It wasn’t a ring camera - it was a nest - a google nest - and google is the “tech” company that helped - make sense they could help with their own equipment. As for not finding her being dropped off - she entered via garage and nest camera on front door couldn’t see the garage door..
The OP is probably just referring to it generically as a Ring camera.

Yeah, this.

As many, including ex LE commentators have said his actions are "off". Even the porch pirates stealing packages show up on Ring community vids with hoodies pulled over and looking down assuming or seeing cams.

He had a full backpack and other nonsense but not spray paint or even a powerful IR emitter off Amazon would have flooded that camera view without tipping off anyone before it could record.

The wannabe get up (with plenty of flaws; reflectors, gloves obstructively thick), the casually picking up of the latanas flowers, it's just weird. And I think the guy will turn out to be, well, weird.
I took it that he was surprised by the doorbell camera which is kind of surprising in itself and that was all he could find to cover it and for some reason he seemed to think it was a good idea

The only reason they released the footage we have seen is because it shows images of an alleged perpetrator. They're not going to release videos that don't show things they want they public's help searching for. They're not worried about helping us confirm or deny our theories. So even if they have tons more video, that may answer questions we have, I can't see why they would release them without it serving an investigative purpose. JMO

Investigators keep going back to AGs house i would think bc that is the last known place she was alive.
This is a good point... They have the garage opening times, but wouldn't the car be visible on these cameras if she was dropped off? Headlights at the very least. Either something is rotten in the state of Denmark or we're missing key info.

If FBI ever comes to my door I’m inviting them in for coffee. I can’t believe how many photos of neighbors I’ve seen on here and SM. Talk about lack of privacy!
Years ago FBI did come to my door - in CA. I owned property in another state, rented it, and FBI was interested in renter. I knew nothing about renter's background.

So does the fact he was blocking the camera with them, especially since he had already approached it and walked back to get some. That sounds more far-fetched to me. Just trying to ponder other reasons he'd do that. I'm not convinced he did what I said, it was an idea I was tossing out.

All JMO.

ETA - Plus, he's not even trying to hide behind them, or use them to block his face. Not from this angle. Nope.

I swear I thought that was a rosary he was holding up to the camera when I'd first seen it.

If I were that person in the video, I would be running to another country right now.

Did anyone else find the still shots of the person to be terrifying, but the video to be almost bumbling?

“I imagine they’re getting pretty close.”

Former Pima County SWAT team member Bob Krygier, who retired just 30 days ago, speaks to OutFront after a major break in the Nancy Guthrie case.

oh no it looks like he did do just that to me at least - he walks up and sees the doorbell camera, tries to hit it turns around as if he is looking for something to cover it and gets the weeds/flowers as though that was the best he could do...which contributes to the perception of not so good at this...
Well, if that's what he actually did he needs to go back to abduction school cuz he most certainly flunked Face Hiding 101.

And that's MO. lol

It's a 60 minute drive to the border from Tucson. He may already be there.

The kidnapper’s lack of mobility stood out to me. Either was wearing way too many layers or really struggles with flexibility.

What I don't understand is that even without a subscription to the ring camera the FBI was able to work with a tech company to unearth the video of the suspect at her door at 2 am. If they could do that why can't they unearth a video of when she was dropped off at her home around 9:45 pm Jan 31st.
I’m thinking they probably can and have, but if she went in through the garage, it might only be video of a car pulling in and around….but it would be something.

The camera reported to be one that rewrites over video every 3 hours. “Luckily” the subject approaching the door dismantled the camera so it actually could no longer rewrite over video. The last images saved were thus able to be accessed. And they were of him.
