To be fair, I could know that person and I would never have recognized them. That whole mask obscures too many features.
Your post made me think.

As a thought exercise - I can readily tell this is NOT one of my immediate family members, for example, nor other specific people I thought about just to try “recognizing.” But, I personally had to think of a person and eliminate them, I admit didn’t instantly get a “recognition” of everyone I’ve ever known with maybe similar eyes or gait popping into my head, if that makes sense.

So hopefully people take a few minutes to think about the people they know or who are around them, to then consider resemblance? (Especially people in Tucson area, and/or people with any remotely similar criminal history as a starting place imo.)

Some observations after initial look at pics & vid...

1) We do have some answers now...how the flower stems got on the porch and that NG's blood was not there prior to these pics.
2) Currently I think this was his initial approach to the house - might change that opinion later - but previously I thought entry might have been elsewhere and he stood inside the doorway to remove this camera - now I don't think he was in the back yard first.
3) My doorbell camera (Ring) sounds an alert when motion is detected. I am now wondering whether NG may have been asleep and heard that alert that someone was at her front door and instead of checking the phone she just went to the front door and was assaulted there. (If so, it is possible that was actually caught on the camera before it was removed and they just aren't releasing it or discussing it.)
4) I agree this guy had a mustache but that doesn't necessarily mean he still has one today.
5) I've never seen anyone wear a holster quite like that. I know the guy on NBC has said it is an appendix carry but typically that is a holster that is tucked inside the pants - clips on to the belt or pants from the other side. This appears to be a hip holster being worn as an appendix carry on the outside. Not sure how to properly explain that but what I'm trying to say is that on a hip holster usually the clip is on the side toward the body and an appendix carry it is usually on the side away from the body. I've never seen anyone wear an appendix holster on the outside of their clothing like that - nor dangling down in front of the pelvic area like that - typically worn inside the clothing and up higher so it won't interfere with walking or sitting. Hopefully someone will recognize this holster especially if this guy is known to have worn it oddly like this.
6) Someone somewhere saw him with that backpack or jacket or ski mask - maybe when purchased - maybe in a hotel lobby or campground or gas station. I really hope the release of these pics leads to some tips that lead to some answers soon.

There's more running thru my mind but that's it for me for at least a few hours - I really do have to get some work done. I know this thread will move quickly this afternoon and no way will I be able to catch up and read everything but I'll pop in and out and read some of your insights as time allows. It was hard to see this man at her door knowing that she has now been missing for 10 days but I am glad to finally know they have something to go on.

Could be fake but this person may have worn their actual glasses, which would be quite helpful.
At first glance at the picture, I thought maybe I was seeing glasses but couldn't be sure.

Interesting article about the Scottsdale home invasion. Maybe related? Somebody likes the number "6". Scottsdale Home Invasion Linked to $66M Crypto Plot, Teens Arrested "Following an initial probe, detectives determined that Sullivan and LaPaille were likely “pawns” rather than the operation’s masterminds. Records indicate the teens were contacted roughly a month prior by individuals using the handles “Red” and “8” on the Signal app."

Questions for the masses:

1) Was this guy alone? Doubt a kidnapper would work alone to take an 84 year old woman with limited mobility. Since we know she was removed from the house - how? She had limited mobility and this guy is dressed in restrictive clothing. Stats on NG say 150 lbs. That's alot to carry, get in your car, etc. So then motive is robbery- very rare for a robbery to result in the absence of a body.

2) Is there someone else who was at the back door? That 2nd person destroyed the light. This would make it a planned kidnapping. The front door camera being disabled to not record the 2nd person.

3) Is this a botched robbery with two people? Then why remove NG?

4) The camera is clearly triggered with motion outside of the patio. Are there video of a car passing?

There was a full or close to a full moon that night. Moon provides tons of light in Tucson and one doesn't need to turn on lights to walk outside. Interesting why they used the flashlight - a step, better see how to get the nest cam off the door or . . .
No verification he had a flashlight. Nest doorbells have a built in light. My feeling is that the full moon and the light from the doorbell illuminated him AND the hanging flowers we see in the photo. JMO

The mouth looks extremely off. I don’t think this is the perpetrators actual mouth. There is a further level of concealment going on.
I feel like it's a black mask under the other mask. What everyone else is seeing as eyebrows and a mustache, I see as another mask underneath it, thanks for the zoomed in mouth, it looks way off to me too.

That light he has in his mouth, comes on and off - I'm working on trying to get a good image and enhance it a bit without it. Not even sure how he is able to have it on/off.

If they'd anticipated the camera, I have a feeling they would have come up with a much better solution. It's clearly improvised. I know it's stereotypical, but I feel like a grown man confronted with an unexpected Nest cam would reach down and grab one of the many rocks to smash it, instead of choosing to pluck a vine or some shrubbery to obscure part of the camera lens. This makes me lean toward a woman or a young person.

If so, why go to all the trouble at the front door? He's walked up to it from somewhere.
And the yard is rock and cacti. Not easy to hide in. I'd guess he parked close by.
Moo
And he walked to purposely miss the blood droplets area imo. Maybe blood droplets not yet at area. Why would he need a gun to abduct an 84 year old frail woman who had health issues and mobility problems? Seems like NG was not at house when the gun guy showed up. Seems staged

This guy came prepared. Someone paid him to do this, don’t you think? It wouldn’t be just a break in or rape the way he is loaded down. Maybe someone wanted her out of the way? Maybe there really was a ransom but she passed and they can’t deliver?
Well if someone did pay him to do this, I'm sure his instructions were not "if there is a ring camera, take some nearby lantana and cover it!"

Interestingly enough, I don't see confidence. I see frustration and having to come up with a way to cover a camera that they didn't factor in? Or it was meant to be disconnected?

I don't know. There's something odd about this person's attitude. Someone who knew the camera was there would have, to my mind, come prepared to immediately destroy it. This person looks as if a key was expect among the pebbles, and the camera is a hassle.

Just thoughts...opinions.
Didn’t even have to destroy the camera. Covering it with tape would work…but alas person brought none. Then backtracks on camera to show gait (which will help determine height) and shoes, which can lead to shoe size from size of tiles. Not a thorough plan-ahead or during. Did they think a ski mask and gloves would be enough? Happy to realize this criminal slipped up, as I was starting to feel it was super powers were involved. Or the luck of the Irish.

From the video provided are we sure they were ringing the doorbell and not opening it with a key? I can’t tell and I don’t see anything with sound.

If the perp didn't remove the Nest from its bracket until after the scuffle with NG in the doorway, they may actually have that footage, as well. MOO!
And sound

you can clearly see he has a flashlight. he clicks it on to look down and check his path, then off again when he reaches the porch.

I don’t think this person has thin brows. The lighter coloured edging of the eye holes are partially covering the brows. The lighter coloured material mimics skin but I think it’s just the design of the eye holes making the brows look thin/feminine. A bit of an optical illusion
Agree. The inner part of the ski mask kind of looks like skin but it really isn't. It is deceiving.

Now, the eyebrows are thick. That is for sure. And darker colored. And I do think that is a real mustache as well.

If NG did not have a connected device right next to her, she may not have heard a camera doorbell. If sound asleep, she may have only realized when she woke up to him in her bedroom. Did her dog bark, I wonder?
Moo
no dog, the black dog is AG's
