at least is not anymore.

Who could that be, then? -> Someone who committed the crime for other reasons. I think there is a fairly long list of "other reasons", many we have touched on here.

I just think to me, this would significantly narrow the focus on the type of perp and what/who LE is looking for now.

According to (almost) every expert commentator I have listened to (ex-FBI, ex-LE, Hostage personnel) the kidnap for ransom angle never seemed legit. Some said it was opportunist looking to extort family during the crisis.

Home invasion that went wrong is one theory. With ransom demand an afterthought to divert attention/cause media storm (ex- Navy Seal Dan O'Shea mentioned this)

Obvs there are many, many people out there who believe TC did something, whether accidentally - then cover-up...while others suggest a fight/argument and others say they planned the abduction to get rid of Ms Guthrie.

No-one knows! Except for the (at least) 2 or 3 involved.

Not sure I understand. Who are in different parts of the country? SG and POTUS? They were likely acquainted in NYC. Here's the link again where he states that it's an unusual case and he's always liked her MSN

Well he said "all"..kinda like he was gonna send "everyone" there......There are thousands of agents assigned to other parts of the country and they aren't going to drop everything and go to Tucson. That means thousands and thousands of agents would descend on Tucson to look for Nancy Guthrie. It's not gonna happen.

President Trump said he is directing all federal law enforcement to be at the disposal of Savannah Guthrie's family as the search continues for her mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie.

"I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family's, and Local Law Enforcement's, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY," Mr. Trump said on social media Wednesday night. "We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely."

I am 100% sure a FOIA request will have been made for 911 call and it hasn't been released.

If anyone in the media is reading these threads, please formally request the actual 911 call please. It would probably give everyone a lot of insights into this case, from who called, their affect, and what they may have seen that troubled them. And if LE won't release it because it "may compromise the investigation" or similar, then we can be virtually certain there is some critical information on the call itself.

And if you have requested it and it has been denied, please publish information to that effect.

I think her source was probably spot on last week and they were looking at the SIL.

But it seems they have moved on. There are no signs he's been interrogated at length at LE, or even any search warrants that we've seen. I think if he had anything to do with it we'd have seen some indication of that by now.

I would think so too, but that request and reason for denial hasn't been reported on that I've seen. Pretty crucial to report on it, because a denial says something in and of itself.

I wonder if LE released that dispatch call under the guise of a 911 call just to keep reporters at bay.

Does anyone wonder if NG never truly left the house of AG and that what happened was someone who knew the codes drove back to the house and dropped off the Apple Watch and that is how the people that wrote the ransom note had details about its location and why it disconnected in the early morning as listed on the timeline? I really wonder why Uber was used to deliver NG to the house and was this a typical process for the family when the two houses were so close together? This Uber ride would also mean that whoever orchestrated this event would not have to deal with NG car as it would remain in her garage.

I just keep thinking also about the odd blood placement on the front steps and its concentrated location precisely on the stoop and not going down the front walkway. Was what was on the front stoop really blood or something else? What was the scene inside the house? Could whoever went inside the house have been searching for something and that is what took the 40 min or so that was in the timeline?

From the Sunday am meeting with friends to view the church service as a group (vs watching local church service online) to when NG was 'discovered' to be missing, frankly not much is making sense imo.

I wonder if it was also more specific, like charging on the kitchen counter in the basket next to the yellow canister set or something with that type of detail, not just where but what was around it, details like an unusual color of charging cable, etc. that wouldn’t be easily guessable. MOO.
When it came out about the watch being in a specific spot the blue Subaru was soon after towed. I thought that's where they found it.

He could have slipped out in the middle of night to remove the cameras and clean up or whatever.
Crazy thought but what if Nancy died of natural causes - say choking at dinner - and someone staged this to gain $
Still a moral and criminal act but not actually homicide

Sadly when this happens, they often don't tell anyone. They will "think it's nothing". It's like the neigbhor kid who's nice at first and then gradually, he isn't and the elderly person feels like maybe they did something wrong themselves or they don't want to worry their families etc.

My mind comes to this at times

Great points.

Ah, And the garage opening for a measly 2 minutes. Maybe they were putting the Apple watch in her vehicle. Then went in another door .
Now I'm just reaching. For some reason the sheriff didn't want to tell us if there was forced entry, I've heard there was, then he stated "I never said there was forced entry or there wasn't. I can see why they would keep that from the public, rightfully so.

I don’t know why but I feel like this might be a mix of different crimes. Like maybe she did hit her head or became disoriented and then met with foul play later or something like that. The scene does seem staged and poorly thought out. Man this is weird.

I'm reposting to clarify.

There is nothing normal about this case. The son-in-law may have been the last person to see Nancy alive. The sheriff has not cleared anyone, and he has also stated there are no “prime suspects” at this time.

Because no one has been cleared, discussion is allowed. However, it must be done using initials only.

SHERIFF REFUSES TO RULE OUT SG'S BROTHER-IN-LAW, ACCORDING TO NYP.

The reason is simple. If someone is discussed as a possible suspect and their full name is repeated over and over, it follows them forever. Google does not forget. Using initials helps protect innocent people from long-term harm if they are ultimately not involved.

This situation is unprecedented for Websleuths. We are dealing with a kidnapping in which a family member was reportedly the last person to see Nancy. Shutting down the discussion of the people closest to Nancy and those who last saw her would effectively end the thread.

We are doing the best we can to balance open discussion with protecting innocent people. It is not a perfect system, but ultimately, we are a true-crime discussion forum, and when law enforcement has not cleared anyone and has not named a prime suspect, discussion must be allowed—carefully and responsibly.

The location of the watch has me a bit flummoxed so I just did a search.

This article is dated February 9, 2026 (BBM)

Authorities say Guthrie’s watch and phone were found left behind inside her Tucson home. Retired FBI agent John McVeigh said that matters because the watch can capture health and activity signals even when someone is not actively using it and transmit them directly to the iPhone Health app.
