At 8am this Tuesday morning on NBC Today Show they reported that a group would meet at someones house for church.

I’m behind. Has there been any reporting on whether or not the family has been asked to take or has taken polygraphs?
I haven’t seen any reporting on it. I imagine that at some point they may be asked. Not sure their lawyer would advise them to do it, innocent or not.
I’m wondering if they are collecting DNA. If they are that means they have DNA to compare to.

I’ve been going over the first press conference and the sheriff seemed almost defensive in the way he said they’re considering it a kidnapping. “When someone is taken out and they don’t choose to go, it’s a kidnapping.” Or something like that. Then he said until they have other info that shows it’s a crime scene, it’s a kidnapping. It made me feel like..why are you having to convincing us it’s a kidnapping?
Playing devil's advocate here, but many times the public assumes kidnapping is throwing a bag over someone's head and throwing them in a van - when the actual legal definition for kidnapping is being confined or moved from one place to another against your will. The sheriff probably needed to specify that she was moved against her will but nothing more - to avoid Hollywood style reporting in the news.

Something in my gut tells me this will be an unsolved crime. LE seem to be nowhere after well over a week.

I don’t understand why they reported what the president said when he has no clue as to what’s going on that was so embarrassing

I would not say POTUS has no clue what's going on. The FBI and DOJ would speak directly to him. He also spoke to SG. IMO

You make some good points. AFAWK, no random DNA found..so rather sterile scene for unknown DNA. Nancy, imo, was taken because they were planning a ransom ..It's the only thing that makes sense to me. This was well planned. This was not random. This seems like the perp wanted attention. Plan A..abduction...then slide into ransom note mode. I am sticking with my theory that SG had a stalker and this was to get her attention..something along that line. I dont think this was a botched robbery. MOO
JMO Maybe the intent was kidnap for ransom but was complicated by the hostage succumbing to her fear and/or injury shortly after she was taken hostage whereby the ransomer lost their bargaining chip and had to dispose of it. They may never reveal where she is, because there may be DNA evidence of them on the victim. This is a horrible thought, I know, but trying to get into twisted minds to figure out what they may have done to protect themselves from being revealed. Unless it turns out that Nancy IS alive, I think that this was not well thought out and not sophisticated. I suspect that the culprits are fairly young. And local. Just my thoughts.

Does anyone know who dropped her off, and why so late? I wonder if it was a special celebration. Usually elderly people don’t stay up that late.
NG had a birthday on Jan. 27th so maybe it was a birthday dinner

I understand what you are saying. The theory that she was deceased before the last sync with the watch/phone then would be debunked.

It sounds like that we know she was alive at the time it last synced, but not necessarily that the specific time is when she was taken as many have pointed out her phone/watch could have been close to her and planted back in the home.
good morning all!

I would shocked if the FBI or SO doesn't already have location data for all phones/watch/vehicles involved. Routers in the homes would show what devices were connected and times, etc. I don't even think this is data that is hard to find, even if just for preliminary findings, digging deeper may take time. But the basics, a week later, with FBI working 24/7 and their resources, I would be shocked if they don't know exactly where NG's phone/watch and where TC's phone/vehicle was that night.

IF she had her watch on and was made to take it off or it was taken off of her, it would probably have the time of that too.

Is there really no CCTV that could be of any use? I'm not talking about the house, but even like CCTV at key road intersections where cars coming from the direction of the house could be reviewed?

the really weird thing about this is, if he was not connected to the other ransom request, and money was put in the bitcoin wallet, it would not go to him so how crazy is he? wants 15 mins of fame and jail ASAP?
He needs 15 minutes in a barber chair!

After the latest statement by Savannah yesterday and the ransom note dates passing, I agree with everything you said. It really seems like LE and the FBI don’t have much information, unless they are totally throwing it off as they close in on a suspect (which i hope is the case). I originally suspected the SIL mainly because it’s usually someone close to the victim vs a totally random crime but I’m leaning away from that now. I don’t know, this is one of the craziest cases ever. I really hope they find her alive, I’ve been praying for her.

As this continues to drag on and LE continues searching NG’s and AG’s houses, it appears the focus is on the family.

I also find it strange that other than the search by LE, there hasn’t been the big community search teams out every day searching around NG’s house.

The other thing standing out now is the family is doing their own video messages. Without AG. SG & the brother both did at least one, SG maybe 2 or more. But AG, none. And none all together since the last one.

Something has changed.

I think at this point LE is trying to satisfy the burden required for the murder warrant(s) from the prosecutor’s office. They’re quietly gathering evidence. Waiting on phone records, dna results, etc.

Please no. I can't imagine this continuing on and on for her loved ones. I'm praying LE is closer than it appears. I remember in other cases fearing LE was far away and then bam, an arrest with details that surprised me about how much they knew behind the scenes. MOO

So.. I'm not 100% sure who or what if any company this Truck works for, but I can confirm this was somewhere in the past 2 months, a red truck was parked outside NG's home. Now it could be nothing, and I'm unable to provide a exact date other than 2 months.

The reason I know its within 2 months a few buildings dated Nov 2025 on Google were still being worked on, but moreso or similar on the other, and the foliage seemed a bit brighter similar to what is currentish.

1.webp

(Single Cab Truck, plenty of Extended Cab's around)

c1.webp
c2.webp

(These 2 are examples of the date, Google Street View is Nov 2025 on the Right, the left is a HERE Wego image, with similar work done on the same home, same as others I've noticed)

If anyone has experience with HERE Wego, and how reliable the data is. I can say this was taken somewhere from Nov 2025 - Jan 2026. Any other Satellite images of NG's home are from Feb 2025, this is the only 1 I was able to find that is FAIRLY recent.

My problem is I looked all around and never seen this same truck anywhere in the area. It's probably nothing, but it was a recent image, and it looks like a work truck. I wonder if LE followed up on any "work orders" if there were any.

If someone has more experience with HERE Wego to extract a date, it would be awesome.. I've only found they don't provide it even through the API's.

"There’s no identifiable pattern.
There’s no suspect description, no vehicle info, no geographic narrowing.
Even when LE hold things back, some pattern usually leaks out. Here, so far there’s nothing."
Yes, exactly this. I keep thinking about the fact there's no description at all of what NG was wearing. I understand why it might not be possible to say, since she is missing, so we cannot assume, for example, that she was in PJ's or nightie, or still the clothes NG was wearing from evening out with her family, or other clothes etc.
But I imagine LE assessing NG's home etc, would be able to ascertain if her bed had been slept in, thereby implying nightwear was worn, or were the clothes she'd been wearing that evening were put in laundry basket etc. It just seems strange that the public hasn't been given an inkling as to what Nancy may have been wearing if there is an appeal out to find her, along with a £50k award?
100%. It’s very strange.

I agree. They called off the searches so fast, imo.

How do they know NG wasn't abducted but then left nearby? Isn't it worth at least community searches? I find that odd....unless they know for sure she is not nearby.

Did the recovered (2/6) rooftop camera give LE any info? I hope so. They have not had a PC since this camera was recovered and presumably are not going to answer any questions about it right now. IMO

INTERESTING: Nancy Guthrie once asked about ‘best’ outdoor cameras for ‘activity at night’ in social media post

Was this camera always there? If so, why didn’t they take it previously? Or did LE place it there to watch for any activity? With the crime committed in the middle of the night and N being woken up by surprise, maybe she suffered a heart attack, would the pacemaker records be able to indicate that?

Nancy had such a small circle.
Snipped

Source for this? Pace a "pastor" at one of several local churches NG and local extended family in general may have attended in the five-plus decades they've lived or visited, not a single close friend has commented on any Guthrie family member's habits, thoughts, or lifestyle. Typical reticence/discipline/discretion in a small community and concerning locals gone good and high profile.

Who says this "small circle" commentary about the long-time matriarch of a high-profile local family with third-generation roots?

It's so important not to assume or extrapolate in a potential serious crimes case where local LE have a mixed track record, federal investigators are experiencing a centuries-in-a-lifetime lack of expertise crisis, a direct family member is employed in and related to the kind of soft journalism/exploitation media notorious for producing misinformation at the margins of these kinds of unexplained missing persons cases, and no adult in the room is willing to tamp down expectations on the record beyond acting as PR for one LE official who botches the idiom about whose guess is good as another's.

We've heard weird, unsubstantiated speculation about NG's heirs, some sort of inheritance three or fewer white collar children and their spouses and offspring are supposedly eager to enjoy, but there is no evidence Nancy had anything to leave beyond a house and its contents. Setting these modest and fairly garden variety assets aside, there is no indication she was "worth" more than your average middle class 80 year-old; that she represented some kind of unrealized jackpot for a family member; nor that she was isolated, abused, lacking a robust social life, a vast interior life, hobbies, autonomy, and a bright future--a few common geriatric physical nags notwithstanding. She drove her own car during the daytime. Hired rides in the evening. Clearly enjoyrd the company of her three remarkable children and many grandchildren.

That her peers and neighbors refrain from euologies are likely a sign of respect, discretion, and hope. NOTHING reported thus far suggests she was isolated. Please cite to the contrary.

I have been thinking the same thing. She has been in the same neighborhood 50 years, is active at church, seems so well liked. I wonder if there are community led searches we haven't heard about?

Completely agree. LE would have location data from phones, towers, and any usage during key hours. Searches would be conducted whereever devices were pinging off towers. Depending on the year of a vehicle, they can download driving data or even location data from the vehicle. Considering that the only searches (that we know of) have occurred at only two places, makes me think someone's story isn't adding up but there isn't enough evidence to affect an arrest -OR- they have someone(s) under surveillance -OR- they have been negotiating with someone(s) to disclose where NG is and that negotiation is not going well.

These opinions are based on what appears to be the lack of any bloodhounds, volunteer groups, etc conducting searches anywhere.
